This morning at 8:00am GMT, Chancellor Wilhelm von Leuwendorf singed a new 500 billion Franc Defensive program, designed to protect the small republic of St. Beuttocillei from foreign invasion. The program consists of 5 main parts:
Formation of 2 new field Armies:
These field armies will consist of approx. 500,000 soldiers each, along with:
- 2,500 Leopold MK. 3 Tanks
- 3,000 105-mm Howitzers
- 6,500 75-mm Howitzers
- 1,000 250-mm Howitzer
- 650 MLRS Vehicles
- 2,000 Hausenhouf Light Tanks
- 1,000 Roland Anti-Aircraft Systems
Formation of 10 fighter and 5 bomber squadrons:
Each squadron contains 50 aircraft. Fighter Squadrons will contain mostly Euro-fighter Multi-Role aircraft, along with E-767 Reconnaissance aircraft. Bomber Squadrons will maintain B-1 Strategic Bomber aircraft and Jessen Low-Altitude Strike Aircraft.
Construction of Fortified defenses:
Using the country's mountainous landscape, Engineers are constructing 3 layers of Reinforced Concrete bunkers, buried under 2 1/2 miles of earth. These bunkers will be connected by a complex system of tunnels and will stretch across the entire perimeter of the country. Long/Medium-Range Cruise Missiles, along with 250-mm and 300-mm artillery pieces will be strategically placed throughout the bunker system. Various Machine-gun nests, minefields and tank-ditches will be placed near these bunkers to provide support.
Revolutionized Organizational System:
The Armies will be organized and managed by a new electronic software program. Using GPS technology, units in the field will be able to view the constantly changing land-scape of the battlefield, instantly. Furthermore, Commanders at HQ will be able to distribute orders to soldiers in the field, using this software as well. All this information will projected through a eye piece on the soldier's helmet. Platoon Communications officers will be given small PDA-type devices to relay developments in the battle back to HQ, along with normal Radio communication.
New Modular Assault Equipment:
Soldiers on the field will now be equipped with the following:
- AN-94 Assault Rifle (5.56 NATO)
- BRG-15 .50 caliber Heavy Machine Gun
- M-1A Semi-Automatic Pistol ( 9-mm parabellum)
- JRT-22 "Nikita" Laser Guided Anti-Tank Launcher
The new Modular Body Armor, is made up of a new synthetic polymer, capable of stopping small/medium caliber rounds. The Body is in the form of Chest, Shoulder, Knee, Gauntlet , Thigh, and Shin plates, along with the Helmet. This Armor weighs around 10kg and allows free-movement of the body.
Over the next 5 years, these reforms will take full-effect. Allowing the small Republic to relax and enjoy its new found sense of security.
