The President, Nikola Teslakov was steaming after receiving the call about an impending attack. These guys will never stop trying to go after us. Why don't they just give up their grudge? He shook his head. Damn the CAD. I guess this will be the fight to end all fights between us. It's either us or them. Teslakov spoke to his phone.

"Karpov, start gathering intelligence. We'll need to play this one smart, as we're going to be way outnumbered."

"You've got it boss."

Damn you Doomingsland. We'll win against you, or die trying.

Premier's Residence, The Great Hall, Ohm, Voltarum

Sweet smells drifted through the air as dinner was rolled through the overly large, antique wooden doors. The metal cart, badly in need of some oil on its bearings, came to a halt in front of the two robed men as as assistant chef started to serve dinner. Herring ala Xerco, they called it in the city. Being Premier had its perks, after all. Xerco had learned that throughout his 35 years of leadership. Of course, it also had its downfalls. One of them was about to rear its ugly head.

Premier Xerco Longbottom stared across the table at his brooding dinner companion. Chancellor Avlos Selkirk, High Minister of Defense, had been in a sour mood since the High Order had adjourned for the day. The Herring didn't seem to improve it.

"You know, Avlos, we can't ignore this," Xerco said with a wry smile. "Even if it didn't involve a close ally like Japanese Antarctica, it still goes against our moral code of conduct for sovereign governments. We could justify our involvement just on that."

"With respect, Premier... Xerco... we are not the policemen of the world. For most of the last century we have been satisfied with the mutual defense of our region. Our Navy has grown to be one of the most formidable in the world. I see no reason to waste our resources on this endeavor."

Xerco sighed, but spoke in a soothing tone. "As I said in my closing remarks in front of the Order today, I partially agree with you. After all, the vote was 7-6, and we haven't had one that close in some time. That is why I have decided to limit our involvement in this. You will just have to learn how to compromise, my friend."

"I know, and I am full prepared to support you, as is Ja'rod."

"Good, because victory always starts in the head. It's a state of mind. It then spreads with such radiance and such affirmations that destiny can do nothing but obey. Confidence is key. The Voltaru will help our allies triumph in this endeavor, because in war there is no substitute for victory." He paused as his wandering tongue found a stray bone in his fish. "I've already sent out the communiqué to both FSM and JA. Now eat. Your herring is getting cold, and these are fresh from Pingweeners."

Finally acquiescing, Avlos chomped down on a piece of bread, crumbs tumbling down his red robe. Xerco stared down at his fish, wondering what would come of this.

Re: Developing Situation

Dear Sirs,

It is with reservation that I offer the assitance of my great nation. The High Order has authorized me to declare our intentions and the use of our great Navy & Air Force, subsequent to your needs. Unfortunately, however, the High Order does not see the need at the present time to commit any of our troops to an invasion of any sovereign nation. We will offer any military assistance in the defense of FSM's territory, or in a blockade or naval/aerial assault on said attacking countries. If such a time comes when any allied nation needs liberating, our Army and Marine Corp will be on standby.

Any task force will be headed by Chancellor of the Navy, Admiral Ja'rod Kathon. The 1st-4th Fleets are awaiting his command. Both of us await your call for assistance. Coding procedure included.

May the saddest day of your future be no worse
Than the happiest day of your past.

With Great Respect,
Premier Xerco Q. Longbottom
Premier of the High Order
High Minister of Foreign Affairs
Son of the Fourth Kingdom

Doom City, Doomingsland

It was a fairly normal day in the sprawling Roman-esque metropolis of Doom City, but a national holiday had been declared for the next few days. An excuse for everyone to stay home and play Halo 2 and GTA: San Andreas, and to keep the people happy. Copies of the games were also issued to people serving over seas. Other than that, a fairly normal day, gladiatorial combat raged in the colleseum, Imperial Guard paraded through the streets, enforcing the law. Blue painted M1A5 MBTs drove patroled streets (the Imperial Guard are basicly a fancy name for the Doom City Militia). Buisiness as usual.

