Once again, we are proud to announce an aircraft for purchase.
However, this is a completely original design- the first of it's kind by any member of the British Ocean States. The OF-17 'Lynx' long-range interceptor is the aircraft of choice for the airforce of the British Ocean States.
The aircraft has 2 O.A.I. J45 Turbofans- each delivering 35,000 pounds of thrust. This propels the aircraft to around Mach 1.7.
On board the aircraft shares the same cockpit as the Tornado GR.10N- only it has been optimised for air to air combat with a brand new Ouerzi Radar Systems G-500 "intelliradar". With a range of over 300 nautical miles, the radar can detect other friendly Lynx aircraft by picking up on the electronic tag that comes with every Lynx fighter.
The Lynx has 2 wetpoints on each wing- allowing it to carry 3,000 lbs worth of fuel in external tanks. There are also 6 hardpoints (3 on each wing) for a variety of missiles and munitions. On the fuselage are 2 hardpoints.
Although the Lynx is optimised for long range combat, it also has 2 forward facing 20mm revolving cannons, and also one rear facing remote turret system. This turret houses a 30mm cannon, and is controlled from the RIO's station via a small TV screen.
The Lynx is provided with 2,500 rounds of ammunition for all 3 guns. Missiles and other ordinance must be bought by the customer, however.
We are selling the Lynx at 40 million per unit.
