Bloody Civil War

Dostanuot Loj

(OOC: I'm new, and wanted to start things off a bit odd. For now, this is a local matter, however I plan to build it up soon, and as I do, I would like the international community to get involved, perhaps say, some countried had ships in Kytsa harbour? Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Map of Dostanuot Loj avalible at http://img108.exs.cx/img108/4584/Dostanuoy_Loj_Map.jpg)

A peacful morning one day in the industrial city of Kytsa, on the north eastern coast of The Armed Republic of Dostanuot Loj. Workers were already hard at work with the busy life of the shipping industry, Kytsa being the largest non-millitary port of Dostanuot Loj. People worked, children attended school, and the police walked the streets in a freindly and comforting manner, asships from all over the region, and possibly more, were entering and exiting the deep harbour.
While the stage was being set up for a concert, commerating the national holiday of peace, in the Common Grounds of the city, a streak of smoke, almost invisible at such a height, spread accross the ski high above Kytsa.
"Grampa, what's that?" Said a young girl, looking to the sky and pointing at the object, now seemingly on fire as a long smoke trail flowed behind.
The young girls grandfather looked up, then turned to the girl to reply "Why, I don". In an instant the city was vaporised, the bright flash being visible for hundreds of kilometers. The powerful shockwave of the 1 megaton nuclear weapon tore through the neighboring woodlands in a few minutes, destroying thousands of homes, and murdering the 350,000 strong population of Kytsa in the blink of an eye.

----------------------
Hours later, in an unknown location on the southeastern coast of Dostanuot Loj. An announcment on public television is read aloud by the spokseperson for a small cell of Religious seperatists from the Dostanuot Loj nation.

"..and with the use of the nuclear bomb, we hope to convince this government how serious we are. We demand the freedom of the seperate state of Tyne, and that the government of Dostanuot Loj recognise us as a self ruled, and soviergn country. We demand the rights given held by our forefathers, the rights to own slaves, and the rights to a church ruled state. If these demands are not met, we will continue our strikes, and not relent until we are victorious."

The response of Admiral U.Namtar II, Dostanuot Loj's illustrious ruler followed a day later, as the small Tyne army began a lightning strike in from the coast of which it was based, to the countries inner plains.
"We will not concede to a small group of terrorists who whine because they can't do everything they want. Well, too bad, I happen to believe in equality of people, and you, the terrorists, are now number one on mt hit list."
Durring the breif press confrence that followed, the Admiral had this to say; "I am deeply sorry for those who were murdered in the nuclear attack on the great city of Kytsa. My condolances go out to surviving members of those families. As well, I wish to officially announce a national service will be held for the dead in eight days. All are welecome, citizens and forigen nationals who had relatives murdered alike. We will not stand for this attack, you can be assured, the National Armed Forces will eleminate this threat imediatly.

[Kytsa Harbor]
The Macabees had always had a policy of opening trade relations with sprouting new nations, which were coming every day, and Dostanuot Loj wasn't an exception. In fact, trade with Dostanuot Loj was imperative since the Macabees didn't get along very well with the larger nations, and the prosperity of the empire relied on good relations with the smaller people. Consequently, in order to forge these trade relations with Dostanuot Loj the merchant ship Alhambra was sent to complete the first Dostanuot Loj-Macabee trade navigation.

The sailors of the Alhambra were by now inside the city of Kytsa, inside the local clubs, looking at the local girls. They had been in Kytsa for two days now, as the captain of the ship continued negotiations with the local barders. They were having so much fun, and they were ready to go back home and be with their families and wives.

However, this picture of party and love was soon swept away by an event which would leave a black spot in Dostanuot Loj's history for ever. Kytsa was swept away by a bright light which killed anything it touched....

[Targul Frumos, Macabee Imperial Provence of Freemantia]
The recent deployments to Freemantia were no longer in vain. After the nuclear blast in Kytsa, and the warning by this new group of terrorist, now know as "the Tyne" to Macabee officials, the Macabee military was put on high alert. They couldn't afford having a brand new trade partner be destroyed in a bloody civil war. At least, not without some fun first. The government had been extremely fast in its consequent deployments. The ten Toledo class Nuclear Attack Submarines, which were in the now dissipated Wolfish blockade, rerouted to the coast of Tyne - they would have to rearm halfway.

From Targul Frumos a new task force was preparing to leave, composed of the ships of the larger naval group which was originally meant for something else. This small task force, soon leaving for Dostanuot Loj, was built of two Model class Carriers, ten Manstein class destroyers, six Clauswitz class Frigates, six Seydlitz class Cruisers, fifteen Patrol Boats, six arsenal ships, and some twenty assorted other ships. The two carriers had on board one hundred MMA-A2 Hawk Air Superiority Fighters and one hundred MMA-A1 Kondor Low Altitude fighters. Also heading to Dostanuot Loj with the fleet was the 1st Infantry Corp, and the 1st Armored Corp - although it was doubted that all of these soldiers would be used in the operations to come. Most of them would probably be used to buffer the Dostanuot Loj defenses against the Tyne, while the rest fought inside the provence of Tyne to slowly destroy these terrorists.

The task force would arrive off Dostanuot Loj's coastline, approximately fifty kilometers south of the coastline of Tyne, within two (RP) days.

"I am deeply greatful for the assistance of your great nation. I, however wish to ask you to refrain from the use of nuclear weapons on Dostanuot Loj soil. The cleanup of Kytsa will be very costly for my nation, and we would like to refrain from destroying it as much as possible. I again, deeply thank you for your assistance in this matter, and express my deepest condolances to the families of your citizens lost in the attack.

The front lines with the Tyne forces.

Only 400 kilometers south of Military Reserve #1 the Dostanuot National Army was dug in. Having been brought into action in a hurry, the trenche dug streched accross the country, cutting off the eastern half. Now the twenty five thousand men of the First National Marines, and four hundred Leopard 2A4C's belonging to the Yznir Armoured Corps were awaiting the attack.
The Marines sat in hastily dug trenches, bayonettes fixed, and hyped up on caffeen. "Not a good day." expressed a Private, sitting in the trench and eating his rations.
"You can tell me that again.." Replied his buddie, standing watch with his Lee Enfield Sniper Rifle eyeing the clearcut feild before him. nearly one kilometer had been removed only hour earlier, and the downed trees still littered the landscape.
The young pribate stood up on the firing step, looking over what was to be the battle feild, or so he was told by the officers. Dark circles under his eyes.
"This is my third shift, I need some sleep man."
"I know, but intel says the enemy will be on us any time now, we can't let them catch us sleeping." Replied the sniper, also on his third shift of they day.
"I guess you're right.. you know, my wife' was from Kytsa.."

High over the city of Tyne.

Three AL-120 Pheonix Rapid Insertion airlifters were flying high over the city of Tyne, excorted by a pair of YF-100 Gliave interceptors. The group had been on practise manuvers over Millitary Reservation #3 at the time of the attack. They were supposed to drop into the hills to conduct a wargame with the ground forces stationed there. All they were supposed to do was gone now. Orders had come in. "Take Tyne at ALL costs!" The simple message had read from the top command, the Admiral himself. And now the three AL-120's were too low on fuel to turn back. Laden with thirty two battle hardened vetrans of the National Gaurd, the super secret special forces codenamed Rogue's, and acompanied by a pair of A7VII Special MBT's.
"Picking up incomming aircraft, unidentified and suspicious." Came over the comm, from Glaive 1 it was supposed.
"Roger that, have fun." Came the response, the commander of the unit always had a dark sense of humor.
Suddenly the door to the cockpit in the lead transport opened, the Sergent comming out. "Listen up apes, we're going in hot. Expect heavy restiance. And keep it tight." With that the Sergent took his place, and strapped himself into the crash seat.
The two YF-100 Glaive's pealed away from the three transports, flying off to meet this unknown airfraft as the transports dipped their noses.
The chatter of anti-aircraft gunfire could be heard just moments before the three aircraft belly landed outside the occupied city of Tyne.