Secret IC:
Doomingsland Imperial Intellgence HQ, Doom City

Deep below a fairly normal looking office building sat the headquarters of the super-secret Imperial Intellegence. Men sat in cubicals, deep within the subterrainian office complex, reviewing satelite photos of the Votarum naval exercises.

"So, what do you think?" asked Head Administrater, Gaius Decimus.

"Nothing special, fairly average capabilities by the looks of 'em. They don't look to be well protected from a massed cruise missile strike," replied the head analyst, Marius Julius.

Doomingslandian naval doctrine called for as little fleet engagement as possible, relying almost completely on long range anti-shipping aircraft, such as the Longsword bomber. Destroyers, frigates, cruisers, and carrier borne craft would pick off the stragglers. Of course, he also said nothing of the new doctrine being developed.

"Agreed. So, how about we run a simulation?"

"I'll get right on it."

He typed a few things on his PC, and the screen flickered to a map and grid. Symbols representing hostile vessels were shown in formation, the Voltarum vessels highlighted in red. Doomingslandian vessels sat back out of enemy cruise missile range, across the map.

Marius hit the 'ENTER' key, and eighty symbols representing LSLRM-AS-ER missiles apeared from one side of the map, and quickly caught up with the other fleet. The cheezy explosion sounds and effects went on, and only six enemy vessels remained. The Doomingslandian fleet closed in, and launched their missiles, quickly finishing off straglers. However, a random event the computer had generated occured: A lone enemy sub had penetrated the sonar net, and sunk one of the carriers, but was quickly cut down by fire from a seawolf.

Emperor Kellerman sat behind his desk, reading over some reports and drinking some black coffee. There came a voice over his intercom, "Mr. Sylvester to see you, sir." "Send him in," said the emperor as he took a sip from his mug. The door opened and in walked Christian Sylvester, head of AIA(Artican Intellegence Agency), with a large folder. "Here is the report, sir." "Christian, we have been friends since grade school, skid the sir, makes you sound like another one of my drones." Christian laughed, "I don't know why you keep them around. Anyways, it appears FSM and his friends are actually stupid enough to go throught with it, they're declaring war on the CAD." "Fools, is everybody else notified about it?" "Doomingsland and Ruthless Slaughter are already preparing." "We should to." he pressed a button on his intercom, "Have General Summers meet us here at 7:00pm." "Summers?" "He has experience with FSM, he fought in the Vladimir wars. Christian, come back at 7, well discuss things over dinner this evening."

V.B.S. Revolution, Flagship Voltarum 1st Fleet, Somewhere off North Sector Naval Base

The noise was starting to grate at Ja'rod's nerves. Printers, faxes, computer buzzing... he missed the days of the silent hum of a submarine.

"Sir!!" A young, attractive ensign came up to him. "Sir, I have the latest reports from Athani Intelligence."

"Understood, ensign. Thank you. Dismissed."

Ja'rod excused himself to his ready room. It was too early, he thought. The enemies of the Voltarum had already focused their attention on her powerful fleet, and Ja'rod didn't like it. He focused on the files on his desk... detailed reports of the nations that might be encountered in this coming war. Individually, they seemed mostly harmless, and no match for the power and experience of the Voltarum Fleet. Together, though, they could pose as a nuisance.

He reached over to the intercom. "Ensign!" He barked.

The blonde entered the room. "Ensign, I want the High Order on the COM a.s.a.p. I need to know if our strategy has changed or not."

"Yes Sir."

"Also... send this message to the following coordinates. Triple encode it and then seal it with my personal code."

"But Sir... those coordinates.."

Ja'rod stopped her short. "I know where they are Ensign. Now carry out your orders. And while you are at it, notify the 2nd Fleet to start Fleet Runs. I want all the aerial commanders to report in to me on the status of their ships. There is a reason this navy has never lost a major battle, as any Air Force commander would tell you."

