"This is patrol 6A34A to -"

The channel to mainland Hogsweat cut off as the U2 lost its communications yet again. They had been flying straight for hours, and communcations kept cutting off.

"Not again..."

The co-pilot mumbled.

"Yeah, this time we lost navigation. damnit"

The plane had just crossed blindly over Mexico, Texas, and nearly into Mississippi. As they reached the border, navigation flashed up again as a distorted map of the US popped up. It blinked out again, and back, as the flight path came up on the screen.

"SHIT!"

They were already 15 miles into Mississippi - and no doubt Mississippian Air Traffic Control knew.

They looked out the window and saw six MiG-41s had surrounded themm appearing almost as if out of nowhere, but in reality it was a nearby patrol. The skies were always full of such patrols. The pilot in the MiG-41 to the left of them was signalling with his hand for them to go down, he wanted them to land.

Over the radio, he shouted, "What the hell are you doing! Drop to one thousand feet and prepare to land at the nearby airbase at the following coordinates..."

[OOC, I forgot to mention that my U2s are armed each with 2 AA-8 ATA missies and a 20mm nose cannon, but its not like I can use that...]

"our navigational systems are down. Preparing to drop now"

The U2 flew graciously down to 1100 feet and awaited orders.
Decisive Action
02-11-2004, 21:58
The MiG-41s followed it every inch of the way, staying close to it, keeping their missiles locked onto it the entire time.

On the ground, nearby SA-19 batteries stood ready to knock it out of the sky if something happened.

The pilot of the lead MiG-41 shouted into his radio, "The base is six miles away, at your three o'clock... Exact landing coordinates coming in now... Go there and land..."

At the base, two companies of soldiers were readying around the runway to surround the plane once it landed, and dozens of the bases SAM batteries were ready to down the plane if it deviated from the specified course to take to the base.

The plane dropped and landed, the two pilots breathed deep and awaited their orders.
Decisive Action
02-11-2004, 22:20
The plane was suddenly stormed by a four man assault team. The pilots were both dragged out of the plane and then restrained, blindfolded, and stripped to their shorts and t-shirts before being hauled away to the base jail.

The plane was being torn apart piece by piece to be examined to make sure it wasn't a weapon. This was being done in an underground hangar (we have systems that let the planes be stored 200-400 feet below ground, and we raise them onto the runways when we need them, via giant elevators... we mostly only do this for the advanced MiG-41s)

An interrogation officer from the DISFB walked into the room the two pilots were in, he chuckled, "You two will talk, and talk now..."

They were both sitting in the room, still blindfolded, each now tied to a chair... Suddenly they heard a pistol being cocked as one of the four guards present in the room had been ordered to train his gun on the copilot. The interrogator shouted, "Talk or one of you dies! You won't know which one though!"

One of the men blurted out.
"Chai-Ling, #Y34A2, Pilot"
His friend followed suit.
"Jonothan Williams, #Y34A1, Pilot"
Decisive Action
02-11-2004, 22:45
Each of the men received a swift crushing blow in the stomach from the stock of a rifle from a guard. The guard chuckled after he'd crashed the M-14B rifle's stock into the stomach of one, and then the other.

The interrogator frowned, "You two really must talk, tell me why you were spying on our nation, we could hang you... Spies hang... If you talk, perhaps you'll get off much easier..."
Hogsweat
02-11-2004, 22:51
Jonothan spoke up.
"We weren't here on a routine mission. It wasn't a spying mission. Our navigational systems were down as where our communications. You can look at the plane to see if you don't believe me"

OOC- don't you need to know what nationality they are?

Jonothan spoke up.
"We weren't here on a routine mission. It wasn't a spying mission. Our navigational systems were down as where our communications. You can look at the plane to see if you don't believe me"

OOC- don't you need to know what nationality they are?

Ooc- Yes

IC- The man punched him in the face hard, indeed so hard he spat out blood, "I don't believe you! Tell the truth! SPY!"
Hogsweat
02-11-2004, 23:10
Blood dripped from Jonothan's mouth.

"We aren't spies, I swear. Our plane had its systems scrambled by a pacific storm and we wandered eastwards towards Mississippi. We couldn't get a message off. As i said, communications and navigation where scrambled."
Decisive Action
03-11-2004, 03:25
The man frowned, "Please, don't insult my intelligence, I know you two are spies... And the yellow alone, we could execute him for being non-white and entering Mississippi and you for helping smuggle him... So you'd better confess."
Hogsweat
03-11-2004, 09:00
"I told you, there is nothing to confess to. You can examine the plane and find out"
Decisive Action
03-11-2004, 21:55
The interrogator sighed and then took their blindfolds off to let them see the acid drippers, knives, axes, clubs, and other tools he had neatly placed on a nearby table... He smiled, "You two will talk, what was your operation? What were you spying on?"