As quickly as it had begun, the Troops were dispatched

They moved quickly, the CH-47s (4) erupting into the air with the F-16s.

They weren't going to do a HALO jump, it was too risky with the GPS gear and such. They were gonig to touch down on the NW side of Tyne. They didn't want to touch down, on the direct West side, due to the Sattelite's shared with the UN showed off several large bases. It was too risky. So they attempted to find a airfield. Upon finding one, they ordered touch down and cleared out the area from Opposition by Firing missiles. Two Apache Helicopters from Jurrik having caught up and lending fire down to the ground. Napalm dumps and such.

Finally, the CH-47s touched down, but the F-16s and Apache Helicopters circled. Touching down one at a time. The men huddling off, 5 thousand men. Some of them were Telecommuncations, while some where just Special Forces. They weren't happy. Adjusting their Fatigues, they were already suited up. Securing the area and shooting anyone on the Governmental side of Doj. forces. They weren't up for games.

Quickly unloading the Hummers and miniature office space, it was hell out here.

They could hear the Gunfire, though President Krik Guztik gave the order to assist and desist any actions out here. They had specific rules of Engagement. To fire, when ordered. For now, they quickly moved their gear about. Protecting the CH-47s and the other Helicopters and such. Radioing into the Ordering FOrces out here, to report for Duty.

The three AL-120's crashed into a small suburb to the east of Tyne. The troops in the lead transport quickly dispatched, securing the area around the landing site. The second aircraft however hadn't been as lucky as the first. As the remaining 4 men of the unit occupying the second transport awakened, as well as 6 of the 9 A7VII crew members, they realised at once they hadn't hit soft. As the doors opened, and the two tanks moved from their respective transports they surveyed the damage, the second transport was brought to an abrupt hault by a small school.
With no time to loose, the troops moved out, the tanks taking point with the foot soldiers very close behind.
They quickly moved into the forest to avoid attention.
After a short while a scouting party was sent forward, the best sniper in the unit Cpl. Zjar, and his sporrt moved ahead into the city, moving into some of the now abandoned buisness builings. All around they could see where Civillians were massacred by the Tyne forces. The remnants of the cities garrison were strung up like butchers meat from the phone lines. It was a gruesome site indeed, but they paid little mind to it as they searched for their target.

--------------------------------
Dostanuot Loj Defensive line.

The shell exploded 8 meters down the trench, destroying everything there. They were lucky, they were saved only by the bends built into the lines. Private Doni, standing on the firing step crouched over, poped up into view of the enemy for only a mere second, as did his buddy, Private Uiq. Both of them fired a quick burst to the Tyne forces entrenching themselves not fifty meters away. When Private Doni ducked down, bullets peppering where he had once stood, he looked over to his buddie, who had been hit and was now lying dead on the bottem of the trench. Private Doni began to panick, he was one of the last few left on the very front lines, the rest had pulled backl. Before he could think anymore of it he jumped off the firing step and ran down the trench, running through the destroyed communication trenches to the second line, where everyone else had moved to.

The men, put on their CommUnits. Along with their Infared Scopes and Eye Goggles. Moving out quickly, they secured the Landing pad and threw out one Color Marker. The last two CH-47s (Chinooks) flowing in and field dropping 4 Hummers and HALO droppnig the last 15,000 soldiers. Some of them were literally shot in mid-air by Mortar Shells that were already airbound.

Though, when everybody touched down, they got into the Hummers. Some of the men taking Ground, though they needed to find a Camp. They picked a local building which was still secured.

Upon moving out, they took ahold of it. Setting out their Snipers and picking the Basement where the piping still ran to do their Strategy. Setting up their Building and even hiding the Hummers as to not give away their location, they setup a Chain of Command.

"This is Jurrik Unit 668, The State, Calling out Tyne. Calling out Tyne. Tyne, meet at Encrypted location 6, on map 4."

That was it. The men adjusted their gear and checked out the rest of the building. Running up the stairs and shooting some Civvies that wore a Kysta Badge or something identifying them. The rest were stripped for their Civvie Clothing and placed in a Elevator and locked there. But were gagged and hog-tied. It was a Interesting day so far.

OOC: My nuclear attack submarines (SSNs) are nuclear propelled...not armed with nuclear weapons. Sorry for any confusion. Also, just so I can get into this RP faster I'll speed my convoy up... just pretend it already got there :-P

Also, relative to your map..where exactly is the front line...and what exactly do the Tyne rebels own? Perhaps you can mark it off on paint or whatever you use.

[Front Lines in Dostanuot Loj]
The two carriers in the small task force were already ready by the time they anchored off the coast of Tyne. Minutes later the aircraft, fully armed, screamed into the air. For this first strike, just to strike fear into the heart of the Tyne, only some twenty MMA-A1 Kondo Low Altitude Fighters would be used. Each Kondor was fully loaded with four MTAAM-2 Predator air to air missiles, as well as ten MLAM-2 air to surface missiles. Additionally, an airscreen would be provided by twenty MMA-A2 Hawk Air Superiority Fighters.

The primary mission was to soften the Tyne offensive into Dostanuot Loj, and that way take the load off the Dostanuot Loj soldiers which were in the midst of hell right now. The Hawks kept a high altitude, and had cruised to their destination at Mach 2.8. The Kondors kept a relatively low altitude, and cruised at Mach 2.1. The Kondors were a much older fighter and were now reserved for ground attack operations, replacing the tank busting MMA-B1 Eagles which were still used, but couldn't be used until a ground base was established. A ground base couldn't be established until the Tyne military was weakened, and that would take several airstrikes to do.

And thus the carnage began. The twenty Kondors swooped at thirty meters altitude over the geography of the land, and soon came upon the front lines. Their cameras could pick up the chatter of assault rifles going off as the Tyne blitzed north into the well dug lines of the Dostanuot Loj infantry. The way this "race" fought was very primordial, relying on trenches of defense. It made the pilots think of the second world war, when so many of their ancestors had died. This scene would become even worse with the Macabee airstrike. One of the Kondors launched a single MLAM-2 from twenty kilometers away at a anti-air battery picked up on the camera of the aircraft, originally used to look for fighters in the air. The MLAM-2 used a scramjet propellant for about fifteen kilometers of the way, staying in the middle atmosphere. Then it began to descend, and the scramjet failed to work due to the thick atmosphere; however, the sheer kenetic energy stored up was enough to push the missile to its target. The MLAM-2 missile had a 200kg OctaNitroCubane warhead. ONC was the strongest synthesized explosive known to man, although it was rather expensive (OOC: all real life nations, and most NS nations, use Octagen though).

Other anti-air batteries in the rear of the Tyne lines received single MLAM-2s. Rear communication zones and Tyne artillery batteries also received their share of MLAM-2s. Once the MLAM-2s were used up on anti-air batteries, communication zones and artillery batteries the Kondors moved up to wreck havoc on the Tyne frontlines. Using its 30mm Avenger guns the Kondors mowed the Tyne lines with 30mm steel rounds. Puffs of smoke rose where the rounds had hit, and lines of trails spread up and down the front lines as the Kondors did their bloody work. After some thirty minutes of this the Kondors and the Hawks headed back to the carriers where they would be re-stocked and re-fueled. Bigger operations were ahead once the Macabee Military figured out was the situation in Dostanuot Loj.

[Naval Attack on city of Tyne]
With the recent fall of Tyne to the Tyne army the Macabee High Command ordered a naval missile strike on the nerve center of the Tyne rebels. Therefore a single Macabee sattelite passed over Tyne and took highly detailed photographs of the city, and the central governmental buildings, which were most likely in use by the head of the Tyne rebels.

