"Hello, I am Judy Hudson. We are receiving word that Shalrirorchian President Tarumigan Gistarai has been shot by an unknown attacker while leaving his vehicle to go to a speech. We have some video feed coming in now..."

[A limo pulls up to the curb of the Shalcoria National Theatre, surrounded by Secret Service SUVs. After the G-men secure the area, President Gistarai and Vice-President Dean exit the vehicle.]

REPORTER 1: Mr. President! Mr. President! Do you have any reaction to Senator Wright's allegations that your Administration has been pandering contracts to the AEGIS Corporation?"

GISTARAI: "Edward Wright is just interested in being President. The Attorney General's investigation has been fairly conclusive."

REPORTER 2: "Mr. President, does that mean you are calling the Senator a liar?"

GISTARAI: "No, I didn't say that. What I mean to say is.."

[gunshots erupt. President Gistarai is obviously hit and falls backwards against his escort. He is pulled back into the limo by a bloody VP Dean, and the vehicle shrieks off as people run for cover.]

"The President has been shot! Judy, the President was hit in the chest by some gunfire....the Secret Service is fanning out everywhere."

"I repeat, the President has been shot. We are unsure of his condition, but he was clearly hit in the video, potentially quite seriously."

Update:

The U.S.S. Executive Branch has been thrown into chaos. President Gistarai is reported to be in critical condition at Verdermann Air Force Base Hospital outside of the capital of Shalcoria. Vice President John Dean's condition is unknown, but he has not taken over presidential authority up on Capitol Hill yet, raising fears of an emergency government crisis in Shalrirorchia.

The Global Islamic Army takes joy in knowing that the infidel President lies near death, for the Hand of God has come to punish Shalrirorchia for its' unholy occupation of the Arkady Islands. This is only one of many such attacks to be waged with our guns on the U.S.S.

For too long have the enemies of freedom ruled over these lands. We will take what is ours! No imperialist army will stand in our path! We will fight until all are free!

The USS Division responsible for securing the Arkady Islands has come under attack by GIA forces. The GIA has managed to steal some of our Mobile Construction Vehicles and is waging battle on Arkady's northern frontier. USS forces are in full retreat across the frontier, falling back towards the more heavily populated cities of the interior.

The colony of Sweet Highland would be glad to help your nation in this time of need. We can send 2,000 troops , 80 jets and 60 bombers. If there is an ocean aroudn your nation we can send in some naval forces.

Vice-President John Dean has been sworn in as provisional president of Shalrirorchia.

"The USS will not tolerate the actions of the Islamic separatist movement in Arkady any longer!" Dean thundered in Congress. "We call upon our friends in the world community to assist us in destroying the terrorist networks in Arkady Province once and for all! As of today, I am ordering two divisions of USS troops, over 100,000 men, to move into the province and pacify it."