Chai blurted some things in Hogsweatian-
"bwcwe dlaxuar! bwcwe!"
Jonothan started to talk.
"We were patrolling this territory on a routine route. Our operation was to observe defenses in Sevarisian Mainland"

[SIC: a lie]
Decisive Action
03-11-2004, 22:16
The man trained his pistol at the Chinese man's knee and fired a round at him, he screamed in pain, but tied to the chair as he was, there was nothing he could do.

The interrogator smashed his fist into the other man's face, "Sevaris is Spain and Portugal, and Maryland... You expect me to believe you got lost by over two thousand miles? I'm not an idiot, you two will both die, and painfully..."

"This is Red Squadron, reporting"

"Crimson Squadron, Reporting"

"Scarlet Squadron, Reporting in"

"Maroon Squadron, Affirming"

"Rouge Squadron, Acknowledging"

There was a whole regiment of Su-37 Super Flankers that had left the pacific base and streaming past Mexico into Texas.

[OOC: He is Hogsweatian, not Chinese]
"We aren't spies damnit! We were en route to check out Sevarisian strength in Maryland, and as I said our systems were scrambled and we got lost"
Decisive Action
03-11-2004, 22:48
The Western Air Defenses already detected the entire Hogswetin flight... Already 200 MiG-41s and 300 F-16Ds were moving to intercept the Hogswetian planes if they attempted to cross into Mississippi... The SA-19 and SA-20 batteries were ready to blast them from the sky.

The Mississippian air commander of the Western Defense Grid radioed the Hogsweatian flight, "Attention Hogsweatian flight, at your present course and heading, you will cross into Mississippi in twenty minutes, deviate now, change course... Do not, repeat, do not attempt to cross into Mississippi..."

At the base, the interrogator sighed, "Are you two sure you're not spies?"
Hogsweat
03-11-2004, 22:53
"Yes! If we were, we would have launched our missiles at your planes and hopefully taken one down with us, bailed out, and evacuated. its standard procedu-"
He cut himself off.

"This is Red Leader to Mippississi? How do you say it?"

"Red leader, thats Mipississy."

"'Course Red 5. This is Red Leader of Hogsweatian Patrol Foxtrot to Mippississian Air Control. We are deviating our course in ten minutes."
Decisive Action
04-11-2004, 19:07
Air command: "You will deviate your course now..."

As they were talking, the flight detected a massive movement of MiG-41s towards them. They knew the MiG-41s carried AIM-15 Kluxer missiles, and the range was at least 90-120 miles depending on certain conditions.

At the base, the interrogator sighed and handed the flight leader a phone, "Here, call your people, tell them what happened, we're going to send you back.. We don't have time to be bothered with idiots from other nations."
Hogsweat
04-11-2004, 19:10
"Negative, Mippississian Air Control. We are deviating course in approximately seven minutes as of regulated patrol procedure."

===
Jonothan made the call to Hogsweatian Ministry of Defense.

"Yeah... systems crashed. Mississippi. Yeah, Mississippi. I dunno. Yeah. Okay"
He turned the phone off.
"They said they would send a plane to land on the Mississippian border in two hours."
Decisive Action
04-11-2004, 19:15
The leader of the MiG-41s chuckled, "Hogsweatian forces, you have until the count of twenty to deviate from your course, or we will shoot down your entire flight. Surely you know the capabilities of your own craft, missiles, and pilots pale in comparison to the mighty MiG-41 Fighter Corps, yes?"

The MiG-41s all started to achieve locks and readied to fire the AIM-15 Kluxer missiles.

At the base, the interrogator frowned as he told the man, "Tell your people if their planes don't alter course, they'll all be shot down..."

5,4,3,2,1-

"ALL UNITS ENGAGE!"

The Su 33's fired a salvo of H-25MPs that had been previously locked and prepped, just before banking directly and spinning away from combat at top speeds towards the pacific.
Decisive Action
04-11-2004, 20:13
Ooc- Do you have range? They go from being Su-37 Flankers to Su-33s in just one post? Odd, to say the least...

The MiG-41s went to mach 4.2, maximum speed, and simply outraced most of the missiles, or out-maneuevered them, however a few unlucky planes were hit due to pilots being unable to maneuver fast enough. Consequently, about twenty pilots were either blown to pieces or had to bail out. The rest of the flight immediately fired their AIM-15 kluxer Missiles, the missiles raced towards the Hogsweatian aircraft at mach 5. Each of the 180 MiG-41s left in the flight had fired 4 missiles in rapid succession, as they flew forward towards the Hogsweatian aircraft.

