The 456 men and women sat in their compound surrounded by barbed wire on a beach in the Southern USN. The compound, heavily guarded by the USN Republic Guard, had been their home for several weeks as the justice system decided their fates. The group, made up of roughly 250 left wing extremists (communists, anarchists, etc) and 200 right wing extremists (nazis, fascists, etc) had been accused of one of the worst crimes in the USN....Treason. News had just arrived from New Nick City, all 456 had been found guilty. But they were lucky, as an election had just gone down in the USN President Mills was in a good mood. He commuted their sentences from death to banishment. Now the USN was looking for places to put these traitors.

Admiral Thomas stood on the bridge of the battlecruiser Mauler as it sat in the middle of the fleet, to his left were the navy's mighty battleships along with the smaller frigates and destroyers... to his right were the carriers protected by the fleet's cruisers. They weren't to move inside USN waters yet, but he did not want to just waltz in, he turned around and ordered that drones be launched ahead, to make sure that no USN vessels were lurking outside of his ship's radar range.

It was 1:00 AM, Pitchblack out. On the carriers the planes began to get ready to bomb military instilations and cruise missles to hit military bases,

The F-16's and JAS 45 Eagle's began to take off, There targets where south USN military bases.

Bombers slowly cam over and unlashed there bays clanking as bombs began to fall on military targets over northern USN B1-B’s also started to bomb massive rains of ordnances and high yield explosives began pouring down in to military positions bases and air fields as well as guided in to AA installations .
Off shore ships began to fire missiles and shells republics and there massive missiles and guns started to pour every thing they had hundreds of cruise missiles and shells traveling at hyper sonic speeds homed in on coastal fortifications and land bases. Fighter bombers began to swoop down and attack with guided bombs and missiles all enemy targets in an area of 20 miles of the coast

The planes, Began reaching there targets. The bombs dropped gracefully as they all prayed to come back in one piece.

The cruise missiles began to launch, They headed for there targets as the men aboard the ships watched closefully and applauded.

While the SD Allies started to take presicion bombing the Heavy SD bombers went into action. They were dispatched to bomb USN Cities and destroy the USN moral...

Most major cities in the USN were in flames. It seemed the nations attacking the USN (FOR NO REASON) had no respect for human life whatsoever. Innocent civilians died right beside the brave soldiers of the USN. No one was predicting casualities, as they were simply too high at the moment to count. But the USN would not og down without a fight. While diplomats in the capital begged for peace with the attackers, soldiers and generals were fighting. AA guns opened up across the USN shooting down any plane that could not be identified. Citizens were ordered to shelters until the bombing had ended and a draft was being implemented to defend the nation.

They would conduct HALO drops to avoid detection by USN forces and neutralize enemy SAM sites and AA vehicles and guns.

The Fighters were lauched to clear the beach. Battleships started to bombard coastal areas.. The landing crafts were ready to attack.

9 planes went down, The pilots of the planes didnt make it. The remaining planes headed back to the carriers, to rearm and head out for more strikes.

A tall, Thin man with grey hair stood infront of officers telling them the invasion plan "Here is the south, This is what we and the Swedish Domionions will be invadeing. This is vital to him, And us it MUST be taken!" he told them, They all sat and nodded "Yes sir" they told him.

Cruise missiles kept fireing, Then they began to shell the south shores to prepare for the invasion and hopefully take out military strcutures in the area.

8 B52 Bombers were shot down. The rest returned to the nearest Swedish Colony for refueling and rearmament. The Coastal bombardment intensified and more Fighters were dispatched.

The men began to enter the transports, When they all did. They began to move out... The vehicles began to start the process of loading into other transports. By now the soldiers were ahead by far.

Angry crowds were gathering outside the Presidential home, where the President was meeting with advisors. Mills, whom had just been re-elected in a landslide, was nervous and knew his end was near as President. He could either be overthrown or resign with a bit of dignity. He thought of the decision as he looked out his window and saw bombed out buildings and the angry crowd. As he sighed at the site a bullet broke through the window missing Mills by a couple inches. The Swedish Forces didn't meet resistance on the beach which confused them.. they could easily walk and enstablish a beachhead.

The troops recieved more orders, Shoot USN citizens on sight. They liked that order alot... The transports reached there area the men stormed out to the beach, Craters from the shells could be seen so they didnt think resistance would be high but they ran anyway.

"Establish a beach HQ!" a officer shouted, several radiomen rushed to his position, A tent was being set up. Minutes later the armor and vehicles arrived.. They rolled off there transports the crews stunned no dead FL soldiers they thought "what the..."

The Soldiers started to advance inland... they expected USN Resistance. They looted and terrorised the countryside..

The troops advanced, The tanks moving with them. They reached a small town, The tanks began fireing at the structures and the soldiers fireing at the houses. As they cursed randomlly.

