Breaking news.
Following the seuizure of power by Lasatanian armed forces after the death of Governess Yetskora, it was decided by the ruling council that the one-party system should be abolished and that after almost 80-years of dictatorship the people should be free to choose how their country is run.
(OOC: Background to all this will be posted in the future - just feckin busy right now..)
Funding was made available to political parties that could prove a membership total of over 100 members. These parties are now standing for government in the forthcoming election.
In addition to this, the ruling council of Lasatania wishes to invite interested parties to monitor the elections to ensure fairness. Any nations interested in doing so should make their wishes known as soon as is possible.