The destroyer HES Almudena was the first to fire her missiles. The government center of the city was targeted by extremely accurate MAAM Ausf. B cruise missiles; a total of eight. The MAAM Ausf. B had a 800kg OctaNitroCubane warhead, with a total velocity of Mach 4.5. It had a range of about five hundred kilometers. The MAAMs were launched in quick successions against the eight different targets. From the destroyer streaks of red, blue and an occassional orange left a trail behind the missile as it shriked to its inglorious end in Tyne.

King Marcus Anthonius III watched carefully the report given to him by his international trade officer. "A nuclear missile?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "We had five of our TE-762's unloading there, right?"
"One got away, one left the harbor but got sunken by the shockwave and the rest sunk into the harbor" the officer said. The door slammed open and a well built officer marched in. "My lord, we have receaved a message that a civil war is raging in Dostanuot Loj, and the missile was sent by the rebels"
"My god..." the King replied. "Send fifteen A-76 bombers to give the rebels some payback. Inform the local military of our assistance, and send the 5th capitolium core" the King hit his fist onto the table, standing up and the officers marched away.

Only shortly after that, the first bombers ´left off, cargo full of bombs, as the 5th capitolium core was loading up transport helicopters and a telegram was being sent to Dostanuot Loj about this

Cpl. Zjar had found the high ground, he and his spotter, LnCpl. Sud had an excellant vangate point and set up shop. They kept low, seting up the AM-4 15mm rifle that Cpl. Zjar carried, and LnCpl. Sud taking hout his binoculars. And there they waited, watching what unfolded. The two of them watched as the last remaining garrison of the city fighting for their lives just a kilometer away. The last 5 men of the 12th Mortar Company were being slaughtered by Tyne rebels. Helpless to do anything, Cpl. Zjar simply reported it to his commander over a secured line. Waiting for orders.

Tyne Rebels.

Vlodomyr Turned abruptly to face the last remainig government soldier. He finished the pig off with his bayonette, tearing it through his throat.
Vlodomyr hated the government, he hated everything they stood for, and he hated how they oppressed him.
"Vlod, there's a transmissiopn on the comm. We're to head to the north west, we've got allies." Said his radioman, looking over the bodies and spitting shortly afterwards.
"Excellent, bring the car over, we're off to meet our new freinds."

(OCC: Tynes spread thin through the country, so the defensive line is far back. It's on this map. Major concentrations are about 110,000 on the front, and a reserve 300,000 in Tyne and outlying areas.http://img127.exs.cx/img127/4584/Dostanuoy_Loj_Map.jpg)

Quickly, the men organized and evacutated the building. Shooting the rest of the Civvies and cutting the Elevator lines, dropping them like paperweights that made a purty splatter sound. They quickly dived into the Hummers and Naga Firing systems. Along with packing up their Ammo. They quickly hit the road and radioed into the Tyne Rebels over a Secured CB band. "Tyne. Tyne. This is The State, meet in Transit on Location 88 on Map 6. We'll meet you there."

They quickly moved, entering a Forested Area, though exiting it quickly, thinking they might get ambushed. They hanged out around the city Limits that were closer away from Kysta. Though, Civvies attempted to be running through the streets attempting to get to Kysta. Obviously this war/judical power wasn't appericated by everyone. So they exited the Naga Firing systems, and organized it more appericatively. Radioing into the units around them. "One Naga, goto zone 4. 1 click away. Fire at 2nd line. I repeat, fire at 2nd Defensive Line in Kysta." Then the Naga zoomed off. to battle for it's Nation.

He smiled lightly, chuckling here and there and awaiting for their Comrade in arms to show up. They had Camoflauge over all of the Units, though it might not last. They might not be able to paint them from the sky, but sure as hell, they could blind fire. Blind firing was very dangerous, but it did work half the time. They had to be watching out for Planes.

The car, stolen by the rebels, screeched into the area they were supposed to meet their new allies. Quickly the rebels piled out of their car and took up defensive postsion, shouting out for anyone "Tyne here, We're waiting".
As silently as could be, several men from the Jurrik insurection forces showed up and escorted the Tyne rebels to a safer spot.

--------------------------------------------
The Front Lines.

The troops in the trenches cheered seeing freindly planes straff the enemy lines, and destroying anti-air equipment. Fresh reenforcements were ariving quickly from the high speed trains that ran between the Military Reserve lands, finnally the men on the lines could sleep. 300,000 soldiers were now occupying the trenches, the rear line artillery dug in and firing away at Tyne defenses.
Themen got word of an attack however, and were ordered to prepare. Finnally the full force of the Nation would be used.
As a Lieutenant looked around, he saw the soldiers under his command, and hoped this would be over soon. "What happened should have never" He said to himself. "It isn't right to nuke family.."

The Tyne lines however, were a little better equiped then previously though, after the initial air attack had gone through, the majority of the Tyne troops came out of dugouts, many Shoulder Launched missiles were brought into action as the Tyne troops watched the sky for a second attack.

-------------------------------------
Tyne City.

Sergent Hyporn walked along with the tanks, watching the dark bushes for anything that could jump out. The scouts had radioed ahead with information of lots of Tyne troops, this wouldn't be easy.
The unit stopped to check a suspicious looking road for mines or booby traps, and as the tank stopped moving they heard it. Faint sounds of shots.
Cpl. Zjar had decided he needed to start removing people. Not being very accurate at one kiklometer with his 15mm rifle didn't matter, he was only interested in hitting something Tyne.
"Targets at forty-two" declared LnCpl. Sud, staring through his binoculars in the direction. Cpl. Zjar turned his attention that way and noticed a few Tyne rebels around a car, thinking they were somewhat safe. He decided then and there to end that though and began firing.

At last, the Achleonian bombers arrived. The planes had gotten the current estimated coordinates of the rebel frontline. The bomb hatches opened slowly, as the pilots saw gunshot flashes in the distance. With a high humming sound, the planes were seen coming from the clouds and decending fast. Five were destroyed before they could drop the bombs, two were destroyed with ony a few bombs dropped, and the rest were left allmost unscratched, wxcept two that were destroyed after the bombing raid. Bombs shook the ground all over the rebel frontline, destroying many things randomly. The planes headed for two special modified and built air carriers heading towards the shores of Dostanuot Loj.

Over thirty a bit smaller sized transport helicopters flew as fast as they could towards the frontlines, slowly decending to come behind the Dostanuot Loj military to meet the Rebellion. The 30,000 soldiers armed in various ways and the various artillery and panzer drivers and crew were very nervous. Ten larger carryalls were flying in the middle of the transport group, and were holding many various equipment. Artillery and panzer tanks for example.

Back in Bubnor, the first minister did not take this news well.

His attempt to meddle in international affairs was not proceeding to his satisfaction.

He picked up a phone. "General? where are our carrier groups, and how many of them and how many aircraft can we use to tip the situation towards Tyne?"

[Logistics Report, Unified Bubnor Armed Forces. Dostanuot Loj region]

Two Carriers
One submarine
Four Destroyers

Sixty-Four Fighters (24 F-16, 40 F/A-18)
Twelve Bombers (B-1B)

[end report]

The first minister grinned. It was time to show the world what the bitter wars that had swept the Bubnorian homeland had taught them.

The arrival of the cruise missiles to the front lines was heralded by an unearthly droning sound as the turbofan engines propelled the missiles toward the battle. All of a sudden, there was a moment of absolute silence.....

Then the explosions began.

From the Tyne command position, Bubnorian General Matthias O'Halloran watched as large amounts of the attacking force disappeared behind red gouts of flame and clouds of thick black smoke.

And, he thought smugly to himself, the aircraft hadn't even arrived yet...

[Battle for the Waters Around Dostanuot Loj] ATTN: Bubnor
Commander Aljedre de la Tarde walked into the Admiral's cabin under heavy guard. His face did not show good news. The admiral kept silent and the Commander gave his report, "Sir, it seems that the Tynes have some aerial support. We have lost air control in this war. Unidentified aircraft have attacked Dostanuot Loj's front line with heavy cruise missiles, and it's getting ugly."

