The squadron of A-10's was closing in on an identified enemy base. The lead six broke off, diving towards the compound of tents, horses, trucks, and old tanks. The other 9 prepared to cirlce around, and bomb the base.
The first six A-10's could see the base.
"Delta one four six attack. Release in 10."
.....
"Release in 5"
...
"Release bombs"
At that moment six A-10's released 36 total loads of bombs. The cluster munitions exploded, making bright yellow and orange light fill up the sky, illuminating everything within 500 feet.
30 seconds later, a second attack came through, with the remaining nine A-10's, which released their loads, a total of 54 fell to the ground, making more lights, this time a lot brighter.