Captain Jenkins, commander of the four Aequatian Special Forces fireteams that landed in USN mustered his squad together in an abandoned house along a highway leading into a major city, the fires from the bombing raids lit up the night sky with an eerie, orange glow.

"All right, people, this countries going down the toilet and news over the horn says that the other nation's forces are going to start killing indescriminately, civies and soldiers," explained the Captain, "Command can't bring in any birds to pull us out since they could get mistaken for enemy choppers and shot down, but they haven't ordered us to continue with our mission."

The Weapons Sergeant looked up from the map, "So what does that mean, Cappy?"

"It means we need to find our own way our of here," said Jenkins as he pointed to the second fireteam's technician, "O'Riley... find us some transportation, we need to get to one of the landing beaches so we can get a ride back to the fleet."

"Roger that, Cappy," replied the technician as he went outside with another soldier in search of any working vehicles.

The Soldiers of the Empire didn't show mercy to anyone... children and women fell victim for the advance... Many Swedish soldiers were killed by angry housewifes..

The 20 Helicopter assault ships launched 35 choppers apiece. Two out of seven were troop transports headed for the beaches. The other 500 were Super Cobra attack helicopters and headed quickly towwards the enemy fleets while the subs protecting the other ships broke off and shot a single torpedo each under an enemy fleet's screening vessels. But these were no ordinary torpedoes, no these were fleet killers. They were specially designed to detonate a nuke under the enemy vessel, creasing a large gas bubble that will float upwards towards the ship. This gas bubble wouldmake the ship drop to the bottom of the bubble and the water would jump up on deck, sinking her instantly.

The boomers, land based nuclear missiles, and nuclear bombers also launched their payload. These nukes would end up on the enemy homelands, targeting their nuclear capabilities first, then their Air Force, then their Naval bases, and finally the remaining Army and other infantry bases. Almost nothing could survive the intense destruction each salvo could do.

Satellites in orbit focused their lasers (thanks to Weyland's crystals) and fired on the enemy landing craft and CPs. This would destroy them without any opposition.

A group of 200 USN citizens were waiting for advancing soldiers from the Swedish Dominion. They hid among the brush and in a nearby forest as the soldiers of the advancing army began to march by the hidden positions. With a loud war cry from the leader of the group the angry citizens rose from their positions opening fire on the soldiers passing by. With their damage done, the USN citizens rushed from the area. The government might have given up but the citizens would not. The guerilla warfare resistance had begun.

O'Riley was lying on his back, ripping wires out of the bottom of a medium cargo truck abandoned by the USN Army, he was trying his best to hotwire the vehicle, as its ignition had been damaged by the fleeing USN soldier driving it.

Cpl. Friedrich stood watch just outside the cab, his G36C at his shoulder and ready to fire, "Hey, Shawn... you think we're going to get out of here... I mean with all the other nations just shooting at anyone walking around?"

Just as he was to stand up and view what was behind a large bush, a man and his family stood up, each member with their hands in the air, including a four-year-old girl with a teddy bear still in her hand.

"Please don't shoot us, we're just trying to get away from the devils that are committing genocide on our countrymen," said the man, distaught.

Friedrich lowered his weapon and helped the family out of the bush, "We're not going to shoot you, we aren't cold-hearted like those other nations," he said as he pointed to the truck as O'Riley got back to work, "You can come with us, we'll get you and your family out of this country."

"Thank you, sir, how can we repay you?" Asked the man.

"Easy, just become citizens of the Republic, then you'll be paying my salary," said the corporal with a laugh.

The attacks by the superior forces of the Swedish Dominions only strengthened the resolve of the USN Resitance. The Resistance quickly became more organized almost resembling a militia.

Convoys of SD forces had become the favorite tagets of RPG attacks by the resitance. And in many major cities guerilla snipers, hidden on the many roofs, were constantly prepared to take down any SD soldier which revealed a window of oppurtunity to do so.

They recieved the news, All of the men were furious. Fear turned to anger. Anger turned to hate. Peace turned to hell. They where told to decapitate children and shove grenades in peoples mouths while there hands where tied. The tanks began to advance, Troops right by them.

With these brutal attacks the guerilla forces realized they must become more serious. The guerillas adopted new tactics: suicide bombings and kidnappings.

The USN Guerillas would not allow their fellow citizens be murdered in such cruel ways.

The Guerilla forces were not deterred. The sight of the death and destruction only made them angrier and more sure of their cause. They wanted their nation back and qould fight till they got it or die trying.

The B52 bombers started to release VX poison gas over different cities. They released Sarin Gas over known Resistance locations.
They were all going down.

The pilots F-16's and F-14's were prepared with the chemical weapons. They took off and headed for the targeted cities

The Armed Republic of Illyan denounces the actions taken by Swedish Dominions and Fruity Loops against USN. Nevertheless, as we are a small nation, we can not aid USN in any significant way. All we ask is that Swedish Dominons and Fruity Loops stop the slaughtering of innocents and seek a peaceful resolution.