Mississippi radioed Louisianan batteries and requested they open fire on the Hogsweatians.

Meanwhile, the news of the attack reached the airbase...

The interrogator drew his pistol and pointed it directly at the head of the man in question, "Your nation has shot down some of our fighters, you will explain this at once..."

"Red Leader to all units, respond, repeat, respond!... RESPOND!"

Red Leader glanced down to his radar - before approximately 44 yellow dots were floating in formation. As he glanced now, there were two. Two.

"Repeat, do you respond!"

"Red Leader, this is Scarlet Eight, we respond!"

"Red Leader, this is Maroon Two, we copy"

Red Leader peered out, banking his craft left. Nearly sixty planes were dropping to the ground like flies.
Holy Shit
My god. What had happened? Thoughts raced through his mind. His family. His wife, his children.

"Red Leader to all units, we are withdrawing, repeat withdrawing. Fucking hurry!"

"Copy that Red Leader, over and out!"

"Red Leader, that is a negative. We are not retreating. Go now."

"What the hell are you talking about? You don't stand a chance!!"

"And neither do you, if you don't go. Hurry. It's been a pleasure serving with you."

"God bless you, Maroon Two."

Red Leader, Captain Brian Hayes, stifled a tear. The Two Super Flanker's
[OOC: Sorry for that] zoomed out, leaving Maroon Two to swiftly change course, releasing his remaining missiles and going for a MiG 41 with his cannon. He opened a comm line to the Mississippian Air Group.
"I thought you Mississippians had honour. If you want to retain that honour, then de-lock your missiles. Let's do this the old fashioned way."

====
Those idiots. They've gone and done it.
"Its standard procedure."
Jonothan flinched slightly as the barrel went right into his face.
"They send a regiment of air-craft to engage hostiles if our plane was shot down. We haven't reported in for hours."

The Mississippian Foreign Ministry sent a letter to Hogsweat:

"What is going on? Are you attempting to attack us? Stand down now and we will do likewise..."

In the air, the MiG-41s had all broken off, except for the commander, Colonel Herman Von Thaller... He readied his 20mm Fabus Munitions A-12-LW (Light Weight) Cannon with 4,000 rounds (caseless ammunition) and headed for the Hogsweatian leader...

The Hogsweatian leader recognized the music Thaller played into the radio, "Ride of the Valkeryies" he knew it was Herman Von Thaller "the Ace" the man who had flown a solo flight over Egypt and Libya and downed no less than one-hundred and forty enemy fighters and interceptors, all in one aerial engagement. He was an ace with his cannons.

Thaller chuckled into the radio, "I'm running out of room on my plane's body and wings to mark my kills, but I can squeeze you in."

Ooc- about him
Colonel Herman Von Thaller (36) The most well known and the greatest fighter ace in DA. Has 394 aerial kills to his credit and 618 kills if you include aircraft he’s destroyed that were on the ground (224). He is a dashing, daring, adventurous, and handsome “Fly boy”. He has taken part in the war in Egypt, Libya, and he flew aerial cover for the C-130s in the UWA operation. He also is the one who usually commands the squadron defending the Czar’s private jet. His nickname is “Hans” (Nobody really remembers how he got his nickname, but he is friends with Hans Kaltenbrunner, and people always got them mixed up, so now people just call both of them Hans because it is easier) In one battle Thaller shot down 8 MiG-29s, 8 Mirage F1s, 4 F-16s, 4 F-14s and 112 MiG-21s. He was until recently always in his custom F-16D that was painted to look like a threatening shark. His usual armament was 1000 rounds for the 20mm cannon, and 12 or 24 AIM-120 AA missiles. Now he is more often than not in a custom MiG-41 Good Ole Boy. He is currently the leader of the Volunteer Guard (has been since 1986) and he is also the Chief of The Federal Air Force. 6’2, 182lbs. Brown hair, green eyes. IQ 157.

[He ain't a leader. Its Maroon Two.]

The pilot, Marki Wilonsky, recognised the tune. Ride of the Valkyries...

He squeezed the trigger, keeping the 20mm nose cannon on target with the Ace's plane as he banked left and right.

Thaller fired his 20mm cannons at the approaching plane right before he dove to the side.

OOC: He didn't. He went straight for him.

Marki powered down his engines by 80%, dropping straight down and powering back up again, the G-Force straining him.
Decisive Action
04-11-2004, 21:37
Thaller powered down to 1/2 Mach as he continued to blaze away with his cannons, he then attempted an upside down loop so he could get behind the plane that was currently in front of him and finish him off.
