The British Ocean States nations of:
Teawa & Neuston
Narshe
Ouerziland & Kerske

Would like to announce the Southern Socialist Alliance.

This alliance is formed to unify all Socialist nations in the southern regions of any world.
Basically, the alliance offers members the following:
Mutual Aid- to be prescribed by the top nations- more of which later.
Military Aid
Trade Subsidies

"Top Nations" clause- This basically means the British Ocean Authority States (mentioned above), Vas Pokohoronim and one other country. These "top three" nations decide on who gets aid and when. This also applies to conflicts and whether we choose to involve ourselves.

Membership: To be decided by the 3 nations. Should you be interested in applying, then telegram me (British Teawa) or Vas Pokhoronim. The nation you apply to will sponsor your membership into the alliance and thus will sue for you against the other two nations if a unilateral agreement cannot be reached.

We look forward to your interest into joining us.

Who are we?

The Socialist Alliance Community consists of The Soviet State of Hrstrovokia, The Democratic Republic of Vas Pokhoronim and The British Ocean States. These nations are linked by their Socialist political, social and economic systems and a common desire to spread, aid and maintain Socialism and Socialist states throughout the World.

What is Socialism?

In a socialist society the means of production are owned by the workers rather than by a rich minority of capitalists or functionaries. Such a system of ownership is both collective and individual in nature.

It is collective because society can control production unlike the economic anarchy of capitalism and because production is for the common good rather than for individual profit.

At the same time it is individual because workers are no longer a 'collective' mob of alienated non-owners employed by a minority of owners. Work becomes a free and self-affirming activity for each worker and they receive the full fruits of their labor. The capitalists and their servants no longer control production nor grow rich from other's toil. Everybody is an owner. Socialism is genuine free enterprise.

The personally empowering and cooperative nature of socialist ownership underpins similar changes in other aspects of life. Socialism means far healthier individuals and human relationships. It means full participation by each individual in the intellectual, cultural and political life of society.

Socialism requires a revolution with three main stages: firstly the emergence of a workers' movement committed to socialist revolution, secondly the achievement of political power and the expropriation of the capitalists and thirdly a period during which workers learn how to be owners and rulers and cast off the psychological and ideological dross of the past.

Socialism will not be an utopia simply created in people's minds. It will be the product of economic and social development. In developed countries it is now possible for everyone to live a reasonably affluent life and be free of long hours of routine toil. This creates a better basis for cooperation and mutual regard. Historically, where equality would have meant shared poverty, it was inevitable that a minority would plunder, enslave and exploit the majority.

At the same time rank and file workers are progressively acquiring through their experiences, the abilities to do without an elite. Their general level of education and training has advanced significantly over the last couple of generations. The work they do, while still totally oppressive, has an increasingly mental and conceptual content. And they now have extensive access to cultural and intellectual resources and the diverse experiences of living in a modern society. So while socialism was impossible in the past, these emerging conditions make it inevitable in the future.

Socialism can only be achieved by overthrowing and totally dismantling the old Capitalist system.

What are the requirements?

Your nation must be committed to Socialism, or it's lower form, Communism. Any Socialist nation of any size may join. You must be willing to fight for Socialism on every front, whether it be by propoganda or the battlefield. Only together can we defeat the evil that now confronts, consumes and belittles us as Human beings.

What are the benefits?

Guranteed Financial, Agricultural and Military Aid. Unswerving support from your fellowing members. Guranteed trading partners. Access to superior technology. A better standard of living and security against the common enemy.

This is only the beginning. The formation of the Machine which will drive this alliance is in the making. Soon, Socialism will once again be at the forefronts of everyones minds. Soon, the battle will be taken up once again. The truth about Socialism, despite the lies spread against it by it's detractors. The Alliance shall spread from nation to nation, and then to fellow Alliances.

This is only the beginning. Workers of the world, UNITE!

OoC: Still very preoccupied with RL, and negotiations at a delicate (but now positive) point with the Imperialists--and thanks, guys--could not have survived without you, or even succeeded in negotiations.
Anyway, here's a brief statement:

The Sovereign People of the Democratic Republic of Vas Pokhoronim fully endorse our Hrstrovokian comrades' Statement of Position.
At most, we might wish that a clause be added to the effect that the Alliance embraces political pluralism as a necessary antecedent to World Socialism.
It is also suggested that the acronym be rendered officially as SociAlCom, as being less unwieldy than SocialAllCom.
The Charter provisions suggested are not objected to. We will soon be issuing a statement with respect to our own ideas regarding how they may best be implemented, and a dialogue may then commence.
It is Justice that we are building here, and the Foundation of a Better Tomorrow.

OoC: The war's over. Oy.
I think we should call this the Yosan Pact. Maybe move it to a thread with that name. SociAlCom (or SocialAllCom) can remain the organization's official name, of course. What do you guys think?
