Nations of the Galaxy, hear us. After three millenia of opression, the Asrengard hereby declare their independence from the Feazanthian Empire. We have liberated their ships, taken them from our skies, and left the Krouth'ka system - known as the Adonis system in the humans' foul tongue - and fled to a place where we feel safe. We shall no longer be seen as technicians and inventors. No longer shall our young females be slaves for the humans' pleasure, no longer shall our older females be spies and intelligence agents. We seek the support of the intergalactic community in our endeavor to keep our independence, which will undoubtedly be challenged in the coming months and years by our former masters. Thank you.

Queen Jaa'nri Azshara stared up at the crystal-clear night sky of her new world. She could see the captured dreadnought, the now-dubbed NAV Azshara, orbiting the world. She sighed as she lay back in the blue-green grass, her black fur taking in the wind. As the colony was near the planet's equator, she only wore the most minimal of garments. Her advisors had told her that doing so would be a sign of weakness, as garments had not existed in Asrengard society since before the Feazanthian invasion. However, after centuries of threats she just felt safer. As she lay back, a single thought passed through her mind.

FleetCom was in disarray. One of the massive Citizen dreadnoughts - the Unstoppable - had been stolen along with almost a dozen heavy transports. In the wake of the Asrengard queen's leaving, small brushfires of resistance had sprung up across the Inner Empire. The Shadri rebels had become even bolder. If the Asrengard, with their homeworld in the same system as Feazanthia Prime, could reject the Empire's rule, what could stop anyone else from doing so?
Inside the Emperor's War Room, his many advisors were scrambling to keep the agitated monarch pacified.
"Sire," pleaded one of his advisors. "Be reasonable! It's only a dreadnought, and we can easily trace their signal and triangulate it with their jump coordinates."
The Emperor slammed an ancient gold-laced tritanium sword into a wooden table, splitting the antique furniture in two.
"The Asrengard! Our most trusted and pampered race! Nearly equals to us, and they have the audacity to revolt!"
"Sire, it is not as bad as it sounds...only a few million have been reported missing..."
"You fail to mention, servant, that those few are the majority of the Asrend Royal Family and nearly ninety-eight percent of the elite technicians we have in this system! How did they get their hands on one of my ships!?"
"Sire, we have reports that the ship's command A.I. was overpowered...by a..."
"By a...what?"
"A...superior construct." At this, the Emperor swung the ancient blade and severed the servant's head.
"Find...that...dreadnought! Burn whatever forsaken world those rogues have colonized and leave no survivors! The populace will learn what the price for treason is in the Galactic Empire."

Is this intended to be a long-term thing, or will they be readily crushed by your main nation? I've a few possible courses of action in mind for both posibilities.

OOC-Long term. Neo Asrend is going to become for Feazanthia what Neo Mekanta is for Mekanta...only not as evil.

First and foremost, we need some sort of way to hold off the impending Feazanthian invasion. Some sort of planetary defense matrix would be appreciated. Second, our soldiers are completely volunteer and are little more than a planetary militia at this point. We need equipment to train and motivate these soldiers.
However, we especially need tools to quickly create and maintain a large civilization on a nearly uncolonized world. Coordinates are being sent now. Thank you for your help.

The MFP-320 is built around a 500 kilowatt air-breathing microfusion reactor, and posessing a 60 megajoule voltsink capisitor; weapons of this series are typicly rated in the 1-2.5 megajoule energy-on-target range, and can posess all the features of the 330 series(firing modes; plasma('light' targets/area damage), laser(armour-pircing/cutting/sniping), and UV taser('stun'/screw up or outright fry electronics), with a 'clip' of solid reactor mass for operation in vacume, and universal power adapters so that they can double as power generators in the feild). Quality NES construction insures that the weapon can take a substantial beating without harm, while rendering it virtually immune to corrosion. A solid, powerful, reliable and robust weapon, and being based around an air-fed fusion reactor, ammo isn't usually going to be a concern.

Fifteen Citizen-class heavy dreadnoughts - an unprecedented amount of firepower - entered through the tear and began moving towards the rebel-inhabited planet at high speed, their weapons already humming with power. They clearly meant to bombard the world and make it uninhabitable. As the NAV Azshara began to head futilely towards the fleet to stop it, it became evident that the wolf-people would need help...

Meh, either way you've given me an excuse to reveal a secert I've been waiting the last 6 months to RP.

With that momentary warping of chance characteristic of a Kanuckistani displacer drive, reinforcments - a Kanuckistani Superfortress - arrived in high orbit of the Asrend world.

But something - several things - were wrong; it was too big, more modular, with a differing armament, and it's transponder identified it as the UCGV Ethics Gradiant.

Uniphase Armoueies Interversal had a fricking Superfortress!

But wasn't that suposedly illegal?


Moments after apearing, the battle-ready behemoth's FTLi projectors began ramping up, casting their feild of interdiction outwards at half Cee - a full light hour their final goal; entanglment-datanode carrying sensor probes displaced ahead, to provide FTL sensor telemetry despite the FTLi. And in the mean time, two tightbeam transmissions were sent; the first to the Asrend leaders, the sencond to the invaders from Feazanthia.

"Let us try the diplomatic aproach; play along."
