Aguyland

The people I'm leading to a world of peace and benefits is inhabiting one of the most beautiful islands on the face of the earth.
And they are aware of that...
The realisation of we living in a paradise brought me to the thought of the development of Tourism: it would have brought our people new funds, new money and, most important, new life. That's what I used to think.
My people would have been lead to a new world, a richer world.
But they didn'want that to happen.
They are patrioctic, way too patrioctic. I would have thought of it as a good thing, but actually it is not. Too much patriotism means xenophobia...
They started protesting against the construction of seaside resorts: I tried to make them realise it would have been good for everyone in the country to have seaside resorts and such. But they wouldn't listen...
22 august 2004...
The first cruise liner in Aguyland's history was on its way to dock 3. It was about 8.30 am and I was looking over the last details of a new proposal for the parliament. I was happy: I knew that could have been the most important day in Aguyland's History. But then I heard explosions...
The citizens, using military weapons and explosives, had sunk the liner, killing over 600 tourists; then, they headed for the parliament's building.
A riot followed. I barely managed to suppress that, but after that i decided not to develop tourism anymore.
I think we are still not ready for that.
Racism is a problem everyone must face, sooner or later.
That's my experience.
Signed,
