(This is an Open RP)
The GHN (Grays Hill Navy) released an official report todat at 1330 today. In the report one of the Navy's submarines went "missing" today at about 1300 hours. The submarine was last reported about 250 miles off the southern coast of Grays Hill.
The sub is the G.H.N.S. Tiechert. It holds 133 crewmen all together. The Tiechert was patrolling the waters for any threats, like it does every day. At 1302 hours the sub dissapeared from radar, and all transmissions with the sub were lost.
Aeriel flights are being conducted to search for the sub. Other subs and several Cruisers are also scouting the area where the sub was last detected. As yet the cause of the dissapearence is unkown. Possibilities are that the sub was attacked, an explosion on board occured, or the engine has failed, ultimately causing the sub to shut down.
Another report is expected to be relased when more details are uncovered.

The Government of His Imperial, the Emperor of Falastur, would like to question the Government of Gray's Hill as to the possibility that the Captain or members of the crew of the G.H.N.S. Tiechert have left the service of their nation, deserting their posts with the submarine for their own reasons.
As of two hours from now, Falasturian ships will be carrying out an extensive search for this missing submarine, on your behalf. Any information that might help our search be successful would be gratefully recieved.

That possibility was ruled out because at the time of the submarine going missing, the sub was communicating with the captain of another sub, the G.H.N.S. Euless. He was notified that the sub had gone off radar, and then he radioed in to their naval port. No other ships were picked up on radar, but that still doesnt rule out the possibility of an attack.

Very well. The Commodore commanding the 27th Flotilla, searching for your missing submarine, has been informed of this, and will commence his search shortly. We only hope our efforts will not be in vain.
OOC: Will post again tomorrow. Time for sleep now.

We have our naval defenses on standby, but let it be known that if the submarine approaches and does not identify itself before it comes within range of our missiles, we cannot guarantee its safety.
Please let us know of any advances in the search, and we have several scout fighters searching out waters for any submarines or distress signals.

Right now, my forces are only looking in about a 75 mile radius of the last reported position of the submarine. Should we have to widen the search range that far, you would be notified.

I shall consult my peers in FINIA. Do you wish for FINIA's assistance?
The president of Grays Hill would like to ask some questions and say some things:
"First off, what is FINIA? Is it an alliance?", "If you are asking if we need military assistance, right now, thats a no, because we still dont know the fate of those 133 good men"

Falcania, Infinacy, Nerotika, IDF, Anagonia. FINIA. We are a liberation alliance. We sucessfully liberated the disputed territories of Zhekistan. We are hoping to expand our repetoire, so to speak.

OOC: It says this is an open RP so can I join?
IC: The Goverment of New Kiev humbly express our desire to assist in any way possible. We are deeply saddened by the disapperence of the G.H.N.S. Tiechert and offer the services of our 2nd Submarine Group and our 1st Submarine Support Squadron (which sadly has experience in submarine search and rescue efforts).
Sincerely,
Secretary of the People's Navy Hanns Cohen, People's Republic of New Kiev.

The time was now 0034 hours. The President sleep was interuped when his top advisor busted in his room.
"Sir, we have made contact. The back up generator has finally kicked in. Something happened with the engine. The sub has surfaced and is waiting on an escort just incase the something goes wrong with the generator." the advisor reported.
"Why, this is excellent news!" The president then went and phoned all 133 families personally to deliver them the good news, despite the early hour. He told them where the ship was to come at port. The ship was going to be escorted to Port Royal. This was on the southeast coast of the nation. With in the hour, a Cruiser, the G.H.N.S. Telesyn was escorting the submarine to the port. The families rushed to the port to meet their loved ones which they had worried about for the past hours.
in about 2 hours the submarine was pulling into port. At 0200 the sub was at port and was unloading its crewman. One by one they found their loved ones and embrassed them like they had been gone for some years. It was a touching reuniting. There were no damages to anoy crewman, and it was later detected that the engine was not properly inspected, thus causing it to fail. The president has sent out thank yous to all nations that extended the arm of help in Grays Hill' hour of need.