The craft had clear Sovieten insignia's upon it. Spies travel undercover, and the craft identified itself clearly. The hind was not fleeing, merely flying in a convenient direction, as its fuel would run out if it hovered. You only warned us in a way the hind could understand when you demanded them to surrender. "I'll be the judge of that... I want Abbadons airborne patrolling the entire nation on high alert, activate the automatic warning beacon, activate all the defenses, and keep radar online, and activate the back-up radar until further notice. I want this airspace to be impenetrable."

Your men entered our airspace on a reconnaisance mission. We see that as a prelude to war.

Doom Valley Prison, Doomingsland

Deep below the surface of the Doom Valley, a secret prison lies. Only the most brutal and unliked criminals are kept there, in addition to prisoners of war. Within one of its many interrogation chambers, both pilots undergo questioning by one of the inquisitors.

"Now, we know you live in a communist country, and must be oppresed, so we'll make you a deal. We'll give you full amnesty and enough money to start anew in Doomingsland, in addition to that, we'll bring in any family you have, if you answer the questions we give well. First off: why were you flying a recon mission through our airspace? Was it a prelude to invasion? Which units did you look for?"

A commanche A-type lands near the massive structure and a Lt. with Desert Eagle sidearm disembarks. The Lt. runs up the stairs and after a few checks and passes enters the main chamber.
"Lord, Knight Warlord Ryoko has handed over command to you and awaits your further orders!" said the Lt. kneeling and presenting the charge of command sword encrusted with imperial designs and jewels. "Your flag insignia has already been raised in place of Ryoko's and the Beachmaster awaits your visit for inspection!"

The red phone rang. General Oleg Oberuchev knew who would be on the other side, and what the message was, even before walking across the room to pick it up. The excercises were to begin, and they were to begin now.

"General. Defense Minister has ordered me to call you to-"

"I will begin excercises now." The general cut off the secretary. "Has Admiral Gregorov been contacted as well?"

"He is being spoken to right now. In four hours, his ships should arrive."

"Right. Oberuchev, over and out."

The general put down the phone. He walked outside, to the podium in front of the men, who had just finished their post meal calesthenics.

"MEN! We are about to begin a drill, unlike any other drill that you have experienced before. This will be the biggest drill in history, with all branches of military cooperating." He paused, to let the men soak the information in. "What we will be doing is a mock invasion of Karaga Island. The navy will begin shore bombardment, and we will proceed with an amphibious assault. The engineers must clear mines and barbedwire. Armor will rid of machinegun implacements. Artillery will shell anti air defences. The Karaga base will then proceed with a bombing run. Any questions?"

None of the men budged.

"Oh, and I forgot to mention one thing. This will be a live fire drill."

"Right...I'll forward these to the High Command, they might find them interesting. Hell, it'll give us an insight as to their amphibious doctrine, which appears sound enough."

In the meanwhile Sergeants were checking their men and Forward Observers were getting ready to change posts. Sentrys sat in the guard shacks and were communicating with HQ regularly.

The Doomingland command flag was raised over Coastal Battery's HQ and the Ryoko's flag right beside it and slightly lower. Comm drones continued circling above. and the little 15 year old boys continued to clean and give out rations and ammunition. "Lord Ryoko, the prepartions for full battle status have been completed. We've had some problems with the local women, but....Everything is fine. The Military Police are keeping a good eye on things." read the Artillery Commandant. Mean men with rifles slong across in the same direction. The snipers were still and unwaivering against the rocks thrown at them from the training sergeants. Doom Citadel, Doomingsland

The emperor was in a troubled mood. The Soviets had mobilized for something, most likely an invasion, and was heading to South East Asia, near Doomingsland. He wasn't positive if it was an attack on Doomingsland, or merely a show of force. Either way, DEFCON III was established, and all militia units and reservists were mobilized. The emperor looked down from his balcony at his marching legions. Would they weather the coming storm? Of course they will, he told himself. There was still a bit of uncertainty.

All along the coast, the men manning the defences ran up and down the corridors of the tunnels honeycombing the cliffs. There were literaly hundreds of thousands of men manning the defencive positions, weather they be a radio operator, or the gunner on a turret.

Meanwhile, civilians, having heard of the elevated alert status, patroled the streets with a large variety of weapons, ranging from PKMs to FALs.

