Reuters: At Approximately 5:03am Local Time, Massive Earthquakes reaching 7.5 on the Richter scale rocked the central Arenumbergian Islands in the Kalsora Island Chain.
Most of the Flimsy housing, located on some of the newly populated islands, collapsed, trapping families in their homes.
Even in the downtown area of the capital, huge skyscrapers and office blocks collapsed, some have toppled on top of others, and most will need to be demolished due to structural damage, reports indicate casualties in the Millions.
Most of the major links between cities have been destroyed, with large communal farms being destroyed, threatening famine.
The main reason the devestation in such a modernised country is so great, is because there has never been a earthquake here before, nor are the islands near a tectonicly active zone, or a plate boundary, rumours also have it that a Large, dormant, volcano on the outskirts of the Town of Larriska has Erupted, but this cannot be confirmed.
The Government has made a plea to all neighbouring nations and aid agencies for food water and temporary housing, as much of it has been destroyed or contaminated.
Rescue teams are already digging through the rubble, but more help is needed.