The admiral didn't say a word. Instead he shooed the commander off while he picked up the phone. After two hours of heavy deliberation with himself and full reports from sonar supervisors and with Macabea, he made his decision. It seemed that the attacking forces were from Unified Bubnor, and that sattelite passes, as well as sonar reports, had confirmed the location of a small task force which was home to these aircraft. Thus, a strike was ordered to sink this fleet.

Fifty MMA-A1 Kondors screamed off the first carrier, while a support of twenty MMA-A2 Hawks took off from the second carrier. The Hawks kept a high altitude of thirty thousand meters, armed with twenty MTAAM-2 Predators. The Kondors had been re-armed with four MTAAM-2 Predators, as well as sixteen MALAS-2 anti-shipping missile launched torpedoes. The Kondors kept low, out of Bubnorian radar, under thirty meters altitude, and struck fast. At one hundred and fifty kilometers from Unified Bubnor's fleet the Kondors fired ten MALAS-2s at each of the four destroyers composing the fleet. The destroyers were targeted first, because as they were destroyers, if they were gone then Bubnor's fleet wouldn't have the advanced protection fleets required. Hence, these forty MALAS-2s headed towards the four seperate destroyers at Mach 2. Once they were seventy kilometers off they began to slow down and soon enough hit one hundred and twenty kilometers per hour (120kph) and at sixty kilometers off the missile capsule broke and dropped one MT-2 super cavitating torpedo, each missile. Subsequently, forty MT-2 supercavitating torpedoes entered the water, sixty kilometers off the destroyers. The MT-2s quickly made turns for a full two hundred nautical miles per hour (200knots). Two kilometers from the destroyers the torpedoes began to ping actively, looking for their targets. Two of the MT-2s didn't find anything, as the drop didn't go smoothly, and missed completly, however, the other thirty eight were running straight and normal.

Seconds after the Kondors had dropped their MALAS-2s they turned around and hit their afterburners, cruising at Mach 2.9 back to the aircraft carriers. The Hawks kept up a rear guard, looking out for missile attacks on the Kondors as they ran away. However, the Kondors weren't about to leave just yet; they still had to take out the carriers. After the damage report came in they would head towards the carriers.

As the men quickly gathered, they acted Secure. Slipping behind the Armored Naga Launch Platform, it was quickly locked down and made fire-able.

The pilot inside the Naga, put on the special goggles, and aimed by a Joystick. The Naga Missile Launch 'painted' the group of men. Firing off two missiles that exploded into the air. They were Cluster Missiles. Dropping their payloads with Affirmity and layering the area where the firing was coming from, with a Platform of death.

Quickly, the T-com guy and the leader of 'The State' hustled over. Speaking under hushed tones. "You can call me State, if you need me. I'm from a Nation that wishes to assist you. That's all you need to know and will know. Where do you need our troops, we can also lend Air attacks also, though Apache Helicopters don't do too good sometimes." He nodded lightly, rolling out a Suburb Map and nation map on the Side of the vechile. Several of his men walking around, making sure the area was secure.

This was a deadly mission. Though, he held the Radio in his left hand, while holding a Marker in his Right and offering it to the Tyne Opperative. They were going to bomb the fuck out of the Dostanuouy Loj Front lines, and then attack them by Ground Troops. It was already planned and they were affirmative that their first attacks on the Front lines rendered some action.

Eighty Kilometers off shore from Qoysh.

The National fleet sailed on, having departed from Ter hours earlier. It was only an advance fleet, the rest would come later from ywo other ports. The Rear Admiral stood on the bridge of his Battlecruiser, eyeing the seas for trouble, he had heard that ships were around Tyne, and he intended to take a look. Moving along in this small group was BC116 Ereshkigal, his flagship and Battle Cruiser, the two small Patrol carriers he had with him were both Warrior Class, PC500 Douglas Haige and PC503 Irwin Rommel, all rounded off with a pair of Halifax Class Frigates and four Sackville Class Corvettes. He wished he had some destroyers, but he can't wait for them to arive. While the fleet sailed on, a trio of SH-1B Tremor sub-hunter helicopters flew ahead, searching for any danger to the small group.

-----------------------------------------
The Front Lines.

They waited impaitiantly as the artillery bombarded the Tyne lines, throwing as much high explosive as they could into that area. The word came down the trench, and 100,000 men fixed their bayonettes to their rifles and got up onto the firing step. Here they could see the devastation, the Tyne lines had become a wasteland, but then again, the whole front was a wasteland by now.
"Duck!!" came the shout from behind, and quickly the troops hit the dirt, just as this happened the 400 Leopard 2A4C's that were hidden just behind the rear trenches stormed overhead, charging for the Tyne lines. "Attack!" Came next, and all 100,000 men charged from their trenches following the tanks into the tyne lines. The tanks quickly targeted any undestroyed Tyne fortifications and fired at them, the infantry keeping an eye out for anyone still alive. This attack was riskey, but they needed to take the line fast.

-------------------------------------
The Edge of Tyne City.

They saw it clear as day, explosions racking the area they thought Cpl. Zjar and his spotter were. They could do nothing, so they kept moving, the infantry keeping to the sides of the buildings as the two A7VII tanks rolled down the streets like they owned the place. Indeed they did, the area seemed to be deserted, and the commander was sure anyone stupid enough to pick a fight with a pair of Urban Warfare tanks had better have some heavy weapons. They moved along, slowly getting closer to Tyne HQ, and split into two groups. moving North and South of the enemy HQ to flank it.

-------------------------------
Above the Eastern Coast.

Cruising very high above the coast of Tyne, nearly 60,000 meters, the two lone Glaive interceptors went hunting. "Contacts spotted, thirty thousand meters, heading for an unknown carrier group" Announced the sensors opperator for Glaive 2.
"Roger that, are they freindlies?" Asked the pilot of Glaive 1.
"I think so sir, they seem to be attacking that carrier group."
"Let'as give them a hand then." With that the two heavy interceptors dived down to this formation. Comming up behind them slowly to make sure they're freindly.

[Battle for the waters around Dostanuot Loj] ATTN: The Macabees.

When the missiles arrived, they were spectacular.

Admiral Harold Giffeen, aboard the UNC Oak, one of Bubnor's two carriers, watched with detached horror as his support force crumbled around him. In five horrible seconds, three of his four destroyers had been obliterated, and the fourth was listing desperately in the water, but still with SAM and AA defences operational.

They had obviously underestimated the international support for their foes.

Air support was, as usual, sloppy - the Bubnorese airforce left a considerable amount to be desired, and the squadron of F-15s that were currently refueling for the second time, was at least twenty painful minutes away.

[authorisation: admiral giffeen | order: scramble.]

48 aircraft, the entire complement on the two carriers, the Oak and the Ivy were prepped for launch, with orders to protect the two carriers until they were out of effective range. They hit the afterburners after the mass of heavy aircraft that were identified as the attackers.

The admiral turned to look at the plume of smoke that had once been the support group for one-third of the entire fleet of the Unified navy, and sighed. If he was going to get out of this alive, he was going to need a ridiculous amount of luck.

---------------------------------------------------

[aboard B-1 bomber, over Tyne]

Precision munitions having been armed, The B-1 crews took aim at the advancing mass of tanks and men and launched their bombs. The munitions were of the cluster-bomb type, and burst open into a shower of high-explosive bomblets over the large force advancing on the Tyne HQ.

The explosions rang out once again.

--------------------------------------------------

[Tyne CP]

The renewed explosions made O'Halloran smile again. What didn't make him smile was news from the fleet - the chances were good that at least one carrier might be lost, while the destroyers and submarines were effectively left for dead. For the first time, he considered what the Lojians did to their captives.

