From the anointed history of Regola della Ragazza
The origins of Regola della Ragazza comes from some fifty years back when a group of former female sex slaves came to the region. They intermarried with the locals and soon the Grand Duchy of Regola della Ragazza was formed. However the leader of the former slaves and now Grand Duchess, Amelia, wanted revenge on men for what she went through. So Amelia passed a number of laws stripping men of all of thier rights, and clothes. Under Amelia’s new laws men became nothing more then semi-intelligent breeding fodder. Amelia made men born to the Grand Duchess the exception of course, which was a good thing since when Amelia died after thirty years of reign, she left only sons: Duke Pavel, Duke Andrei, and Duke Stefan. All three could not succeed their mother and all three had daughters who could. For a time the national congress ruled in place of a Grand Duchess. Finally they chose the daughter of Duke Andrei, Countess Mariana, to become the new Grand Duchess. On her sixteenth birthday Mariana recived the oath of loyalty from the National Congress and the country.
5 MONTHS LATER.......
Mariana Andreiovna Remizena walked through corridors of the Grand Palace with her mind in a tumult. Daddy and the Uncles are insane, why must we do this! I am not ready to rule this country as it is now, what makes them think I can rule it while standing on a pedstal in front of the whole world! After mentally calming herself Mariana pushed through the door in front of her and sat down in her plush chair. Standing in front of her was her father and uncles, who bowed deeply as Mariana entered.
"It is a pleasure to see you Mariana" said Uncle Pavel smiling.
"Indeed it is daughter" voiced Andrei
Stefan, who could not speak, just nodded.
Mariana smiled at each man and spoke "Well then lets hear your proposals"
"Mariana you must realize if we are to survive as a nation we must reform, this means we must do away with Grandmother's out dated laws" said Pavel
"Uncle Pavel, I told you at the coronation what my answer was."
"It has been six months Mariana, surely you must have-_"
"NO! That is my final answer Uncle Pavel!" Mariana suddenly interrupted. "If you bring this up again, I will banish you"
Uncle Pavel looked shocked, then smiled "Huh.... I don't believe you have the willpower to do such a thing Mariana. At any rate I must leave, good day"
Mariana glared daggers at Uncle Pavel's retreating backside and sat down again. "Anyone else have a proposal?" she asked
Uncle Stefan nodded and began 'talking' in sign language, with Andrei interpeting.
Mariana I believe the best course of action would be to focus on our country's internal development, so we can complete in the world market With that Stefan nodded and smiled
"I agree Uncle Stefan, we shall do that" Mariana signed to Stefan, then she embraced him and watched as he left.
"Daddy do you have a suggestion?" Mariana asked as Stefan left
"I agree with Stefan, daughter" said Andrei after a pause "I also think you should just banish Pavel and get with it. I mean no disrespect but Uncle Pavel should called Uncle Deadbeat"
Mariana laughed, then quickly quieted down. "That was not nice Daddy" she said smiling "I suppose if you have nothing more to say then I shall leave for my address"
Andrei smiled for a few moments at Mariana before speaking "You have made me very proud Mariana, I am certian that your Grandmother would pleased at the young woman you turned out to be. I know you will do fine daughter, but good luck out there"
Mariana nodded and kissed her father on the cheek "Thanks"
BEFORE THE NATIONAL CONGRESS
Mariana gulped a glass of ice water before speaking. "Equals of Regola Della Regazza I what to thank you for your vote of confidence of me and my proposal to bring us out into the world. I shall not fail you or our country before the world, I shall see us made a great power."
A cheer arose from the crowd listening before letting Mariana continue.
"I wish to reveal to the National Congress that as of announcement Regola Della Ragazza shall focus on our econmny so that we better complete in the world. Thank you, now I must take my leave of you!"
Another cheer arose as Mariana stepped down from the podium and walked out.
