Mississippian Egyptian Forces Land in Angola and Botswana

Decisive Action

Ooc- In response to http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=372383

Responding to recent Seryownian attempts to destroy Mississippi by killing the Czar and Czarina, which fortunately failed, Governor-General John Tallmadge of Mississippian Egypt declared, "The Czarina, Alice Fabus, likely being the sole ethnic Serya left in the world, due to the Czar's nuclear attacks against Seryown, should have a claim to Botswana and Angola, and this claim will be protected by Mississippian Egypt."

Tallmadge immediately ordered three Commonwealth Parachute Divisions into Angola and three into Botswana, with plans to follow-up by placing 5 Reserve Infantry Divisions in Botswana, and 20 in Angola. Along with 10 Infantry Divisions in Angola, and 3 in Botswana.

The parachute forces would lead the way...

Currently there were over 1,000 C-130s and 200 C-17s making their way from Mississippian Egypt to Angola and Botswana, to finish dropping the rest of the forces. Already there was 1 parachute division in Angola, and 1 in Botswana.

Also in Angola, it was time for the White Knights of Angola to rise-up, the remnants of old previous colonial regimes, the nearly twelve thousand strong organization immediately threw itself against Luanda, Luena, and Cabinda, they'd surely quickly overwhelm local police garrisons.

Ooc- The compromise for Mississippian Egypt and Western Sahara agreeing to end slavery without any compensation or hesitation, was that ME would get to add a few pieces of land to their control. Roger wasn't thrilled about this, but he gave his word to Tallmadge, and thus he had no real choice but to let Tallmadge take two pieces of land, and what better land than that of a power who attacked DA...

He has declared that he will allow them to practice whatever beliefs they want, as long they're private about it, and swear loyalty to him publicly. I think that's fair enough. However, in Angola, no man that was involved in the marxist anti-Mississippian movements, that fought against the government when my father was ruler, shall be allowed to hold a seat. However, race will not be used as a factor in deciding who can and who cannot run for office. The Senate seats will be open to any man, regardless of race. We would allow them open to women, but the tribal customs of the nation of Angola seem to be such that to do so would be to offend them, and we don't want to offend the culture of the other peoples in the lands in the Commonwealth."

Ooc- Learn to read, Mississippian Egypt did this. And part of my agreeing to RP the end of Seryown with Seryown (he needed somebody to nuke him to death, he approached me) and so I agreed, but I got Botswana and Angola. So, yeah, first of all, he handed them over basically, and anyway, it's Mississippian Egypt doing it... And oh, your military capabilities don't scare me.

Why don't you actually wait and see how Angola and Botswana do under ME rule. They might be better off. Who knows, this is the Roger Fabus regime, not the Curtis Fabus regime.

A real man would have invaded and crushed the nation under an iron fist, then systematically exterminated the populace, man, woman and child.

It is certainly sad that the only ethnic Sery left in existence is a dirty whore, but just as well, they still live on.

However... I will not tolerate the enslavement of Angola and Botswana by Mississippian forces.

Let it be known then, that any attempt to attack the newly sovereign territories will be met with extreme force."

To Czar Fabus:

A small embassy staff does not qualify as a team of observers. We no longer have any interest in establishing an embassy. We will dispatch two teams, one to Angola and one to Botswana.

For the record, Hillyard does not believe that thirty individuals can make sure national elections are legitimate. Also, we remind Mississippian Egypt that they have invaded two territories that were once colonies of another sovereign nation. We have no interest in seeing the people of these nations subjugated, and our observers will be in-country to be sure that if they must be under your rule, they will at least have a voice.

We would gladly accept any help from the nation of Hallad in this mission, but at present, Hallad seems more interested in watching from close distance. If they would like to get involved at a later date, we will gladly work with them in the interests of peace and freedom.

Our observers are preparing to depart Hillyard and will arrive in Angola and Botswana within the month.

OOC: First, a quick note: As I explained to DA over IM, Botswana would collapse very quickly. Hitting the capital of Botswana would destroy its infrastructure, and the people would be perfectly willing to support DA if it offered a new infrastructure quickly - in addition, the gov't of DA is actually less oppressive than that of Serya Botswana, so eh - they'd like it.
Angola is a different matter. The people of Angola obeyed their right to own a gun with pleasure. In addition, they had lots of other rights. Angola was one of the most small-gov't areas in the world, and the people liked it that way - they're very capable of managing themselves and would rather everyone else just get out - now other people are actively imposing more law onto them, and they don't like that. So they fight.

Transcript of :"Peter"'s Speech
Following is the transcript of "Peter"'s speech in an audiotape sent to Aljazeera. In the interests of authenticity, the conent of the transcript, which appeared as subtitles at the foot of the screen, has been left unedited.
Saint Peter, for the billions of you who are not Christian, was one of the apostles of Jesus. The emperor there, Nero, an insane man failing to follow the basic precepts that Peter's God and Nero's gods laid down for us to follow, ordered the crucifiction of Peter personally.
I will not pretend to be like my namesake. I have done none of the great acts that Peter performed; I have never been so blessed as Peter was, to have personally witnessed Christ. But this country, this beautiful Angola, this is like Peter. The people of Angola were among the most free people in the entire world. We loved each other. And though I am a Christian, I was capable of respecting the fact that my next-door neighbor on one side was a Jew, on the other side an atheist. This new occupier is not willing to respect that.
Even when they say they will not make decisions by one's race or religion, one need only look at their face to see that is a lie.
The governments of this commonwealth make a mockery of what Jesus Christ intended. They ignore the forgiveness that Christ practiced, the acknowledgements of Christ. They forget that the Bible was written by humans and take the words of the writers over the words of God. They are unwilling to make any advance in society.
Angola is like Peter. Egypt is like the insane Nero, ordering the murder of a thing that has stood for peace and freedom the world over. Egypt, and its overlords a hemisphere across the world, are like the insane Nero, conquering the world and disrupting the balance of power in the world.
In the next few days and years, the international community may witness some unfortunate acts. The international community, I hope, will recognize these acts as being those acts undertaken by a people who stand for freedom and safety, acting out against an oppressor. We are not terrorists - these invaders are the terrorists. Please understand that.

End of Tape...

After ransacking records, nothing has been turned up to suggest one or any Peter's of having created this tape.

OOC: Please note that as an aljazeera broadcast, this probably would have gotten around the media news cycle pretty quickly, the world over.

Gabriel stepped off the plane, down the decrepit steps, and on to African soil for the first time in his young life. Only thirty two years old, Gabriel Mathews was the son of Jonah Mathews, head of the People's Office of Foreign Affairs. He'd served two full terms with the People's Marine Corps as Force Recon Sergeant, and had joined the Diplomatic Corps after his discharge. Now, because of his military experience, Gabriel would be leading both observation missions in Angola and Botswana.

The sun was high in the clear sky, and though it was early, the heat was already coming. Behind him Gabriel heard the rest of his team deplaning. Some remarked on the weather, but most whispered quietly to one another about the columns of armed Mississippian guards waiting to greet them on the runway of Luanda.

Gabriel gave them the once over, took off his sun glasses, and turned to his team.

"Remember, all of you. They agreed to let us carry out our mission. We all want the same things- a peaceful, free Angola. Be respectful, but remember, we have a job to do." Gabriel turned again, waiting for the approaching ME officer.

"Here we go..." Gabriel thought to himself.