At the HQ of Doomingsland's militia (essentialy the police force, we use military units for policing, so this is drawn from law and order budget, men aren't as well trained, and have crappier equiptment, and not much air support, but they make up for it in numbers and cool stuff), a new upgrade to the ageing King Abrams series was being revealed to top ranking commanders,

"As you can see, gentlemen, we've kept the same primary weapon, as it is capable of penetrating most modern armor. However, we've replaced both the engine and armor with those found on the Imperator. The armor is much tougher and lighter, and the engine is both fuel effecient and eco-friendly," said the engineer behind the upgrade, now called the M1A6. The engine and armor of the tank were now replaced, an easy task to do, and it was now a much tougher tank, providing another twenty or so years of good combat effectivness.

All militia units were upgrading their tanks to suit this, and tanks sitting in wharehouses were also being upgraded.

The BFG rotated out of their holding bays and their massive guns swept over the area. Planes flew into the skies on increased patrols. The patriots clerverly hidden waited for enemy missles. Troops ran through the tunnels to their bunkers and pillboxes. Subs waited anxiously for the opposing fleets. 50 cals swung into position and their massive pivot bokes were attached. Readiness Flags were raised. The commander finally gave the go signal and the big guns switched on to operational.

Emperor Kellerman sat in the war room of the Imperial Palace. He was watching the radar screen as the FSM military moved out in the direction of CAD. A 5 star general walked up behind the emperor and handed him a folder, "The access codes, sir." "Thank you, General." The emperor then walked over to the large round table in the middle of the floor and picked up a phone. "Code 3482300, authorization to mobalize." "Yes, sir."
2 hours later the Artican military was fully operational.

All 2 of Shenyang's landible beaches looked like an insane child's playground. Mines, tank traps, spike pits, claymores, concealed machine gun nests, artillery, missles, snipers, helicopters behind the bordering mountains (7 days walk to other side, there are tunnels, but they will be locked down so tight that a bomb hit won't open them.) and fighter patrols were only the beginning of the defenses and hazards that any landing force would ecounter, if anyone tried to cross that beach they would find themselves facing hell on Earth.

We stand by you in your time of need and wish to begin transferring most of our army to the Continent of CAD proper. We have begun to load, what is probably the largest amount of troops we have ever transported at one time, around 4 to 5 million, in preparation for their move. They will be accompanied by a fleet that the world has not seen the likes of in many years. Poseidon Jet-Seaplane bombers are already en-route. Once the fleet arrives it will establish a defensive cordon around CAD that any navy will be hard pressed to breach. We need to know where to land this force in CAD. We will beat off these attackers and follow them back to their homeland where we will burn their cities and salt their fields.

With the first batch of troops numbering close 1.5 now fully loaded status reports were sent out to all the Naval bases and Harbors participating in the massive operation. Thousands of civillian vessels, cargo ships and various commercial vessels had been commandered and pressed into service as troop carriers, cargo vessels, and armored unit carriers.

Over 2,000 ships were to make up the largest convoy ever put together in the illustrious history of the Wirrawayan Naval command. On cue 6 of Wirraway's 8 operational battlegroups left their respective harbors for the open ocean, close behind them over 1,500 various logistics and transport ships stretched out in a line ranging over 100 miles.

Destroyers were placed at 10 mile intervals along the length of the convoy and SNNs and 15 mile intervals. The 6 Carrier groups arrayed themselves around the convoy, one in front, two on each side, and one in the back. They immedialy launched their fighters and radar aircraft creating a screen over 200 miles out in every direction that any force would be hard pressed to break through. The massive AEGIS radars wer on permamnently. It was no use trying to hide a force this large so advance warning was substituted for stealth.

ASW frigates and Seawolfs created a moving ASW screen stretching 80 miles out from the force.

The huge Armada moved fairly slowly due to the large number of non-naval assets taking part in the operation. But slow as they might be each day took them closer to the shores of Doomingsland and the Continent of CAD.

