BNN Press Release, November 5, 2004 14:55 BCT

Today the trial of the three men accused of murdering a gay man were found guilty of their crime and were sentanced to exile from BLARGistania. The men were supposidly involved in a neo-conservative radical group with an extensive background of intolerance towards others they deemed 'threatening' to their way of life. The men were tried in a televised trial and were sentanced within a week after the trial began. The government of BLARGistania has requested nations willing to take these men in their exile. The family of the murdered man were unavailable for comment after the trial but thier lawyer gave the following statement.

We, as a community are shocked an appaled by this crime. The family is in deep mourning and is planning a funeral for later this week. They stil lcannot believe such a crime would be commited in their own community.

This is a sad day for BLARGistania as a whole and we hope that such a crime will never again be comitted.

October 30, 2004.

The three men shuffled into the court room, they were chained together and watched under close security. The defense attempted an insnaity defense but could not establish that the accused were unstable or unaware of what they had done.

The Prosecution was able to establish guilt from several eyewitnesses from the night as well as forensic evidence found on the deceased.

The jury went into deliberations which lasted a short two hours. They issued a guilty verdict. Shortly after the verdict, the judge issued the following conviction:

The laws of BLARGistania cannot aptly punish you for your actions against another member of your very own country. Were it left up to me, I would sentance you for treason but the laws do not extend that far. As BLARGistania has outlawed the death penalty, I cannot condemn you to death either. Instead, you will be sentanced to the harshest punishment the laws allowed. You are hereby exiled from BLARGistania. If you return you will treated as a treasonous citizen and sentanced to life in a maximum security prison. May your god have mercy upon your soul.

The family of the defendents broke down in tears, knowing they would never see their loved ones again. The men looked shocked but humbled, knowing that this was to be their punishment. The three were led out under police escort.

The men were given 4 days under police surveilance to pack up their belongings and say goodbyes. They were then escorted to the border where they wait under surveilance for a nation to take them into exile. The families were given the option of going with the men.

The BLARGistanian government has issued a request to any willing nation to take these men into exile. BLARGistania does not wish to see them on BLARGistanian soil again in their natural lives.