The various leaders of the USN guerilla forces met in a small, damaged building in an undisclosed location. They had just received word of the massive chemical attacks on the cities in the USN. They were disgusted at the attacks and the massive death tolls. ( About 45,000) The resistance had been impacted, losing about 1/3rd of its leaderhip and 1/4th of its members. They had to get revenge. This was the first time the various groups had decided to work together in the war, but they would make it count.

Days after the meeting the day came. Across the nation guerillas launched major attacks. In , what was once New Nick City (the capital of the USN), 5 car bombs were set off at various points. Convoys were ambushed across the nation and became quick targets of suicide bombings. The day came with a heavy cost though. Over 800 Guerillas had been killed in the fighting, and by the suicide bombings. But the leaders thought it would be worth it in the end.

Back at the abandoned house, Cappy and the rest of the fireteams gathered the rest of their gear as the truck pulled up out front. As soon as the captain saw the family in the back of the truck he turned to O'Riley and Friedrich, the corporal was the first to speak, "They followed us home, can we keep them?" He said jokingly.

"Well, you'll have to ask mom," replied Jenkins, "But it's all right if they come along, it'll make for some good PR."

"All right... mount up, people!" Yelled the weapons sergeant, "We have 18 kilometres to the FL lines, so keep your eyes open and weapons ready for anything!"

The rest of the team climbed into the truck and O'Riley started off down the road, with the captain in the passenger side going over the map with a pencil and compass in hand.

The comms officer tapped Cappy on the shoulder as they were driving down the road, "SIR! Fruity Loops aircraft are being ordred to drop chem weapons on cities... and we're still within lethal range of the weapons!"

"Fuck!" Yelled Jenkins as he pointed at the family, "We have masks, but they don't!"

Friedrich noticed the crate the little girl was sitting on read Gas Masks, 10 Units, "Sir! There's masks back here for the family, a crate of them!"

"Good, get the team to put on their NBC gear... and help the family with the masks... we don't have much time!"

O'Riley hit the brakes and the beast of a truck came to a stop as the captain looked up from the map and along the road. Up ahead, marching towards them was at least a company-sized formation of what looked like USN militia. The captain ordered the squad and the family out of the truck and to the ditches on each side of the road, the support gunners set up their light machineguns on their bipods and hand grenades were prepared.

The captain crawled over to the comms officer, "Michaels, any way we could reach FL forces?"

"No Sir, command issued us with a defective system... we can recieve long range transmissions, but we can't call out," replied the radioman.

"Shit! Then we'll have to fight our way through," said Jenkins, "We're only seven klicks from their lines anyway, and we've still got the truck--"

(i'm not disputing them existing, I am just saying that using borderline tech (and it it is borderline not MT) like that is probably the problem).

Federal Troops began to land on northern USN beaches all 200,000 troops and equipment started to land mean wile bombardments from federal ships contused missiles and shells poured out bombers and fighter bombers began to target military bases and factories and ammo dumps with every thing they had helicopter gun ships targeted hiding places of USN troops and supply depots specters gun ships began to fly over firing at every enemy force there was on the ground . troops were mounting Bradley’s and troop transports with in 2 hours they were under way blitzing in to USN helicopters and planes scouting ahead and around scanning the area for any enemy forces .. a few C-130’s began to drop MOABS on important military facilities and targets

The Bombers were suddenly ordered not to use chemical weapons. It is too risky.. They were ordered to intensify carpet bombing of major South USN Cities..

The Army were also ordered to engage guerillas.
Many losses has been reported. Marines has been reported missing.

The masked leader of one of the guerilla groups which had been waging war released a tape concerning this. "The evil Swedish Dominion infidels have promised peace in the past, only to continue to murder our people when we give into their demands. We are wary of this nation...but we will take a chance on it. The USN Liberation Front agrees to a cease fire. We have ordered all of our cells out of Southern USN and are encouraging other groups to also do that. Once peace is ensured in Northern USN we will install a democracy, like one we had before this war. We will not disarm though. We need these weapons for when we establish an army of Northern USN. Now may peace be returned to our nation!"

In a sign of good will the USN Liberation Front released 20 hostages they had been holding across the USN.

well good . we will start moving in equipment and personnel to help you rebuild . were pulling out our forces except for 50,000 troops and 2 divs of each deployment to help secure your nation from any invasion from forces in the south once every thing is set we'll pull out and help your newly rebuilt nation become more powerful in ways of economy trade and possibly militarily if you want our help

We beleive a DMZ along the border would be a great idea. It would be the best possible barrier to any aggression from the south and quicken the return of stability in the north. We welcome your troops.

Actually, no. I think that now is the time for peace. Aid will be sent to those who need it, so long as it isn't used to bring Mills' government back from the dead. Democracy should return to the USN, and the people should be free.