Deep within the underground fortress, engineers were upgrading M10A1 Imperators to M10A2s, the latest model. The new version was actualy field testing various systems to be used on yet another MBT on the drawing boards. Three thousand five hundred M10A1s were being converted to the A2 model for rapid field testing against invading forces.

24 Hours Later…

550 C17 air transports can be seen dropping supplies and 50,000 Hoplites parachuting out of them. This was one of the biggest air drops in the nation's history. The army landed near the two Doomingsland military bases near the only beach in Doomingsland.

Sending transmission…

This is General Alexander of the Greek forces that we have just landed in Doomingsland. We are between the two military bases closest to the beach. I would like to know which military base we have to go so we can plan out the rest of the defenses.

Admiral Stormcaller waited at the helm of his ship, a massive Firestorm class carrier.
Stormcaller: Any word on the approaching fleet?
Radar op: Uh sir? They seem tobe suspended in international waters.
Stormcaller: You mean they're refueling or something?
op: No, they seem to be frozen in time. It's like someone put them on pause or something...

The Hoplites where able to construct an easily defendable base of operations with the supplies provided by the Doomingsland Government, the base was located 50 miles in land from the position they where in-between the two closest Doomingsland military bases to the beach.

They went on with the plan they talked over with the Doomingsland Generals. They will keep 24/7 patrols and the 4th and 5th Naval fleets will be guarding the coastlines.

OOC: Bit busy right now, just making a quick post which is a prelude to entry.

IC:

The Defense Ministry was filled with activity. The latest intelligence report confirmed it: Nikolaos the Great was no longer an ally. Ryusaki was in the middle of all the action.

"Saito-san, what is the report from D.M. Taguchi?"

The telegraph operater looked at his shoes. "No military action will be taken. However, we have been talking with with Minister Yoshinobu."

"Elaborate."

"I'm sorry, I don't have the details, you'll have to speak with C.M. Yoshinobu yourself."

"I Understand. You may take the day off."

"Arigatou!"

Ryusaki walked out of the Defense ministry and started for the Commerce ministry. But he didn't have to go far. He saw the Minister of Commerce on one of the streets in Ministry Park.

"Yoshinobu-san!"

The minister bowed. "Ohayo gozaimasu, emperor."

"Minister, I have been informed of a plan you have formulated concerning oil..."

"Yes sir. As you know, GlacierOil owns a great number of ports in Osaka International Seaport. It is a major trading hub in the pacific region; ships from every country stop there, the world's largest oil companies have set up shop there and it is the location of several refineries.
What I plan to do is prevent any ship heading to the enemy continent from docking at our ports. This will increase the time of shipping for oil to the CAD, slowing down logistical efforts. It may not affect the situation a whole lot, but it will put some pressure on the enemy."

"Very well. You may proceed with the sanctions."

After this, Minister Taguchi met the two.

"Emperor, I have great news from Former Soviet Mafia! Let's move to somewhere more private, so we can discuss the plans for our action..."

OOC: We're back! My brother needs to do his physics homework so it will just be a quick OOC post.

24 hours is a bit quick for a trip from Greece to Australia on ship... Man, I'd hate to call god modding on a former ally, but if this isn't fixed then I have no choice. It wouldn't be fair, you know, because we didn't have a chance to RP attacking the fleet. And can you list details of what ships are in each fleet?

Knight Phalanxia, I don't believe you gave us a map.

And I will be making a new thread, so stay tuned.

OOC: Well if no one wants to attack the convoy another 1.5 million men and 6 fleets are heading to CAD completely unscathed. This is just a last chance update post.

The huge convoy struggled to maintain formation as it fought through heavy swells and 50 mph winds ripping across the open ocean. The convoy was almost 2/3 of the way to CAD and making farily slow progress due to slower civilian boats transporting the massive force.

The defenders remained ever vigilent, continuing to luanch aircraft, even in these treacherous conditions. Their had already been some close calls, but aircover was to vital to the convoy to ground so the flights went on. The subs screens and radar pickets contuined to hold the perimeter against any eneymy foolish enough to attack.
