A Eredron MCS spokeswoman confirmed during a press conference that the Eredron Air Force had just declared operational it's quietly developed Satellite Disruption System.

The SDS, part of a multi-billion dollar expansion of the Eredron military, is a "ground- and space-based defense platform designed to interfere and disrupt satellite communication and operation using electromagnetic radio frequency energy. Enemy transmissions are temporarily brought down by the energy, allowing Eredron a critical advantage in the early stages of any military conflict, interfering and hindering the ability of enemy forces to communicate and gain information sent via satellite.

The SDS will be operated from ground sites throughout Eredron territory, as well as on nearly two dozen satellites in orbit around the planet.

The Satellite Disruption System does not cause permanent damage to satellites, nor create space debris.

Any chance that you might be selling the tech for this "SDS"?

Eredron cannot, at this time, entertain the idea of any technological exchange involving the SDS platform.

You do realize that if anything were to "mistakingly" interfere with Anagonian Communications we would destroy the satellites, correct? I'm sure you understand my concern.

OOC: I'm assuming for a moment this is basically a very very large high-powered directional jammer or EM field emitter, since it only works "temporarily" (whereas an EMP is permanent). On that basis, I have to say that to counter this, all that's necessary is to switch frequencies (unless it's a barrage jammer or just a very fast selective one), increase the transmission power, make the transmission burst-based, or perhaps jam the emitter itself.

Anagonia would be prudent not to consider military strikes against Eredron as a first response to any technical malfunction in their communications.

No no, we do not launch nukes, we have other ways of disabling the satellites. However, we were just making sure you understood a primary concern of any nation.

For, using any weapon against such a...malfunction...would be senseless.

OOC: The effect is, indeed, only temporary. After a short time, the satellites would be able to return to operational mode. This is just a preliminary stage, before I go to the next level.