Retreat, at least by sea, was no longer an option. He'd have to fight his way out, or call for spec. ops.

The Achleonian bombers flew in a radar sight of the National fleet of Dostanuot Loj.
"Carrier Geraldo 5, this is Alpha Roger Michael 776. I have a radar visual on a small naval fleet, over"
"Roger that, Alpha Roger Michael 776, You have code to investigate, over"
"Roger that, Geraldo 5. Turning to investigate, over"
One of the bombers left the group, and headed towards the National fleet.
"Unidentified fleet, this is Bomber Alpha Roger Michael 776 of the Achleonian 776th bomber squad. Identify yourself" the pilot said, the crew getting ready for the machine gun turrets. The bomber flew lower from the clouds. The national fleet being right infront of the bomber.
The other bombers of the group landed safely onto the carriers now only 100 miles from the coast of Dostanuot Loj.

Achleonian soldiers ran towards the Dostanuot Loj soldiers, and crouched in a safe distance as a sergeant major ran to the trenches and dropped down.
"Achleonian 5th battallion reporting to frontline. Where's the highest rank of this what you call a frontline" the Sergeant Major said to the soldiers around him. The Achleonian soldiers stayed back, the artillery getting equipped and tanks crewed.

[Battle for the Waters Around Dostanuot Loj]
The Macabee MMA-A2 Hawks were equipped with MRT-2 (Macabee Radar Technology), a powerful aerial radar based off the Armacor TENEX SPY-6. At about eighty kilometers distance the MRT-2 systems had positively picked up on the incoming fighters, while simple triangulation proved their source point - the Bubnor carriers. They didn't wait a second to fire. After the radar had positively picked up each of the twenty MMA-A2 Hawk Air Superiority Fighters fired three MTAAM-2 Predator Air to Air missiles. The total of sixty Predators were released from their clamps and they freefell for some ten feet before their scramjet engines, made up of a single crystal NiFe based superalloy, called THYMONEL 8. The missiles sped up to Mach 4.7, using the scramjet to support long distances, at high speeds. The missile itself had a range of two hundred kilometers, but at this time it would be at a much shorter eighty kilometers. The Predators used MRT-3 Radar technology, as well as MLT-1 LIDAR technology, which helped it look for its target. (OOC: Just in case you don't know...) LIDAR was a laser shot out of an object equipped with this phenomenon which used its speed to bounced off the intended target to find range and, if the right LIDAR was used, other things as well, such as chemical composition. LIDAR was not affected by IR flares or chaff, since it was not a radar. So, the missiles were one of the most advances used in the NationStates world (OOC: A year and a half of NationStates, and finally I make a good one).

The Kondors were coming back though. At ninety kilometers distance, keeping their low altitude, they fired fifteen MALAS-2 missiles at each of the two carriers. The MALAS-2s were released and they freefell for about twenty feet before being projected over the ocean by a conventional engine and turbine, also made of a third generation crystal superalloy, nickel based (NiAl). The missiles rapidly slowed down and at seventy kilometers distance from target, using intense LIDAR to fight the range of the carriers, their missile capsule broke and a total of forty MT-2 SuCav torpedoes plopped into the icy cold waters off Dostanuot Loj, towards the damned carriers. Making turns for 200knots the MT-2s cut through the thin waters, towards the carriers.

Then the Kondors turned around and hit their afterburners, using the Hawks as a rear guard. They would land on the first Model class Carrier and rearm for operations over Dostanuot Loj.

OOC: I'll land my men, and take my fleet out so that you can have some fun too, without me ruining it.

[The Landings]
The 1st Armored, and 2nd Armored Division were already underway towards the coast of Dostanuot Loj. Sattelite reports had already confirmed that they were going to land in Tyne, meaning that they would be in the heat of the warfare down there against the Tyne rebels. Going with them was the well experienced 1st Infantry Division. Consequently, a total of twenty thousand infantry, and one thousand Panzerkampfwaggen IX Sargon Ausf. Bs were going to land off the coast of Tyne, and hope they could hold off Tyne rebels there before they threw a pincer into the provence to finally crush the Tyne reserve, and then strike them hard in the back in the front lines, before making a final rush towards the Tyne capital, and stopping this rebellion once a for all. However, the Macabees had no clue in the skill of the Tyne soldiers, but they were sure that they could defeat anything that was put in their way.

The twenty-four large hovercraft moved towards the beach coast of Tyne, and the soldiers saw the beauty of it as they got closer. Such a great nation, in such a horrible war. A nuclear weapon! Who would devistate this with a nuclear bomb! How many more did they have? However, he Macabees would not do a nuclear retaliation unless it got really bad.

The skipper, missing about six teeth, made the final warning, "ETA thirty seconds!"

Thirty seconds later the twenty-four hovercraft hit the beach and the thousands of men poured out. The hovercraft were fairly large - they were in fact ships. But, it was possible to carry so many men. The tanks came out twenty by twenty and moved up the beach, slowly, but they moved. The three divisions would form a beachead about two kilometers wide, and one kilometer long, giving a total area of two kilometers squared to bring in another armored division and two more infantry divisions. Then the fun mayhem would begin. However, word was that the small task force would begin to head north, around Dostanuot Loj's coastline and land the rest of the men next to the front lines, so that a buffer was created against the Tyne forces.
Dostanuot Loj

The National Fleet of Dostanuot Loj.

The Battle Cruiser BC116 Ereskigal and her two Frigate's saild off at top speed for the ensuing naval battle. Leaving the slower Carriers and Corvettes behind.
When the cruiser came within range of the opposing carriers Rear Admiral Joltyt ordered his Frigates to begin attacking the enemy airfraft flying high over head. The two Frigates opened fire with their Anti Aircraft guns and small, anti-aircraft missiles, hoping to score some hits in the above foray. The Battle Cruiser however sped right for the Carriers, opening fire with a salvo from her only two gun turrets, the four forward mounted 20-inch guns in twin turrets fired a salvo for the nearest enemy Carrier. Rear Admiral Joltyt hoped to keep the enemy in surprise long enough to reload is guns for another go. The Battle Cruiser began to turn as it fired, not wanting to ram the Carriers, or rather hoping not to have to ram them.

Meanwhile, the two carriers that helb back began to arm and fuel their planes. Shortly thirty FS-12 Falcon prop-driven air superiority fighters would be heading off to take the skies over Tyne. Although not being as fast as the jet fighteres used by other nations, the FS-12's had the advantage of menuverability and no jet wash, heat seaking missiles could barely see the,. And these were the only reason they were still used. Screaming in behind the FS-12's would be 10 AT-3 attack aircraft. Jet powered and armed with the infamous GAU-8A Avanger 30mm cannon, the AT-3's were out for one thing, Tyne fortifications. With fully half of the entire Dostanuot Loj airforce mobalised on these two aircraft carriers, they weren't taking any chances. The fighters went in low over the unpopulated coast west of Tyne city and then turned for the city.

-------------------------------------------------
Rogue Special Forces inside Tyne city.

"Listen up, we're gonna go to the coast, we hear some freindlies have landed and we want to give them some help. So get a move on East!" Yelled the commander of the Dostanuot Loj Special Forces moving east through the city of Tyne. They moved out through the forest until they had to move into a small sun-urb of the city. As was tactical docterine of join-arms missions, the A7VII tank took point, and after a short while the force ran right into a group of soldiers, they couldn;t tell if they were freindly or hostile, but they reacted fast and took cover in the adjacent buildings.

-------------------------------------------------
The Front Lines.

The Dostanuot Loj forces welecomed the allied reenforcements happily. The attack had begun well, until an airstrike came in. Cluster bombs devastated nearly a third of the National troops, killing or injuring them in some way. The tanks however managed to create a break in the Tyne trenches, and the remaining troops quickly poured through. The Tyne troops quickly began to retreat, moving back to defensive postsions far away in the city of Tyne. For now the battle looked good. Within hours the Dostanuot Loj troops would begin the seige of Tyne City from the west.

