It is time for elections in Jasariana again. The Prime Councilor race is very heated. The candidates are:

Prime Councilor Drake Van Hyte is the incumbent and is representing the Jasarian Economic Priority Party (JEPP). During his last term as Prime Councilor he accomplished many of his goals. The unemployment rate fell from 8.12% down to a measly 3.03% as it currently is. The Per Capita GDP has risen from a little above $23,000 to above $37,000. All the while, he has lowered income tax from 27% down to nothing. Besides these economic gains, he has also led Jasariana in a few diplomatic events. He successfully got Jasariana into the Westwood Alliance region and has built up allies. He also has avoided war and claims that he would always try to avoid war at all costs. He is married and has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the prestigious Jensen University in Jaxz City.

Councilor Matt K. Udall has been a member of the Holy Council since its inception and represents the Jasarian Nationalist Party (JNP). He was the first Prime Councilor of Jasariana and was also the Prime Minister before that. He would like to raise taxes so the government can spend more on some key issues. He doesn’t want the taxes to get above 20%, but believes that it is necessary to use an income tax. He would like to increase spending in the areas of defense, public transport, and education. Currently, the government is spending $1.1 trillion, compared to over $7 trillion by others in the WWA. In the area of education, Prime Councilor Van Hyte has funded it with almost no funding. Councilor Udall would like to dramatically change that, believing that the children are our future. He is married and received a Bachelor’s Degree in politics from Peronavy University in Saligaut.

Grant Jones is a political activist and represents the Socialist Party for Change (SPC). He has never been elected into the council before and wants to drastically change the nation. He wants the government to tax much more and spend much more. He is disgusted with the state of the social welfare, social equality, and healthcare areas of the current government. In all 3 areas, the current govt. is not spending a penny. He plans to change that. He also would like to cut defense and law & order budgets, currently 31 and 45 percent of all govt. spending. He would like to give people much more civil rights than they currently do. He is not married because he scares most people off, and he also graduated from Jensen University but with a liberal arts degree.
