Recently, a small astreroid struck the nation of Kongola, right into the heart of their capital city, devistating that nation. Teams of scienstists from all across the globe gathered in Kongola after they reported a strange and mysterious "goo"-like substance coming from the asteroid and forming growing puddles. They said it was quite acidic.

This started many older nations, as it sounded very similar to a foreign substance called "Acigoo". After hours of work, these scientists came up with one answer: It is Acigoo.

This substance, which first arrived on Earth many years ago, came on a comet, and devistated hundreds of nations, killing millions of civilians and military alike.

The Acigoo grew rapidly, terraforming even the driest of places, and eatting away at anything it touched. It also started creating creatures. First, single-celled, then more and more complex until, within a few weeks, we were seeing cavemen-like creatures and dragon-like creatures that simply slaughtered any and all humans.

Many nations decided to take some for their selfs, for "experiments" or weapons, many of them seeing their nation completely destroyed by the Acigoo and/or a coalition of nations trying to return it.

There is no weapon that can kill off Acigoo. Nuclear attacks will only strengthen it, making it grow faster and become stronger. The same goes for the creatures when it comes to nuclear attacks. It takes anywhere from 5-20 men to kill one creature. We found that out the hard way.

We were finally able to get it out via a portal created by the (space) nation of Bajon. (I think... if it's not Bajon, please correct me!) Of course, some nations still had it, and we had to get rid of it by sending it into space.

We thought it was over. We all thought it was gone. We were right - until now. It had returned on an asteroid. We are again faced with inevitable losses in the millions. But, that would be nothing if we do not resist this and kill it, for if we don't? It will take over, and kill every last living thing native to Earth. It will be like living hell. Earth will be turned into a true Hell Pit.

We must fight this Acigoo. We must destroy it!

OOC: Another tid bit of info is that it eats through all material - meaning nothing can hold it - including glass. It continually grows and grows, expanding. Adding a base to Acigoo won't kill the stuff, or even stop it. It simply repells it. Islands won't keep it from spreading. Any electro-magnetic fields won't hold it.

We now call all nations to give their all, and help us as we will begin to enforce a blockade of the infested nation. We propose that with sufficient force, nothing will be allowed to leave once it has entered until we are sure that the Acigoo threat is contained or destroyed. Again.

We call upon all nations to join with us in preventing ANOTHER Acigoo disaster, once we have sufficient support we will begin our blockade, every day that goes by is another day that a sample of the material could be smuggled out, or escape from containment."

Phalanix is ready to launch any attacks required to recover any acigoo taken from the imapct zone. If it is not returned and we find you have some military action will occure if it is not returned. Due to the massive threat it poseses it is urgent that any of it is returned and that we are ready to risk war to return it.

Oh, and a note. If this is a Modern-Tech only RP, the bombers are launching from my colony in Antartica. If this is a Future-Tech only RP, the bombers are space-capable, and launching from one of my many Orbital Constructs. If this is all-tech, they're from the Antartica colony.

The PSN Fire Storm and the PSN Hell Striker were deploying dropships and fighters. Since it was proven this was acigoo they would have to secure the area at all costs. Below the dropships were landing in any safe area posible and the troops inside began to set up defensive postions mostly with the VBR-2's that were being launched and the odd Mac-II G.

I remember hearing about this Acigoo, although I stayed away from it... Interesting... Perhaps I should hop into the thread...

OOC: Red Tide2, plz don't wreck the RP with this "Trinium" being able to hold Acigoo, or others will just start saying "Oh, I got Trinium so I can store it!" There is no material that can hold... However, if you are next to Kongola (which I'm not sure where they are in RL), then you may have been able to transport it for no more than 30 min or so if it was extremely thick...

We ask that all nations do not attack the Acigoo at this time. We must prepare to fight with the creatures.

Many scientists from ViZion and Phalanix are working around the clock to figure out if there is any way to stop this growth.

Kongtown looks to be a loose within the day or so.

With Acigoo's growth, we expect the whole city, and some surrounding suburbs, will be eaten up and replaced by a rapidly growing Acigoo lake. We have also noticed that it has begun to terraform the area with trees and plants never seen on Earth. Acigoo life has begun.

OOC: I found some info on powerful alkalies, which counteract against acid. It can be found here. Most of it is pretty confusing, but I am almost positive that the Metal Hydroxides are the most powerful alkalies. This could be useful in RP, as it has benifits and disadvanteges.
Benifits:Neutralizes acids. Very powerful.
Disadvanteges: Turns into an acid in water. This could mean that Acigoo, which grows in water, would be affected by Metal Hydroxides.
Use this info only if you want, just thought it was interesting. Here is the site:

Random idea:
Perhaps Acigoo is highly alergic to magic? IE; It instantly dries up and dies at the touch of a magic object? Or maybe its the opposite, magic makes it even stronger, like nukes.

OOC: Sure am. The first site was very vauge about bases, but the second one in the OOC thread was much more specific.

OOC: I personally would prefer this RP goes on for a while before we finally figure out how to kill it off or get rid of it... Like originally, I think this could turn into a long, but fun RP...

Would anti-matter and laser based weapons do anything to it?

My country has been researching into both fields as alternatives to normal weapons, and possibly, though unlikely might be able to stop it.

Of course, since we deal with anti-matter regularly, we have a pretty good idea of what we're doing with magnetic bottles.
