The Grand Duchy of Apollina would like to hold wargames between one Apollinan Regiment (our regiment is about 900 men), and one infantry regiment of a second nation. Our Defence Office believes that these exercises will be the first real test for our newly standardised mechanised divisions. We would like these exercises to be purely ground, however if the second nation wishes to include air support we are happy to negotiate due to the strong interlinking of ground and air support. These exercises will be held in Apollina, so the nation wishing to take part must be prepared to transport thier force to Apollina.

Apollinan Force
1 Mechanised Regiment – 60 APCs, 540 combat troops, 60 IFVs, 2 command vehicles plus 1 artillery battery

Conditions
- 1,000 men or under, these are small scale for now
- No live ammo; blank ammo in assault rifles, machine guns etc
- Artillery strikes to be reported back to a central HQ and effect determined by joint commanders from both forces
- Please state your forces and the loose equipment they will bring


OOC - Basically I would like to play this out as a real battle. It will be my first real RP here for a long while so it is sort of a practice; as well as me wanting to RP a battle but not wanting to go to war. I would like to RP with somebody who wants to RP properly (not OTT number wanking, fun RPing), be them old, or new and wanting to learn, like me! Thanks.

I do not wish to go to war with you, but may I ask as I am a new member, who decides who wins?

We wanted no war with anybody LauraGrad, simply military exercises to help to train and test our forces if they are needed in a real military situation. (OOC - a practice for if and when I decide to deploy overseas)

OOC - There are many ways to win a war, the participants can set parameters before a conflict eg. taking the capital or a proportion of the nation; there are many possibilities as this is free-form. Read the the stickies at the top of the forum to learn more.

It has recently come to our attention that you wish to conduct a war game involving some relatively light forces. We are interested in testing out a new rapid deployment concept that we are developing, and wish to send a force equipped with the following:

[11] Laser Target Designators
[96] IR aim light
[9] IR viewer
[322] Night Vision devices
[2] 1/4 ton trucks

Light Tanks:

25 Type 63A light tanks
15 Scorpion Light Tanks
20 Sheridan light tanks

We also wish to send 300 additional troops to act as logistical and maintenence support as well as their miscellaneous vehicles.

Apollina will be happy to host these games with P3X1299, our commanders and troops are looking forward to this first real test of thier abilities. And of course you can bring your back up troops, a base camp is being made ready for you by our engineers. Our forces taking part are:

340 Riflemen - H&K G-36 Assault Rifles
60 Support gunners - H&K M-36 support guns
60 Snipers - SR-15 sniper rifles
40 Anti Tank - LAW
20 0.5 cal machine guns

All have 9mm Beretta Pistols
Use of 60 81mm mortars

60 Saxon APCs (nightvision and mounted machine gun)
60 Scimitar Recon Tanks (nightvision, 30mm gun and co-axial and mounted machine guns)
2 Command Vehicles
40 Land Rovers available to use (mounted machine gun)
1 Artillery battery (5 122mm pieces, 15 Saxons and 125 troops)

OOC - I will set up a new thread for this once confirmed. We will just fight it out as if a real battle unless you would prefer otherwise. Of course in real terms there will be zero losses unless there are accidents.

Easy green is always looking to test out its armed forces and to offer help to new nations testin and improveing their own armed forces. if you would like another wargame at some point please just ask.
