In a huge civil rights upset today, President-General Mitchell Craig enacted the "White Codes" with absolutely no approval from Congress or the Consul. These "White Codes" will summarily oppress the whites of The Burnsian Desert, restricting voting and property rights. It should be noted that Pres.-Gen. Craig's ethnicity is Native Burnsian. Several civil watchdog groups have rased a raging debate...

Dear Burnsian Desert,

It has been some time since we have last spoken, and as Anagonia has concentrated more on itself over these past few years, we have no placed an eye on the International Scene. Fortunatly, we come to find that one of our Closest Allies, The Burnsian Desert, has a Leader in position. However, unfortunatly, we come to find out that a certian...decision....has been made about ethic groups within the Nation itself.

This new bill is a disappointment to Burnsian/Anagonian relations, and hampers, if still in place, the Good-Will of our....Good Relations of sorts. While we respect that The Burnsian Desert is a Sovreign Nation, we cannot respect this "Oppression" apon its people. For, from our experience, we know there ARE better ways to go about this, even in some sort of civil unrest.

Dear Burnsian Allies,

After further review over your bill, it has become apparent that no relation strains are needed between our two Great Nations. While we acted prematurely in our effort to ensure no....genocide of any sort would ensue, we apologize for our lack of understanding in this issue and will now declare ourselves neutral until otherwise stated in future notices.

Hm... one can only advise that if you wanted to stop racism from white people to other minorities (or majorities as they may be in your nation) you shouldn't go about oppressing white people in order to stop them from doing it again. Should the tide turn again you could be looking at greater racism and as such these actions would only be furthering the racial hatred between these ethnicities.

We would personally advise that you instead head towards a program of education and social engineering to totally eliminate racism as we once did in Iuthia to great effect... the only racists we have now are those of tourists and immergrants who soon find their opinions to be incorrect in the Iuthian society.

While we reckognise your nations has the right to run itself in this manner, we cannot reckognise this method as anything more then revenge and not social reform for the better. This said, such actions are no different from those of Decisive Action, who has discriminated against non-whites for some time and even protested against a non-white Iuthian ambassador, though we are pleased that they accepted her in the end.

As such, seeing as this is not the only case of racial discrimination in the world we would find it unacceptable for nations to react to this case only and claim that their intentions are against racism. It would be a obvious lie in our opinion as other nations has been discriminating against non-whites for some time... to react to only racism against whites in one nation and to ignore it in another would be discrimination in itself.

Any nation going to war over this matter alone will be concidered for black-listing from Iuthian trade and will be condemned for their war-like approach to ever problem. We will concider working with TBD to resolve this sitation, but at no time is war on the table

OOC: I was interested in what you would post. The problem with education and social reform, if I know anything about the stuff they do at school, is that they try to make it interesting, but the genre of the stuff just doesn't capture the people's attention. Another thing is that there is a deep-rooted sense in the human psyche (sp?) that change is bad. This is an inhibitor in itself.

So this is easier for me.

OOC: Hehe, you don't know how durastic Iuthia's methods actually are if compared to that of a normal western society. Generally it's nothing as sensitive as what you may have heard about in school... Iuthia's methods generally rely on indoctination and disapline, followed by education and so on...

It takes a while and it isn't popular to start out with, but ultimately if you want to get rid of racism you will have to change how people think, stop racism before it sets in (you'll find it's something often taught by parents and the society around them). By damn near re-educating people and removing those elements it should eventually, in my opinion, remove racism over several generations. Of course, Iuthia has a different problem caused by our methods... afterall, indoctrinating a people to think in a certain way can do other things. Iuthian's a mildly xenophobic to outsiders, people who haven't been brought up in the Iuthian way are not trusted as much because they are outsiders from a society which isn't as "enlighted".

The Holy Imperial Empire of Belem is officialy condemning the rogue nation of The Burnisian Desert. The empire finds it amazing how a country can be so foolish and post restrictions on the most productive race in human history.

In order to stave off the almost certain dark age TBD will soon experience the Imperial Empire of Belem is demand that The Burnisan desert immediately repeal this "white code" within 24 hours if not the Imperial Empire will repeal them for you.

Meanwhile in Belem cargo and transport planes begin taking off heading towards forward bases in Hans with supplies and logistical and support troops.

