OOC: This is basically the world in the times of Rome. You can be either a real Empire or make your own. Just remember, no planes, tanks or modern weaponry, but swords, spears and horses.

IC: Caesar Teo I stood outside his glorious palace, watching his armies march towards the barracks. He has a golden headband, shaped like a leaf. He is wearing a purple tunic. His empire, Detania is working well. Greeks are selling for the empire's various goods well, and his armies have expanded to the edge of Atlantic. He ruled the land of Spain as a dictator

Sure, why not.

From his high tower, King Turgon viewed his city of Gondolin. Throughout most of the city, men were training in the martial arts. Located in modern-day Switzerland, Gondolin was famed for its requisite military service. Turgon himself was the most renowned swordsman in the world, and ruled his country with a strict, but fair hand.

The Caesar walked inside, followed by a guard shoertly after. The barbarians were advancing over the mountains He couldn't believe the barbarians were so tought. After defeating the german tribes twise, they still kept coming. Teo's tactic's had defeated even the Romans many times. He wasn't that good in fighting himself thought, so he had gotten his loyal guards trained in many places. He sighed as he and the guard walked the empty corridor

The plan was simple for Lord Errel - Let the barbarians whittle down Teo and then strike him at his weakest point. And it was going quite well, too, as his scouts reported that the barbarians had advanced over the mountains already

Lord Errel was the current leader of the Aristocratic nation of Tallenbere, occupying about a fourth area of land that would later be known as France. Leaders, once appointed, served indefinitely until either they were recalled by the Council of Tallenbere, or died. The Council selected the leaders from amongst their ranks, which consist overwhelmingly of Nobles. Errel himself was a master tactition, as his enemies often found out. Tallenbere itself was a cultured nation, although most men were part of the army, with staggered annual training sessions for a segment of the enlisted population as to leave men to lead their normal lives in sections.

Women do not serve in Tallenbere's Military often.

A scout walked into the palace, holding his light helmet with a small pike on the head in his hand, his black cape flowing from the short gust of windthat was let in when the doors opened. The man walked to Teo and rose his empty hand. "Caesar, the barbarians have attacked the village of Le'Tyron. The villagers are fleeing, most of them dead. The village is burned to the ground" the scout said and Teo turned to him. "Hah! Get a message to Eriv and Aelin. They shall handle this or my panthers shall have a nice warm meal" he said and turned, walking away. The scout lowered his hand, turned and left to his horse.

Two huge, well arranged armies marched along the grass, soon finding a lonely villager, bleeding to death from various wounds. The armies marched to meet the barbarians

OOC:I know I have the wrong leader for this part of the Roman Empire but he's the coolest so too bad.

The city of Rome was alive and prospering. Traders in the streets tried to win the fancy of passerbys. The market was full and the local preatorian guard was having trouble keeping the peace. Gaius Julius Caesar sat in his palace, reading over some reports. The Roman Empire was not very big yet but would soon be. The three punic wars left the romans with Carthage and it's surrounding territories, and Egypt was well in dept to the romans and was easily conquered. The spanish however, after being in Roman command revolted, causing the legions to retreat. The new leader of Spain, Caesar Teo I, had erected a new empire. Caesar thought it was time to retake Spain. After his 3 month campaign in Gaul, he had expanded the boarders of Rome yet again and prepared to leave for Spain. He had to convice the senate tho. After 6 hours of bickering, they agreed to go to war. 6 full legions were assembled to the Caesar, making a total of 36 000 legionaires. Scouts had reported that barbarians had been pouring into Spain weakening their garrisons and taking up the time of their legions. With any luck, Spain would fall fast and easily.

But the Spanish ground were not easy to get. Teo had built thousands of smaller camps in taller hills, more larger, and better equipped legions and garrisons into the cities, especially the ones on shore. Legions were moving inside the borders constantly for various reasons, and the capitol was in the middle of Spain. The Empire was stronger that it would seem from an outsider, but Teo knew well the troubles of the Romans with their too large areas.

In the emantime, the two large legions back at the Barbarians were piling the bodies of the barbarians into a large hill. They lit afire, and burned the bodies, leaving to the nearest encampment, suffering the huge loss of even ten legioneers. Teo knew bvery well, that the Romans would have to come from either water, which was easily defended from the Roman navy, or the mountains, which would make the Romans lose even legions of soldiers.

Teo had ordered a navy ready for a massive attack that would tare the Romans into two. Ten full legions boarded large ships, disguised as trade ships to get past Roman warships The legions were stuffed into oars to get the ships to Egypt

As Caesar and his legions marched over land to spain, another large force was being assembled under Marc Anthony. He was to lead 5 full legions over sea to spain to meet up with Caesars army. The Medditereanian sea was mainly controlled by roman galleys since the Punic wars, which also gave Rome Greece. An odd number of trade ships from Spain were seen sailing towards egypt. As were ordered, Roman galleys on patrol stopped the ships and demanded to search the ships.

As romans boarded the ships, legioneers in full armor got ready inside the hull. The hulls hatches opened and legioneers rolled to the ship decks, slaughtering Romans. From the small hatches where the oars were a moment ago, started flying burning arrows to the Roman ships. The Romasn were being slaughtered in their own sea.

Four Legions marched to meet the Romans, informed by scouts. The legions were in strict order, marching their shield on the side and swords sheathed. Two scouts were sent forwards to see where the Romans were. Two more legions were coming to join the four ones with the distance of merely two kilometers