--------------------------------------------------
Tyne Lines.

They fled, or so it seemed. The numbering Tyne troops were spread too thin on the front, and it was never intended to be held. Everything was going according to plan.
"With your assistance," Vlodomyr turned to the Jurrik forces leader, "I think we can hold the city."
"We have setup a well fortified perimiter with our forces in the outer part of Down town Tyne City." proclaimed Vlodomyr's radio man, "We have 120,000 troops in this city, including your forces, and should be able to hold off any attacker."
The Tyne forces began preperation of the awaiting seige from the west, bringing in tanks captured from Millitary Reserve #3. Only 35 tanks, but it would have to be enough.

Dostanuot Loj Millitary Reserve #4 airbase.

The remaining eight YF-100 Glaive Interceptors of the Dostanuot Loj National Air Force took off, screaming high into the sky with their specially build ramjets. The eight aircraft went as high as they could, nearly 80,000 meters, searching for a target they had been built to deal with. The Eight Glaive interceptors had word of a flight of B-1B bombers terrorising the ground forces, and they were off to deal with them.
Pushing offto maximum speed, the advanced aircraft, most advanced weapon in the Dostanuot Loj arsenol, quickly headed for the last know location of the bombers.
The Macabees
09-11-2004, 05:50
[First Major Bombardment of Tyne City]
The remaining fifty MMA-A1 Kondors on the aircraft carriers screamed into the darkening blue skies of Dostanuot Loj. They were backed up by twenty MMA-A2 Hawks, (leaving ten for AWACs duty), armed with their normal gear of twenty MTAAM-2 Predator air to air missiles. The Hawks cruised at high altitude at a velocity of Mach 2.9, while the Kondors, as normal, flew low at Mach 2.3. They flew in normal flight formation - they didn't expect anything in their way. The Tyne rebels had no known air force, and the only airforce they had in terms of allied, was either in the water, or under intense pressure.

The attack would have been larger. But the other fifty Kondors were just coming back from a raid on the Bubnor fleet off the coast of Dostanuot Loj, so this had to be another minor raid. But all was alright. It would still sting.

The Kondors didn't want to get close to the actual lines. Instead they opted to use their air to surface missiles, at long range. From five hundred kilometers they climbed dramatically and leveled out soon after. From there they fired a total of eight hundred MLAM-2 missiles. The targets had been picked out by an earlier sattelite pass, which had happened about three hours ago, and all the targets had to be electronically chosen through the fleet. But they would be accurate. Being hit were Tyne rebel city defenses, all government buildings, arbitrary residential areas, radar stations, sam positions, and heavy concentrations of armor and infantry.

The eight hundred missiles were released within seconds and they freefell for about fifteen feet before the scramjet propulsion kicked in, launching it at a total velocity of Mach 4.5. They shrieked towards the city of Tyne at the massive velocity, and were preapred to strike. The small supercomputers on their spine, made of small microchips containing four gigabytes each, and a similiar four gigahertz, with ln2 coolant to overclock them to seven gigahertz each, were computing the distance, and the target, as each millisecond passed. These babies were fast. The streak of air followed behind it as the MLAM-2s rapidly closed on their target. Satellites called specifically for the strike would soon make a pass taking photographs of the attack, especially during the actual bombardment. Tyne would flash with burning bulbs of fire, as the strong OctaNitroCubane warhead did its dirty work.

After this raid the Kondors turned around - they were close to the carriers - and landed, only to be re-stockpiled. However, missiles were running low. The armament ships would have to stock the ships up for a final time and then go back home. Another set of armament ships was coming in for more missiles.

[Beachead on Tyne Coast]
The hovercrafts had just landed the rest of the men, giving the Macabees a full three armored divisions (one corp), and four infantry divisions. The fifth division had already joined the Dostanuot Loj lines to the north. However, it was time for this beachead to break out.

The raging battle begun when the 1st Armored moved out with its five hundred Panzerkampfwaggen IX Sargon Ausf. B tanks. The Sargon Ausf. B was a powerhouse of the times. It's C60 buckyball matrix armor, bonded to a crystal double helix using NiAl ADBONDs, provided 200mm of armor thickness, who's RHA value was 4,000mms. Meaning nothing except a missile could penetrate the Sargon. The 140mm ETC gun was nothing to fool with either - using "R" rings, which lowered recoil, and muzzle flash, using spring compressors, would make the gun deadly. The Sargons, with their 2,000hp diesel engine, sped at 30 kilometers per hour through the beachead and begun their movement west, towards Tyne. It was time to show these rebels what it meant to have a rebellion. The 1st Armored Division would have no mercy for POWs (OOC: If I get any, I'll make a damn good RP..but you won't see any survivors). If any armor showed up a nice SABOT round from the 140mm ETC gun would tear it to shreds, and if any infantry showed up the MG92 30mm Avenger at the top could rip right through them, along with high explosive SABOT rounds from the main gun. There was no real tactic with such power. Well, even if their was, it would be of little use, since there was little intelligence to explain where the rebels were, or how they were deployed. The Macabees would just have to plow through them...

The 1st Infantry Division would follow in the 1st Armored's wake, acting as a rear guard mop up unit. In case the armored division was stopped it would act as a reserve and put an end to any crap happening at the front. It was also reinforced by the handy dandy carriers in the waters.

ATTN: The Macabees, Dostanout Loj.

OOC: danke, though it's fine if you beat me around a bit - I'm a tiny nation with a bit of an ambitious leader. I don't really mind losing so long as everyone has an interesting time.

IC: [UNC Oak, Unified Bubnor Naval Task Force 2]

The Admiral was not pleased.

Aboard the Oak, things were only getting worse. Though the point-defense weaponry made relatively short work of the incoming missiles from the heavy bombers, they were running a little light on ammunition. Another run, and they'd be in some considerable trouble. On top of this, he'd lost half of his effective air wing to a devastating attack by a much more advanced air force. They'd been lucky as far as the torpedoes went, but that was to be expected. All of the wreckage in the water had created a nigh-impenetrable maze for the torpedoes to navigate, and, though there had been a very nasty hit amidships on the Ivy, the carriers remained operational, if very badly bruised by the five torpedoes that collectively managed to hit the two carriers.

The Radar officer had assured him that the accursed bombers were RTBing, but at that very moment, a bloody Lojian Naval task force had shown up.

He wasn't so much scared as really, really pissed off.

[authorisation: admiral giffeen | command: inflict losses on the loj navy and retreat]

-------------------------------------

[Aboard UNS Nightshade, Unified Bubnor Task Force 02]

The Nightshade was a special breed of submarine, run by a special breed of captain. The navy's only missile submarine (SSBN) or "Boomer", the nightshade was designed for this sort of mission.

Really, so was her captain, a sociopathic ethnic slav by the name of Pitr Voyevsky. Pitr had porphyria - a rare genetic condition in which toxins build up in the blood due to various chemical reactions, which made it impossible for him to tolerate direct sunlight. For obvious reasons, this had earned him the title "Vampire." Pitr, naturally gifted at strategy - with a cold grasp of how many men were expendable in any given situation, had been noticed by the Bubnorese navy at the age of twelve, and ever since, had been in or around his beloved submarines. Now he had command of fully one-half of the entire Bubnorese submarine fleet, he had moulded them into a brilliant corps that the General staff had nicknamed "The Vampire's silent legions."

There really wasn't a better man to have in this situation. The Nightshade, and her three Attack Submarine escorts, the Olive, the Rose, and the Foxglove were in a perfect position to respond to the attack on her surface fleet. He expected that it would be believed by both sides that his entire force had been wiped out in the torpedo barrage, when he had hidden his fleet behind the carriers, and that didn't really bother him - in fact, it was probably better that the Admiral wasn't acting to preserve his subs. It was more important that the two carriers escaped the field.