As head of the Secret Service, he was indeed a clever man, and it didnt take him long to understand what was happening. When he was advised by the action being taken by Belem and Hogsweat, he was rather dissapointed, much like the President who at that very moment was due to send a letter to the Burnsian Desert.

"Well David," he replied after the briefing, "Obviously the President has shown no desire to actually go to war, although he is rather dissapointed in the General of the Burnsian Desert. I for my opinion, agree with the President on this one. A war is far too messy and unneeded. In fact, I really wish Belem wouldnt be attempting this invasion."

Dave nodded, "Indeed Mister Chuban, but as the old saying goes; them's the apples we got, them's the apples we eat."

Michael chuckled, for he was quite familiar with the saying, "Anyhow, Belem's reactiveness has made any operations by us much simple. What has the President shown desire of?"

Dave skimmed the sheet he held in his hands, "It says specifically sir that he has noted that the General and his collegues are the main source of power within that nation, making an invasion completely out of the question. Therefore I suggest we take a passive, yet active approach to this problem."

Dave smiled, "I suppose I can guess what kind of role that would mean for us..."

Chuckling, Michael began to detail carefully what he had in mind. As yet, the plans needed to have the President's approval, but until the proposition was going to be written officially, he could only imagine the possibilities which stood around him. He's got a strip of beach and a city. No waters. And you'll have to get those ships through mined waters, infested with subs (attack and boomer). Also, there is a Regional Defence Organization that my region operates. They have naval forces in my area.

The CICWS (Commonwealth Intelligence Command Western Sahara) was readying their best assassin to go to the meeting as an assistant to the delegate Governor Stahlecker was sending. The man had a small amount of explosives in a pen, he'd make sure Craig picked up the pen, or he'd slip it into his jacket pocket when he wasn't paying close attention, the pen would go off three seconds after being clicked.

Your military doesn't scare me. If you think 2,000,000 soldiers is one division, well then you have no command and control structure and your men are going to be messed up seriously. A division is between 18,000- no more than 40,000, with some exceptions. But 2,000,000. LOL! A Divisional HQ can't handle that much, and the organic support units can't handle it, let alone organic transport.

And who the heck send Military police into battle unless absolutely necessary? And why are you still using T-72s and M-60s? Why do you still even have T-55s around? They have no use except for target practice.

Heck, why are you still using Abrams? (Check my store, link in signature) I produce the T-98, T-99, and T-98W, they can destroy an Abrams before the Abrams can even see them.

You need to seriously rethink that stuff. IM or TG me and I'll help you make a good, decent, realistic, armed forces. If you want my assistance that is.

Anywho, I REALLY need to update my Armed Forces...soooooo.....perhaps other fellow NationStates people can help too? Hmmm....

We condemn this new law and all that. Really, in Callisdrun, there is a saying. "You cannot fix the sins of the fathers by killing the sons." While we recognize that it was wrong for "whites" (We don't like to use that term in Callisdrun, and do so only with much cringing) to oppress the Burnsien Natives, we also are firmly against any reverse discrimination. What is being done to whites is wrong, and eerily similar to things that happen in Mississippi under the Fabus family. Needless to say, we are very disappointed.

While we strongly urge you to repeal this dubious piece of legislation, we offer our assurences that we do not plan to make a war out of our disagreement. Unless of course, discrimination turns to genocide. We hope that will not happen, though. We wish you the best of luck in your seemingly inevitable confrontation with Belem.

The divisions have finished offloading at Hogsweat port facilities and most of the support structure has arrived via transport plane. The divisions are moving to forward staging areas for ground operations at hogsweat TBD border.

The fleet is postioned 50 miles north of Hans still well out in international waters. ASW choppers and Tracker ASW ships establish an active sonar buoy perimeter 20 miles around the fleet to ward off sub attacks.

25% of the fleets air force is in the air on cap. A total of 320 aircraft are on patrol half are Vampire Air superiority fighters(a slightly more advanced F22) and a Tiger Shark Multirole fighter(basically a f 35)

7 Submarine Wolfpacks consisting of 10 Lupine attack subs each are being deployed to the area to help establish a stronger sub perimeter.

4 EMP satelites are being thrust into position over TBD into a geosync orbit.

Al-Kafar II attack submarines are poised to attack any and all military vessels that come within 20 miles of Burnsian soil. They are equipped with Luna SSMs, which I'm sure you're familiar with.
