On behalf of Ouerziland, British Teawa proudly presents another classic airframe...in a new concept.

The Tornado GR.10N Mark Two is a new, dedicated Naval aircraft offered at a nice price.
But you may be wondering what exactly is different about the aircraft?
Well, a shortened fuselage and tailplane for starters. But also, the aircraft is made from 30% lighter materials and the RIO/WSO cockpit has been completely removed in order to reduce the take-off distance required.

The Power plants are two up to date EJ-100 turbofans with afterburners. This engine can get the GR.10N up to Mach 2.6 in no time.

The aircraft retains it's variable geometry wings.

On board, the cockpit has been heavily modified with the latest head up display system and the famed Ouerzi GRS-567 Radar and Targeting system with a maximum range of approximately 250 nautical miles.

Standard armament includes two Mauser 27mm cannons. Customers are expected to supply their own missiles/bombs for their aircraft. Aircraft purchased will be loaded free of charge with 1,500 cannon shells.
The aircraft has six fuselage mounted hardpoints with provisions for Air to Air Missiles and Air to Ground Missiles. The bay can be loaded with up to 13,000 lbs worth of munitions. 2 wetpoints for fuel tanks up to 1,500lbs on the wings. 2 hardpoints are also fitted on the wing primarily for AIM-9 sidewinders.

The aircraft costs 27 million per unit.

We await your order.

OOC: a nice concept but a few flaws:-
1 bomb bay: where exactly are you going to fit this, its not as if you have much room in the fusalage, perhaps if you sued smaller engines...
2 Engines: you go to all the bother of vastly remodeling the fusalage and use new materials to make it lighter yet you are still using out dated engines. you coudl probabaly get a set of newer engines with fewer parts (less maintance), better fuel efficency (super criuse) and smaller size (freeign up room for a bomb bay), hint find some of the fluff on the EJ-200.
3 guns: Why on earth do you think that the 30mm ADEN cannons are better than the BK-27? The 30mm (270g at 800m/s) rounds are big and slow with not much more hitting power compared to the much faster moving 27mm ammo (260g at 1,025m/s). The BK-27 mauser is also a more modern with a very simialr weight, if you msut upgrade the gun, switch to the BK-27 version from the Typoon with the linkless feed system.

Other than that a very nice aircraft and a damn fine pic edit.

IC: Seeing as how they are not exactly up to par, but next to expendable units and a possible drone for training our pilots we would like to go out on a limb and purchase 3000 of them. The total comes to $9,000,000,000. It will be paid by the following groups and in amounts from our budget.

Religion & Spirituality: 1 billion (yes our religon is part search for god and mastering yourself + pilots for space.)
Commerce: 2 billion (testing + air shows)
Defence: 3 billion (drones, defense)
Goverment Waste: 3 billion (top secret research)

Swept wings?
The Tornado has variable geometry wings. Meaning that they SWING, and are not in a fixed position. ;)

In the UK they're known as sweep wings...oh wait. Swing wings. Sorry about that, got mixed up...

I've made all of the changes suggested...the Bomb bay has been reconfigured back to the standard specs...in it's place are 6 hardpoints...also, it's now armed with two BK 27mm Mauser cannons.

As for the EJ200's...they won't be implemented until the next batch are ordered.

3000 units? No chance ;)

Maybe 150. We're only small.

Still want them?

Sure, $400,000,000 will be wired upon confirmation. How about we buy the production rights to, what will that cost?

No production rights as of yet.

The first MK.I Tornados are on their way...

OOC: I fail to see how you could upgrade an aircraft design and manage a 90%+ price drop at the same time. The cheapest variants of the Tornado go at around $30 million, and the most expensive cost up to $50 million.
That's a rather extreme price difference, and there's no way of explaining something like that away.

I think my national legislature would be willing to see their wages garnished for the next few years in order to pay for, say, 150 Tornadoes at the price we privately agreed upon, plus additional funds for the temporary loan of qualified pilots.
Confidential: I leave it to you whether they should enter the combat theater immediately or be held in reserve in Liberia-Schilgovia for a later, decisive strike.

In all honesty I had no figures at the time of writing on how much the Tornado cost.

150 Tornados are being produced currently. They'll be ready within 2 NS days. Also- the evacuees from the conflict are being trained as Pilots.
Thanks for your custom.

A capital plan!
And I'll be willing to pay more in time, taking into account the raised cost of production--I'm sure we can work out an installment plan.

We agreed you would receive them at...subsidised...rates. Therefore we shall honour that agreement.