Which was where he came in. On his signal, the Nightshade moved to launch depth, flooded her missile tubes, and fired a total of thirty-two harpoon missiles at the ships currently in the sea around the carrier group. Ten were targeted on each of the frigates, while six acquired the cruiser and the remaining eight split themselves evenly amongst four of the corvettes at extreme range.

While that happened, the Rose and the Foxglove, who had crept to within thirty kilometers of the defensive perimeter around the Lojian carriers, fired six harpoon missiles each at the carriers. It was vital that the air support for the Lojian fleet be cut off entirely.

The Olive, meanwhile, had other uses. Enemy submarines were reportedly in the area, and she had to remain on alert.

Pitr gave the order to dive once again - he had no doubt that the ASW choppers would scream bloody murder at one another after he had escaped again. Confident, no. Certain of his own genius, yes.

So SSN 31 submerged to four hundred feet under the icy waters of the coasts off Dostanuot Loj in order to look for some fun with the Bubnor attack subs which had just showed their positions by firing harpoons at Dostanuot Loj's imperial fleet. The attack might have crippled Dostanuot Loj, since the Macabees doubted that they knew of the technology to guard against such attacks (well, I might be wrong), but the Macabees were still there. The single SSN moved quietely, using anachoic tiling to absorb active pinging, and having a dual nuclear and MHD drive - the MHD could be relied on to provide quiet propulsion, since it eliminated cavitation.

Captain Haavnor van Delagun was a Freemantian. The first Freemantian in the Macabee submarine team. He was no idiot in his field of dreams and he would prove a worthy competitor to Bubnor's several submarines. Hopefully his submarine would come out unscathed, or at very least alive. Hope was a lie. He was a fair stratetician, however, the Macabees provided their men with the technology to excel with only a mere knowledge in strateg and tactics. And with this Captain van Delagun went into battle.

Some ten thousand meters (10 kilometers) from the expected submarine position of the enemy his submarine, which had just come in at a low velocity of three knots, halted, and he ordered his TB-23 thin line towed array to be reeled out of the main ballast tank. The TB-23 was full of hundreds of hydrophones which could gear into any noises in the area, passively. And without doubt the TB-23 caught movement bearing at an angle of nine-eight to the Macabee SSN. Now came the trick. He had several options. He could actively ping with a single sweep and paint the area; he could get in closer; or he could fire blind. Option one meant he would paint the area for his submarine, but then again, it would also paint the area for all naval vessels in the area. Option two might jeoperdize his stealth. Finally, option three would effect his accuracy. After quickly thinking about it he opted for option three. If the passive was right, and they weren't next to a convergance zone, the active sonar and LIDAR on the MT-2 super cavitating torpedoes could catch whatever was over there alone, without jeoperdizing his stealth. Then he would have to listen up for other submarines which reacted to the blast.

Captain Haavnor van Delagun made his orders clear and precise, "Load tubes one, two, three, and four with MT-2s. Load tubes five, six, seven, and eight with MAT-1s!"

His orders were completed in about three minutes and the TB-23 made a last attempt to keep track of the submarine, now jotted down as Master 1. The SSN31 was still at four hundred feet depth. The captain made his next move, "Ready tubes one and two in all respects! Open outer doors!"

The response was immediate, "Aye sir, tubes one and two ready in all respects! Outer doors opened!"

Haavnor van Delagun didn't hesitate, "Fire tubes one and two at Master!"

The torpedoes would be on wire guidance until their LIDAR and SONAR acted up. Then the wires would be cut and the outer doors closed, while the tubes were re-stocked with the same type of torpedo. The crew did it with style, as they worked at all haste to complete the given orders.

The MT-2 was a wonder. As a supercavitator it started to make turns for 200knots, although it was extremely noisy, and once its sonar started up there was nothing that could absorb the power of the Poseidon torpedo variant. Additionally, once the target was locked on by LIDAR, which fired a laser to match velocity, vector and range, the torpedo wouldn't be affected by noisemakers, or other decoys. It would run straight and normal, towards the target.

Once the wires were cut SSN31 turned the rudder left, and the submarine began to turn right in a short angle, to change vectoring. Soon enough it would either be heard and attacked, or it would hear another victim. Most probably the former would happen since the enemy most probably had a towed array, or heard the torpedoes originate.

ATTN: The Macabees.

[Aboard UNS Olive]

The colour drained from the sonar officer's face - "Transient! Torpedo tube flooded!"

"SHIT SHIT SHIT" The captain froze. If it was a Macabanian sub, they were pretty much screwed. The torpedoes were too quick, and too accurate. "Full ahead, get ready to evade!"

"Torp in the water! It's definitely Macabanian!"

The captain went ashen.

"Two fired, Two Fired!"

The torpedo pinged once, then twice, and acquired its target.

The first explosion explosion ripped a hole in the outer hull, then punched through into the reactor.

Boom.

A 200MWt nuclear reactor gives off a lot of heat energy when a submarine is running from a torpedo. Enough to turn the water around it into one hell of a steam explosion. A catastrophic meltdown ensued onboard the Olive, as the reactor melted its housings and evaporated any water that came into direct contact with it. There were no failsafes for this sort of situation.

The submarine, the second torpedo, the damaged Bubnorese destroyer above it and the water for a couple of hundred metres around evaporated in a massive flash of steam, releasing the terrible and effective power of several thousand tonnes of TNT.

(ooc: sorry. we never really had time to develop a decent meltdown failsafe system on our submarines. Nuclear-powered steam explosions are ENORMOUS)

[Aboard the UNS Nightshade]

The sonar officer wrenched the headphones off his ears, and collapsed on the floor with blood coming from his ears. A nuclear explosion is the loudest man-made sound on earth, and though this one was relatively small, the high level of sound conduction through water was enough to mean that the poor man would never hear again, and had likely suffered terminal brain damage also.

Pitr assessed the situation. He decided that minus a trained sonar operator, the best option would be for him to match speed with the carrier and hang directly underneath.

The Bubnorese modifications to the Ohio-Class SSBN had made it one of the most difficult to detect in the open ocean. With the surrounding ocean full of confusion and wreckage. Pitr steamed for the open sea, at the maximum speed at which detection would still be nigh-impossible.

At the same time, the crews on the other SSNs shut off all of their engines, and allowed themselves to settle on the ocean bottom. They would lie in wait for any subs that might come hunting.

They might have been trapped, but lying doggo was one thing that Pitr had trained them to do best.

Naval Battle off Dostanuot Loj.

The frigates were unprepared for an attack by missiles, and after the smoke cleared one was dangerously low in the water, and had lost all propulsion, the other listing dangerously to one side. The Battle Cruiser however, had faired fairly well, or rather better the the frigates. The rear helicopter hanger of the Battle Cruiser was utterly destroyed, as well as the rear exhaust stack. A good portion of the aft of the ship was missing, but the thick armor had protected the arms and majority of the crew. The Frigate with prupolsion, the one listing to the side, turned under half power to search for the enemy sub that had fired upon it. The other Frigate merely drifted, slowly sinking helplessly. Upon deatonation of a submerged nuclear submarine, the drifting Frigate was too close being pulled under with the rushing water just moments after one third of the ship was nearly vaporised.
The Battle Cruiser turned it's guns upon the Bubnorese carriers once again, Rear Admiral Joltyt did not want these ships to get away. As the Battle Cruiser began to move forward slowly, towards the carriers, all four of it's forward 20-inch guns fired at the nearest Bubnorese carrier. The gun crews quickly reloading and aquiring their next target, the other carrier. While the Battle Cruiser made another turn to avoide ramming it's prey, the four guns again fired.

