The Empire of Layarteb

History
The Empire of Layarteb was once a colony of the Dominion of Tnemrot. Though it remained such a way for some eighteen hundred years, the Empire of Layarteb soon broke away with a bloody revolutionary war that reduced its population to a mere six million some time ago. Once it gained its independence, the Emperor, the leader of the revolutionary forces, took control over the Dictatorship of Layarteb, soon to evolve into the Empire of Layarteb. It became an empire when the Commonwealth of South Eastern Virginia expressed interest in being a commonwealth of Layarteb. For a price of $500B, the Dictatorship of Layarteb became the Empire of Layarteb. As population grew strongly, more conflict was on the horizon. Fighting numerous wars overseas and helping out allies, the Empire of Layarteb and its Imperial Layartebian Military grew by leaps and bounds. Finally, when faced with supreme adversity in the Free Land of Dnalkrad, the Empire of Layarteb was called to action again. After its embassy was seized by forces of a corrupt military general inside the Free Land of Dnalkrad, action took place. Within a mere two weeks, it was the Layartebian Commonwealth of Dnalkrad. With that came the third of the now provinces of Layarteb.

Population continued to expand but sentiment was growing for democracy. Led by Nicolas Caratan, a fiery orator, there grew a small civil war inside Layarteb, forcing the Emperor to flee into exile in the unoccupied zones of the region of New York. As democracy reigned in Layarteb and citizens grew wary of the liberalism and of the absence of protection, the Emperor returned, triumphantly. The brief fight was eclipsed by the capture of Caratan and his eventual public execution. All democratic laws enacted by Caratan, including the freedom to use illegal drugs, were repealed and protesting banned.

Today, the Empire of Layarteb maintains many alliances and friendships throughout the world. Situated in Earth II, the Empire of Layarteb and its three provinces are some of the largest in the world.

Just recently, the Empire of Layarteb has set up a colony in Central America named Ynoga. Information is limited at this moment in time but it is a colony for the grand Empire.

Population Distribution
The Empire of Layarteb consists of three provinces and one colony. The first is the main area, the Province of Layarteb. The second is the Layartebian Province of South Eastern Virginia and the third is the Layartebian Province of Dnalkrad. Each of the three provinces contribute to the main budget of the Empire of Layarteb and in return, is protected and treated as an equal within the Empire of Layarteb. All have a degree of autonomy, much like the British regions (IRL). Additionally, all three provinces are property and land of Layarteb and thus any attack on such is an attack on the Empire as a whole. The colony is Ynoga, situated in Central America and though under the protectorate of the Empire of Layarteb, is not a full province.

Location
The Empire of Layarteb takes up most of the north-eastern United States, the South American country of Venezuela, the chunk of land in Canada called Labrador, and a chunk of land in Central America (Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras). With a total of 790,463.84 sq. mi., the Empire of Layarteb and its three provinces (Dnalkrad, Layarteb, and South Eastern Virginia) and one colony (Ynoga), takes up a significant portion of land. The Empire of Layarteb is semi-isolationist and thought we would like to be isolationist, the world is not a giant vacuum. We have embassies abroad and those nations that we have embassies in have embassies in our nation as well in Layarteb City, the capital. All embassies are located in International Zone, which is, at minimum, 15 miles from Layarteb International Airport. Layarteb IAP is what all diplomats must use.

Embassy Conditions
1. There are to be no weapons caches at your embassy.
2. There are to be no more than 100 armed guards at your embassy.
3. Any acts of using an embassy as a method for espionage or spying will immediately result in dismissal of you from our country as well as further action.
4. Currently, protesting is illegal in the Empire of Layarteb as the last time protesting was allowed, it led to a democratic revolution that failed miserably.
5. All drugs are illegal in Layarteb except those approved by the FDA (aspirin, medicine, etc. are legal but not Marijuana, Cocaine, LSD, etc.).

The Empire of Layarteb inquires as to what locale the embassy will be in.

The embassy will be located in Freedom Avenue and 26th street, just 200 metres away from the government-building area.

The embassy will consist of three buildings, surrounded by a 4,5 metre tall bulletproof and bombproof fence with scharded glass on top for security.
The main building will be 4 floors tall, with a helipad on top, capable of operating a Sikorsky 60 (UH-60 BlackHawk, etc). The other two buildings are 2 floors tall. Also included is a small park, complete with a few trees and a working fountain.

We must ask that you bring no more then 150 armed guards, and no weapons above .45 cal. There will not be allowed any weapon chaches.

Any member of your staff has diplomatic immunity, however. If a serious crime is committed (rape, murder, extreme violence), the person(s) in question is to be tried in Cotland after Cottish law.

Is this satisfactory?

Yes the Empire of Layarteb will gladly accept the offer of an embassy in Tunis. The Cottish Embassy will be in International Zone in Layarteb City (RL New York City, New York).

The conditions are satisfactory and we will abide by them. The biggest weapons we would bring would be .45 in a pistol or UMP. Our .50 M2HB are really vehicle mounted as are our 1.22 M31.

Wonderful. We will send a delegation led by ambassador Jake Irshaw (age 58) to Layarteb city within the week.

The Ambassador to Cotland shall be arriving within the same time via VC-25B Condor.
