Hainan
03-11-2004, 00:49
The time for war had begun. A massive amount of troops began to mobilize and arm themselves for the biggest war that they have ever been a part of in Hainanese history. The main Commander of the Hainanese Army announced that they would begin their movements in the morning, so for now, everyone should stay alert, in case Euroslavia decides to make a pre-emptive strike. It wasn't likely though. Euroslavia was never known to be the nation that begins the war. They have always been known as solid defenders. This time though, that was going to change. Hainan had specific plans in penetrating Euroslavic defensive lines, and splitting their main force. It was a divide and conquer scenario.

The only way that Hainan was going to be able to push back Euroslavia is if it used overwhelming force in its first attack. The Euroslavians have never lost a war, but as they say, there's always a first for everything.

Millions of Hainanese soldiers poured into the border with Euroslavia. Satellite images showed that Euroslavia was doing the same, in anticipation of a major attack.

In miscommunication, a small battalion of Hainanese troops entered the disputed borders between the two nations, and encountered the Euroslavian armies. The sad thing is, neither wanted to fight the other. The Euroslavians, having outnumbered the small battalion, chose not to fight the lost Hainanese soldiers due to the fact that it wouldn't be a fair fight, and the fact that the individual soldiers didn't actually want to go to war with Hainan. The same goes for Hainanese troops. They don't actually want to go to war with its neighbors, but they cannot refuse to accept the King's orders, therefore, they will listen to him.

The attack would commence tomorrow morning...

Euroslavia

Euroslavia was more prepared for the war than most people had ever thought. The military had already been mobilized for a conflict, although, this wasn't exactly predictable to the Comrade himself. As a matter of fact, this came as a complete suprise to him, the rest of the nation, and the entire world. This was most certainly going to test the military might of Euroslavia under a new regime. Recent arms purchases have occurred, and these arms have been included in the mobilized military, ready to respond to a Hainanese invasion.

Hainan was an arrogant nation. They feel that they can defeat Euroslavia because of the recent revolution. They're trying to take advantage of a nation when it is hypothetically "kicking him when they're down". It is unfortunate that Hainan has no idea that it is about to 'awaken a sleeping giant'. Euroslavia has never fully been involved in a war with a nation of approx. equal or greater population, therefore, has never been able to flex its entire might. It was the perfect time to show the world exactly what are made of.

Thousands upon thousands of troops poured to the border between Hainan and Euroslavia. They were preparing themselves for a defensive war against Hainan, although, when it was time, after a victorious defensive battle, Euroslavia would begin its assault upon Hainan.

Breaking News
The Comrade has announced that the borders between Nikolaos the Great and Euroslavia will be closed. Due to the rising tensions with NtG before the current war erupted, there cannot be any risks taken in insurgents entering the nation, and causing chaos within Euroslavia. It is suspected that Hainan and NtG may create a two-front war with Euroslavia to force us into submission, but it isn't likely that Hainan is willing to cooperate with them.

The next morning had come, despite many objections to it. Time is a force that cannot be stopped for any reason whatsoever. There was the occasional soldier who did not want to go to war, especially with Euroslavia, but the absolute majority of the nation of Hainan wanted to prove themselves among the world as an international power. Defeating Euroslavia would put Hainan as a world power. Now, all that was left was the actual war. Going into this war, the Hainanese troops have an exceedingly high amount of morale, either from the fact that they were highly trained, or the fact that the King of Hainan was actually insane...either way, Hainan had a lot to prove. Euroslavia is seen as a major world power, being in NATO, NWO, and the UMA. Not a single nation out there was seen as an enemy of Euroslavia. That's why the invasion needed to be started. The nation of Euroslavia was seen as diplomatically superior to Hainan, and majority of the world, however, militarily, they are seen as just as powerful as everyone else. They haven't exactly proven themselves as a militaristic nation, having been neutral in many of the recent conflicts.

The military of Hainan awoke in rage. It was time to go to war. Each soldier did what they had to do, to psyche themselves up for a long war, which in the short-run, may not benefit either nation, but the winner, in the long run, would gain considerable profits. The Air Force was prepared to launch their first wave of planes, and missiles were being prepared to target strategic locations within Euroslavia, to cripple their war efforts.

The military commander in Hainan gave a signal to the entirety of the armies mobilized at the border, and at last, the first move was launched. In total, 850 cruise missiles were launched, targetting border factories, camp sites, large cities, and suspected nuclear facilities. Arcadia was one of the few cities targetted, despite the fact that no weapons/factories existed in the nation. Total war was likely to be declared after such an attack upon a massive amount of civilians. It was estimated that millions of men, women, and children would die in the first brutal attack, and only a minimal amount of actual soldiers would be killed. Such is life.

Armored divisions moved out, and began to pound, in the distance, a fortified wall that divided Hainan and Euroslavia, to stop refugees from entering Hainan, during the Euroslavic Revolution. EE-T1 Heavy Tanks lead the movement to destroy this wall, to give Hainan access to Euroslavia. The wall fell quite quickly, as it was composed of recycled resources. Hainan was not a nation to pollute. It was, as a matter of fact, one of the cleanest nations in the world.

Special Ops forces were then prepared to send into Euroslavia, to assassinate the leaders of the nation, in hopes that it would send the 'chain of command' into chaos, leading to an instability and confusion among all of the Euroslavic military. Key leaders were, in hope, to be captured alive, to be used as pawns in the war. The Comrade of Euroslavia was #1.

The first wave of the Air Force had begun its launch.
50- Su-35 Attack Jet's
70-15E Grenadine's
20- 15BEagles
40- Eurofighters
25- F-22 Raptors
30- D-31 Assault Fighters

These were all launched, and began their advance towards the Euroslavic enemy camps, in hopes to bomb them, and send them into all out chaos. Again, the leaders of the Army were being targetted. It was cheap, but it's what'll get things done.
