Yesterday marked the beginning of a new era in Godulan space flight as the proverbial ground was broken on a colossal shipyard intended for the construction of massive capital ships. Primary among the ship designs intended to be facilitated by the new shipyard are half-kilometer long destroyers of varying types, one-kilometer-long battleships, and the expected pride of the Godulan Navy, six-kilometer-long Juggernauts.
Building upon the basic design considerations of a typical star destroyer, the Juggernaut utilizes a 4-lobed concave pyramid shape, which effectively grants it the greatest forward firepower known, the equivalent of bringing eight full broadsides to bear on a frontal target, while also creating the smallest target possible. The juggernaut can also be upgraded with a support ring that enables it to fire kinetic lances of virtual matter at targets to devastating effect, as well as holding multiple wings of Godulan StarBolt Fighters.
Shipyard construction is expected to take (15 RL Days) to complete, allowing for the ground-based shipyard to churn out its normal numbers of support craft and combat ships of frigate size or less in the meantime.