One of the Corvette's went down imediatly, another being imobilised. The two remaining managed to avoid total destruction and quickly turned towards where they believed the missiles had been fired from. The Patrol Corvette's being specialised in anti-submarine warfare they quickly began searching the ocean depths for enemy subs, and at every ping of the sonar, high explosive depth charges were dropped.
The Carriers however were badly damaged, but still able to move. They turned back to their home port of Ter and fled as fast as their damaged engines could move. Before leaving, the two carriers launched all 12 of their SH-1B Tremor sub-hunter helicopters to assist the Corvettes.

Outside Tyne City.

The Rouge Spec-Ops forces that landed earlier in the city quickly met up with the advancing forces, giving intel they had gathered durring their time in the city. With the net intel the DosTanuot Loj forces split up and flanked the sity, moving around to the coast to meet up with Macabee forces o the coast. The Tyne rebels were expecting an attack from inland, and had left their rear flank open.

--------------------------------------------------
Inside Tye City.

They fired upon the small group of National forces, swiftly murdering the stunned infantry with their machine guns. The tank however was something else, they had never so much as heard of it's existance. While the Tyne Rebel forces were mowed down in the open by the machine guns on the A7VII, and their small sandbag fortifications in the streets demolished by it's 75mm main gun, the rebels lured the tank down the street. Before the commander had realised he had driven into a mine feild, the tank was demolished. The Tyne forces moved in close, draggind the still burning bodies of those who had managed to somehow survive the mines, putting the fires out and bringing them back to their HQ.

[An end of sorts] (ATTN: The Macabees, Dostanuot Loj)

[Unified Fleet Command, Andal, Bubnor Eastern Seaboard]

The first minister went even paler than he usually was as the casualty reports came in from the front.

"We've lost pretty much our original fleet" the Admiral was saying. "I've recalled TF-03 to port, because we cannot afford to lose another portion of our main defensive capabilities."

Thomas Cordery's blue eyes narrowed, but he couldn't fault his admiral - he'd made the right choice - they just hadn't bargained on encountering a military as advanced as The Macabees.

"all right, we're going to pull out. I'm going to get on the phone to Admiral Namtar and see if we can sort out some sort of reparations/assistance."

"You mean it's possible we're going to backflip?" asked the admiral.

"Very much so - our new purchases from Gray's Hill could win us the war, but at what costs? I mean, we've already lost two submarines, maybe more, an entire surface support group, and, if there is much more fighting, I can see a carrier going down, too. Add to that the possibility of the Lojians claiming we have used nuclear weapons - though we have none, and I hope that the explosion was an accident."

"How much money do we have in the budget for reparations?" the First Minister asked Hugh Hohn, the Economics advisor.

"About six billion dollars - $5,965,000,000, to be exact."

Thomas ran his hands through his red-blond hair, and he sighed. He was too young for this sort of job, but a victory in this war, on whichever side he ended up on, would ensure re-election next year. He prepared to swallow his pride as he dialled the hotline for both Dostanuot Loj and the Macabees.

He was going to switch sides, if they'd let him. If not, he was going to pay them a shitload and hope the problem went away.

If that didn't happen, he'd sit in his office, ring his island in naval defenses and hope against hope that the military budget allowed for one hell of an airforce next year.

[Aboard the UNC Oak]

The enormous mushroom cloud of water that erupted from the ocean six kilometers from his position made Admiral Giffeen stop cold.

"BRACE" he yelled at the top of his voice, as an enormous - 50 foot, wall of water rushed towards the carrier. Men flew off the deck, blown away by the shockwave, to be drowned by the implacable wall of water as it passed beneath the carrier and into the open ocean.

When it passed, he assessed the damage. Aeroplanes were knocked askew, and more than one of their helicopters was sinking fast to the bottom of the ocean.

He radioed the Ivy, who gave a similar report of the damage.

As the carriers steamed towards the open sea at their top safe speed, the Lojian cruiser gave pursuit and continued to fire at the Ivy, which began to list alarmingly, as the shells from the cruiser's forward guns punched holes in the carrier's deck.

He had one thing left to do - the Ivy would have to be left to its own devices.
He took advantage of the diverted attention of the cruiser and steamed at flank speed towards home, hoping against hope that there wasn't a submarine in the way.

[SSN31]
Haavor van Delagun moved quickly back to the sonar room, pacing himself through the crammed halls and doorways. However, his pace was cut short by a long, and violent, jolting which threw him back to the starting point of the hallway. Several sailors rushed to help him up. He ran to the sonar room. He needed to know what the hell that was exactly. Was it a nuclear meltdown? When he arrived what he saw would shake him forever. The sonar supervisor was on the floor, blood pouring out of his ears and eyes, kicking and screaming. When the captain went down to pick him up the man resisted and began to scream even louder. Beside him a young sonarman looked glimly at the captain and said,"Yep. Poor bastard couldn't do anything about it. Nuclear meltdown fuggin' scrambled his brain. Scrambled, alright. This dude is toast if you ask me."

The captain ignored the last parts of the comment and began to think. Without a sonarman his submarine was destined to become kibbles for the sharks. He needed to get out of here and back up with the main fleet. The other nine submarines could deal with anything out there. He took one last look at the poor man pouting on the floor and gave a cold order,"Tie him up, and put him in an empty storage compartment. This man is dead anyways. The only thing we can do now is take him back to the ship, get him flown to Tortuga Isle, and then flown to Freemantia, where he can die with his family."

The captain walked back to the center control room and glanced at his XO before giving out orders, in a calm town, "Turn rudder left. Give me a one-eight-zero degree turn! We're heading back to CTF-3."

The Toledo class SSN turned slowly, not to make too much noise, and began to head back towards the carrier fleet, which was currently supporting actions on Tyne itself.

All we need is for Dostanuot Loj to answer the ringing hotline and maybe I'll get out of this with two carriers - as it stands, the war is still on, and my carriers are both running for their lives, as is my SSBN.

Admiral U.Namtar II's response to the Bubnorese call.

"If you wish to remove yourself from the conflict, we will allow you to. All we ask is that you remove your forces from our territory imediatly and when the rebel forces are dispatched, that you pay the costof the cleanup of that mess your accidental melt down caused off our coastline.
If your intentions truely are peacful, then perhaps more, peacful political relations may follow later."

Off the coast of Tyne.

The remaining Frigate slowly turned back to the port of Ter, badly in need of repairs, the Captian hoping that the ship could make it. The Corvette's continued their searches for submarines, no longer activly destroying everything they ping, but searching to make sure there were no surprises hidden under the water. And finnally, the Battle Cruiser turned around, letting the badly damaged Carriers of the Bubnorese navy get away. The Battle Cruiser headed back to the Tyne coast, now planningto bring it's large guns to bare on the Tyne defenses.

Tyne City Fortifications.

After the interrogation of the National forces that were captured, the Rebel leaders were awestruck. Quickly they had to reenforce their coastal flank, but they had no time to put defenses in. The troops quickly moved into buildings facing the coast, bringing whatever they could to defend themselves, their last ditch effort would have to hold.

As the Jurrik forces quickly recongized that something was wrong, they attempted to take over a Building. A small group of 300 men. Moving about the Roof and setting up Portable Naga Launchers and firing down at the bad 'guys'. The Rebels shall win this one. That's what they were here for, today.

They were out for a mission tonight. It was rapidly becoming daytime though. They moved, firing off weapons and escorting the Apache unit that had a 'MEDIC' symbol on the side. Quickly, it dropped off something. It was about four boxes. They quickly ushered them into the Building. Running to the roof, a few whooshes were then heard. C4 packets flying through the air, hitting the spaces were Troops were. Sending Steel Balls everywhere along with the inital explosion.

Then it occured. A signal was sent out. Over the Radio Units. They were going to deploy IG chemicals. They quickly evacuated the roof and put on their gasmasks. Along with Chemical Warfare clothing. Perparing for the worst. They filled the 8 gallon tanks for now.
