"The Holy Paradise government has announced today that it has begun research on robotic infantry for the army. Gen. Benjamin released this statement announcing the incredible news:

'I am proud to announce that Holy Paradise has begun researching on robotic infantry for the HP Armed Forces. However, I must let you know that these will not be completed for about 6 years and that even then they will only be prototypes. Also, they will not make up a huge portion of the armed forces when they are ready and they will never be a huge portion of the armed forces.'

Both the Liberal Party and the Conservative Party agreed with the idea, but for different reasons:

Liberal Representative: 'We are very excited about this beginning of this research project. It will lower the amount of lives lost in war. But we wish they would put more in the armed forces when they are ready.'

Conservative Representative: 'We are also excited. These robots will be able to show the world our military's power. We are also glad that they will not put too many in the armed forces, for human soldiers can be more valuable in recon operations.'"

In one of the labs, the exciting beginning would soon turn to a tragic start:

(2 scientists are assembling the first test brain)
Scientist 1: I don't think we should try this. Do you know how unstable and dangerous that new chemical is? One wrong move and BOOM!
Scientist 2: Relax, buddy. Chemical HP-529 is a dangerous chemical, but is the main part of our robots' brains......I hope. This chemical will give the robot absolute discipline and obedience to whoever its programmed to obey orders from. It also gives it the determination, strategy, and attack and defense moves to help it fight. Now let me just pour this one small drop in it and.....

(A small drop of the green chemical pours from the beaker and misses the brain. A large explosion resounds as the entire lab is destroyed in a ball of flames. In the rubble, the 2 scientists' bodies are still standing, their body a burnt skeleton with some charred remains of skin on it. Their eyes are wide and hold a frightened look before plopping to the ground, sizzling. Fire engines, police cars, and ambulances soon arrive. The bodies are put in two stretchers and covered with body bags.)

Ah, yes. This would be the place, Agent Orange thought. He stopped his Aston Martin DB5 and got out. The building was Grant Press, according to the sign. Just a pawn. He walked in, and smiled at the secretary, smoothly walking past. Natasha, her nametag read. Orange entered the elevator, looking for all the world like he fit in with his Armani suit and leather suitcase. Unlike all the journalists, however, he was headed for the roof. Due to the fact, however, that the elevator only went up to the top floor, he took the fire exit up onto the roof. He picked the package up that he left earlier.

Looking to disrupt this unnatural army production, the government of New Charvis had sent Agent Orange to eliminate one of the lead scientists involved.

He opened his package, and removed the first item. It was a PSG-1, with a laser sight and integral sound suppression. With it was a note that read: "You are now officially disowned by the New Charvis Government, until you return successful.He put the second item on his back, just in case.

The aformentioned head scientist was pulling up to the government installation. Orange hefted the PSG-1 and got a shot lined up. He took it. However, the target's body guard element had seen the flash of his gun when he was loading it, and got in the way of the shot. Due to a low military budget, he had been supplyed with 1 bullet, a lucky rabbit's foot, and the second item. Due to this, he had to run now.

Not for the first time realizing he should escape, he continued to consider escape routes. He was having his arm twisted a little, though, by the swat team now behind him, having entered via the fire exit. Putting his hands up before they made him, he thus detonated the low-yield bomb on his back. This, in turn, destroyed (rather spectacularly) Grant Publishing, Agent Orange, all evidence of him, Natasha, and quite a bit more.

This is an HPBC special report with Bill O' Really:

"Although two tragidies have struck the project already: The explosion at Testing Lab 5235 and the unexplained destruction of the top secret lab Robotics Building of Research, researchers are proud to announce they have made the first successful part of the robot: the right arm(the firing arm). They hooked it up to a computer and gave it a temporary code to fire just once...and it did. They will not give any more info on the subject."

It was a day of loud celebrations at the research and testing centers around the country on hearing the first successful part of the prototype had been made. For about 7 hours they celebrated before returning to their homes to sleep.

NCTV News Bullletin:

"Today, at 1900 Lima time, there was a terrorist attack. This disgraceful act was aimed at the lead scientist developing a robot army for Holy Paradise. No word yet on how the assassin got in the country. Back to you, Jim."

"Thank you Lisa. There have been rumors, crazy rumors, that the great nation of New Charvis was somehow responsible for this. Charvis the Second, The Crazy Dictator of New Charvis, is now making an address. Tech weenies, can we have that feed please?"

"Thank you. As you can see, afraid for getting attacked by the same terrorist organisation, The Crazy One has increased his security detail, and is forgetting his speech and moving at a fast clip in a black limosine down the Boulevard of Broken Dreams."

'We have reason to believe that the destruction of the Robotics Building of Research was no accident, but rather a terrorist attack. Although all traces of who is behind the attack was destroyed, a part of an explosive was found. We are sure that this explosive was not a part of the testing program, but the weapon that destroyed the building. But we assure you that if we ever find out who is the one who was behind the attack that killed 56 scientists, we are going to kick....their...asses. Thank you'"

*NCTV Special Report once again breaks in, pushing aside soap opera programming*

"This is Bob, reporting to you from an undisclosed secure military location. I have with me Charvis the II. O Crazy One, What comments do you have on this development?"
"Well, Lisa..."
"Bob."
"Right. Lob. Well, all we know is that the attack conducted with a lucky rabbi-err, low yield nuclear bomb has nothing to do with me. The Holy Paradise President does have a potty mouth, I only wish he had been caught in Org--err the terrorist's blast."
"This has been Bob for NCTV News, Back to Days of Your General Hospital ER Room of Survival."

President Holtz watched the interview with Charvis the II from his international channels of his digital cable TV. "Man, he sounds suspicious. Still, as long as he doesn't say anything more about this, I'll let him slide. As long as the project succeeds, those scientists deaths will not be in vain." He turned off the TV.

At testing lab 9210, a momentous occasion would be reached.

(10 scientists watched as another scientist poured about 10 mL of HP-1029, another idea of a major ingredient, into part 1 of 100 pieces needed to make the robots' brains. The chemical enveloped the part, and they hooked it up to the computer to test if it worked)
Scientist 1: We are online. Here we go........Obedience Section one of 5 is...
(All of the scientists held their breath in hope)
Scientist 1: DONE! We did it everyone!
(Cheers resounded from the lab)

Charvis II shut off the television.That was disturbing. What happened to soaps on the telly?He turned to his guest, a dark figure in a smoke filled room (the smoke via Ye Olde Insane one's fat cigar).
"Have you seen the evening news?"
His guest, remaining hidden, nodded an affirmative.Charvis sighed. "I'm afraid you are right. We shall outsource to you. Just be sure it is a N1N7A.Now begone."
With that, and one last puff, he swept out of the room. He stopped by his assistant, saying, "Keep the army at full alert."
