The Hammer's Fall
Within Tarenteor palace, a lone gaurd leaned idly next to the door. There wasn't much in the way of palace security mostly due to the fact that Taren was in the palace. Anything that decided to bust in and attack him soon found itself on the floor in small pieces. Of course, the gaurd had expected some action, but more from the women in the harem than that of the sabot round that hit his head and splattered the back of the wall with cranial matter liquified by shattered chunks of bone. Pulling the gun down, Jaedrn stepped into the hallway leading to Tarenteor's room.
Formerly a Ridgian noble, Jaedrn had been disowned and shipped off to the Corrend colonies after refusal to join the JJRUSF. Given his former position, he had been chosen to strike the first blow for Corrend. Corrend itself had chosen to strike due to its mistreatment at the hand of Tarenteor and Jangle Jangle Ridge as a whole.
Jaedrn checked for cameras again, before walking straight up to the door and opening it. Instantly, Tarenteor leaped from the door and pinned Jaedrn down, his claws going straight through the shoulder bones, and into the cement floor. "What, did you think I wouldn't hear you shoot my fucking gaurd? What kind of dumbass are you?" Jaedrn smiled maniacly, and his finger squeezed the button in his hand, "I'm not the dumbass here..." Space warped, cracking the walls and ceiling, before wrapping around the pair. The hallway collapsed, and they were gone.
From within the colonies of Corrend and Jangaria, a message was sent to all, "We have long lived under the oppression of Jangle Jangle Ridge, but now we have hit back at our pitiful "Masters", and they have stumbled. Now you see how weak they are. We have Tarenteor, and we will soon have those others beasts in our hands, where we will crush them all. If we must, we will do it alone, but those who assist us will be fighting for freedom! All allies will be given a share of land upon our success."
OOC: Yes, Jangaria and Corrend are JJR puppets. Anyways, fight for who you want to. ESUS members could technically fight for either, but I think most would be on my side. Anyway, hope this gets interesting, and sorry for the sucky post. I'm tired, m'kay?

From one of the deep space sensor bouys, a recieved signal was boosted, and sent towards Pluto.
The MCC had been a hive of activity recently, with the AoN fracas dominating tactical analysis. One of the silent monitors turned on, a red glow showing its import.
Several hours later, one of the techies noticed the screen, and informed the correct authorities, which then called a quick meeting of the castes. Padshah Yang-chen II was in attendance, as usual, and the usual domineering warrior caste were kept in check by the religious caste, but more so, they were kept in check by the bureaucratic caste. Meetings such as this were never fruitful, and they had already gone over the situation in minute detail. What decided it was simplicity itself. There were rebels, and there was the official government. The official government would be supported, as rebellion cannot be endorsed, unless they were a paying client. Standards had to be maintained. In the end, nothing was solved, and the meeting ended, everyone a little more confused, and none the wiser.
Two messages were sent out. One to the colonies, and one to the government of JJR:
"We of the Jordaxian religious caste strongly support the right of the colonies to have their independence. We speak for the entire Jordaxian government when we say so. We can supply much in the way of monetary and physical resources, and perhaps even provide certain armed support, should you desire it. Please respond so that we may continue these dealings."
"The Jordaxian warrior caste is insulted by these colonials! We speak for the entire Jordaxian government when we say so. The might of the Jordaxian navy, as much as we can spare, will be at your disposal, as well as any monetary and physical supplies that we can muster. We hope you will respond rapidly to our message. It has been too long since we last gave our ships some target practice."

With both the Withers deployed agains the AoN threat, along with the majority of the fighter swarms, and the MYTH prototypes still being worked on, there was not much Shadow Tech could do. It therefore sat idly in this foreign affair for now, ready as ever to make a quick grab for territory if the situation presented itself.
Jaedrn, now the hero and figurehead of the colonies, recieved the message as he lay in his hospital bed, his shoulders bandaged. A secretary typed his dicatation. "We would be honored to have your support. Secondly, we are glad your people are so unanimously willing to support us. Any support you can give us will speed our breaking of Jangle Jangle Ridge."

With the near total destruction of the CF star fleet and armed forces in general, there was naught that Admiral Halsey nor the CF government in exile could do except pray for the stability of the JJR government.

In Jangle Jangle Ridge, chaos reigned. Only the core planetary systems held, and those only shakily kept together by Sallah, Tarenteor's sister, and the Devoted soldiers. However, throughout JJR, the demonic population had been fighting against the small amounts of humans still living in JJR. The demons claimed that Corrend was only fighting because the human businessmen wanted JJR land, and that they would still have thier leader if it wasn't for the humans. This caused riots, murders, and even total anarchy on some planets.
Meanwhile, the colonies were gathering forces and technology. Slave raids on outer planets gave the scientists subjects to experiment on, and sometimes materials. What money the colonies had was used to pay for pirates and mercs. And deep in the colonial capital, Tarenteor sat locked in five by five cage, gnawing on the detached arm of a guard...

The religious/bureaucratic caste of Jordaxia was a powerful entity. Having influence on every single aspect of Jordaxian life, bar one specific entity. The warrior caste. Even so, they were really overstretching their bounds, and they knew it. Support for the rebellion was far from unanimous, and the warrior caste wholesale supported the current government, although they hadn't went as far as to declare their support in writing. Once they had recieved the reply from the rebels, their collective worry went into overdrive. They didn't want to have their hand forced, but they'd called it upon themselves. Their decision was hasty and foolish. They should have anticipated a strong backing of the true government by the warrior caste. They were indoctrinated into believeing authority over any other source of information, it was an inevitability. Nevertheless, they had promised assistance, and they were honour bound to keep that promise, no matter what. They should be able to fund extensive mercenery hiring, after all, the Jordaxian sphere of influence was a lawless place. Everyone knew about Varuna, the pirates headquarter planetoid. Making contact would be a simple business. Actually paying for them would also be simple. The multitude of faiths in Jordaxia largely managed to pay for themselves and generate a tidy profit. Since the bureaucratic caste was merged with the religious, all the financial irregularities of corporations working in Jordaxia, whether those irregularities existed or not, was exposed to them. They would be able to equip who they hired with the best items available. Convenient, but nothing compared to the brute military capability of the warrior caste, which was admittedly diluted with widespread hiring and warmongering elsewhere. Even their powered armour suits were largely gone, having only 144,000 out of a total of 396,000 remaining at their disposal. The high ups in the caste promised to themselves never to react so hastily again. The was returned, but it did not bear the news they hoped it would. Deliberately newsless, in fact, it merely said
"We are glad that you accept our help. Jordaxia defends the righteous. We shall be in contact again."
Planning for the first war in the history of the religious caste began.

On the outer world of Dezzoth, as makeshift weapons began to fall from the sky. Orbs of depleted uranium fell to the earth, creating huge craters on impact. Government facilities and factories were the only buildings left intact. The JJR nationals were rounded up, and brought to the work camps. From that group the humans were sent to slave pits, and the demons were sent to the experimental chambers. Soon Corrend would have something to combat the fearsome supersoldiers of JJR.

The gore-soaked claws wavered in front of the creature’s eyes, as the brain began to slowly rewired and assimilate the cybernetic components forced upon them. A twist of the neck revealed what little remained of the technicians, scientists, and guards. Bullets began to ping off the natural carapace, and the organic mind shut down again…
