There are so many nations that offer tons of new and better weapons, battleships, tanks, EMP’s, assault guns, etc… Especially the young nations are attracted by these supplies, and they order millions of that… but there’s a little problem: These nations have no more than 50 millions of inhabitants, the most of them are children (or do you think that they born at 18 years old?)…So…who’s going to defend your country?? I know: that’s the cause you that is the cause by which they buy so many weapons …but you haven’t enough soldiers to use that.
We’ll give you the solution.
Due to the incredible advances in human clonation and genetic manipulation added to a military training of highest level, the military labs of our empire have created a new kind of soldier.
These soldiers are the highest success of the science: they reach the maturity in five years, staying in this optimal stage of development by a period of thirty years (we can slow down the cellular aging), their capacity of adaptation and learning reaches the highest level at which a human can arrive.
The basic training of these soldiers includes: ninjutsu, iaido, jiu-jitsu, gun kata (have you ever seen Equilibrium?), military strategy and the use of the most advanced armament (including airplanes, battleships, etc…).
We have 5 millions of soldiers in state of suspended animation, and soon will be ready another crop of them.
We’ll sell no more than a million of soldiers to each country that wants to buy (one million of soldiers=500.000.000.000 us dollars).

OOC: 25 million soldiers in a 56 million nation... even if they are suspended Animation thats rather farsical don't you think? Also, you would need to keep taking them out of suspended animation to retrain them every few years, because of the new advances in technology... doesn't help that there are literally hundreds of different tech models in NS. Also I assume your playing modern tech not an FT/MT combo?

OOC: I've seen Equillibrium, excellent film with some great action and music, good use of lighting and set design too.

My mistake...the "2" in the "25" is a typographic error, they are just 5 millions...and, if I reveal what kind of technology i use to keep them sleeping and training, this bussines will not profitable for me.

IC: We still wish to go forward with the order of 1 million soldiers. Payment for large one-time expenditures comes out of the Administrative, not Defence, budget, as the local bureaucrats have more money than they know what to do with.

Please tell us which bank to wire the $500 billion to. Unless, of course, you'd rather have us fill up a few 777's with cold, hard cash and fly them to your nation. :D

The same way that I support conventional soldiers. However, these soldiers are theoretically less expensive to support than regular volunteer soldiers, because they do not need to be paid as much as a volunteer would.

As for my regular volunteer army, large sections of it will be demobilized and placed in the reserves. These soldiers are intended primarily as replacements, for they have far better training and are physically superior to volunteers.

Some of the soldiers being replaced will end up doing logistical work.

OOC: What I meant was how do you feed them? How to you get ammunition for all of them? The 5% max military doesnt mean there is only 5% of your population that can join the military, it means that you can only support 5% of your population being in the military (and that's a little optimistic IMO).

1,000,000 men comes out to be a tad under 0.3% of my population. Before this, I rped with armed forces numbering about 900,000, with a very heavy emphasis on the navy. However, I only rped being able to deploy two carrier groups at a time.

Even if I kept all 900,000 men that were in my military in, my military would only be 0.57% of my population. However, I plan on demobilizing about 500,000 of the volunteers, so my army will number 1,400,000 and be 0.42% of my population. (My population is 335 million)

As regards food, we have a trade surplus of nearly thirty billion dollars, at least according to Thirdgeek. We are an archipelago nation, so we are used to importing things like food and ammunition, and it isn't that difficult to import a little more food with such a trade surplus. I do have access to plentiful deep-sea oil deposits, which helps the situation greatly.

In regards to my puppet, Woody Industries, they are only beginning to build up their army, and 14,000 soldiers constitutes a mere 0.042% of their population of 29 million. This isn't anywhere near the 5% borderline godmod that you speak of.

My hypothesis is that you confused the two orders, and thought that the little puppet nation was the one ordering one million soldiers. In which case, you would raise a very valid point.

You've obviously never run across my nation in combat then. Trust me, my SHADOW special forces are trained in gun kata, besides other things as well. Plus, they are not mass produced. They are regular human beings, albeit with some slight tweaking and enhancements!
