The Emperor, Jin Tai Ji, age 58 was killed in a car crash near Tianjin where we was to be directing a banquet for the princess. The Emperor had died amongst impact during the crash and was pronounced dead.

The unexpected death had caused thousands of Chinese mourners at Tiananmen Square, where his body is displayed at the Temple of Heaven, where the public was allowed to pay their last respects. The suddend eath of the emperor has sparked questions whether the princess should take on duties as Queen of China. The next in line in case of the death opf the emperor is his wife, since there were no brothers. The widow empress has asked her daughter to rule China as stated in the will.

Her two brothers, Prince Hong, and Hui are dominant regents in Xinjiang, and Mongolia. And they have came back to Beijing to attend memorial services.

However, the Republicans and Communists have used the issue to finally end monarchy in China once again. During the reign of the EMperor, he managed to keep Communism and free rule to tintervene with the Monarchy, which had sent great reforms throught the government and had done much to improve the living standards of China.

However, throughout Xiannese history, once the emperor has died, the government beguins corrupt. Before Emperor Jin Tai Ji was crowned, his father was the Prince and was never coronated due to a civil war in which the Republic finally gave in and invited the Imperial Government back.

The Prime Minister Yeh Zhao Feng's term as Prime Minister has ended and will ake in full time as the Queen's advisor. However, the Regents, Wu Tse Min has much more than just retaining power within the Chinese government. He will be the next emperor.

Several garissons close to the border has been ordered to be on high alert, in preparation for potential civil strife.

Wu Tse Min, now the Prime Minister due to Yeh's term ending, has promised reforms.

The Royal family has flown to Shenyang(Taiping) where the emperor will be laid to rest. The following afternoon, National troops stormed the Forbidden city amongst a few street battles with palace guards. guns fired and an estimated 67 people were killed, mainly palace guards. About 12 workers in the palace were killed, 240 people were injuured, and 15 in critical conmdition.

The National troops were to liberate the Forbidden City. However, the Palace is still holding out, and the seige is expected to end early morning.
Yeh Zhao feng and the United China Party had excused Wu Tse Min from the party and they also fled to the North where the Royal troops still hold a relative defense.

"The EMperor has died yesterday, and we must respect his passing, however, we must not let the mandate be passed to a young unexperienced woman. We must unite CHina under a Moanrchy-Republic unified front." said Wu Tse Min at the comittee before sending 5,000 troops to storm the palace.

Fortunately, the whole Royal Family and friends have left the palace due to threats and leaks that the National government may cause harm to them. Jo Jin Ju, after hearing news was about to return to beijing for the memorial service, but was asked not to by his aides, Dr Xia, and Ms. Li, who works at the Xiannese Embassy in Chuang-Han.

"This civil strife has started, everybody knew it will happen, just not that fast. Minister Wu seems to want this Mandate as quickly as he can.

The National Army is only a few thousands larger than the Royal Forces. However, the Royal forces are better trained, although the equiptment is not as updated as the National troops.

Da'Khiem's belated official statement on the Emperor's passing expressed sympathy to those who feel personal loss after his death, and spoke of hope for a new chapter in Chinese political and economic evolution that may rise from the sad end of another era.

Meanwhile, of course, Drapoel border guards keep watch for the possibility of contact with any socialistic factions or persons across the frontier, but there is no major re-distribution of forces. The Northwest Defence District that takes primary responsibility for protection of the Dra-pol/Xiaguo border remains over a dozen brigades strong, and over two hundred and fifty combat jets remain stationed in the Republic's far north as Dra-pol watches and waits with the usual awkward degrees of paranoia and revolutionary optimism.

North Yaman, never impressed the track record of Xiannese contradictory stances and leanings towards corruption, never the less mourns the death of a powerful leader. No major troop movements are visible on the Xiaguo/Yamani border, though forces in Enkou and Karak Rhun are put on alert. The railway through to Xiaguo is closed until a more peaceful situation arises in Northern China.

Officially the Yamani government supports the communists, but believes this civil war to be a Chinese issue. The SFD is holding itself aloft from physically supporting either side at this time.

(OOC: What of the Xiaguo troops in Kanendru? Do they support one side or the other? Are they pulled out of that country?

Also, on the other thread you meantioned invading Lyong. Was this a joke, or were you rping? It can be hard to tell sometimes...)

The railways surrounding the Yanheshi Shange tower are busy, loading troops onto the military lines for deployment in the recently liberated Heletai plains between Hairukahama and Thesho, on the Sea of Japan. Artillery trains are also activated for quick deployment in case of a Bonstockian invasion from the Sea and due to the civil unrest in neighbouring Xiaguo.

The LRR government doesn't quite know how to react to developments in Xiaguo. While units skimmed off of the large Pacific Front, commanded by Marshall Isaac Syszko, are redeployed to more adequately cover the border with Manchuria, and almost the entire Central Defense District is put in a position to cover Central Asia should fighting spill into friendly countries there, it is highly unlikely that the LRR government would decide to undertake three major operations at once, even with the self-sufficent defense districts.

T-62s of the 46th Tank-assault division in review near Omsk, unusually devoid of applique armor. The 46th would likely be one of the major units to see combat should the Xiaguo crisis spill into areas close to LRR. While it is unquestionably equipped with second- and third-rate tanks, it has at least some tanks, rather than the modified BMPs of most central DD divisions, and has a healthy amount of anti-tank assets as well. In combat, tanks like the 46th's T-55s and T-62s would be used in a defensive role heavily supported by ATGM and anti-tank gun teams.

The Igovian Soviet Commonwealth regards developments in Xiaguo with a degree of confusion, and even GSIC openly admits to a rather poor state of intelligence gathering.

As yet, all that has clearly happened is an official condemnation of Sinoese aggression and jingoistic brinkmanship, accompanied by a demand for a public explanation of what Sino calls imperialist threats from LRR and Dra-pol. Iskra! is running frequent updates on the complete and utter lack of miltary re-deployment visible in Dra-pol following People's Kosmonautical Co-operative over-flights, as well as LRR re-deployments clearly lacking support enough to make deep incursions.

Of course this is conflicting somewhat with earlier broadcasts related to the Bonstockian war in which efforts were made to portray the Sinoese as part of a responsible coalition. The focus there has instead shifted away from lauding positives in the Chinese and back to condemning negatives in the Bonstockians.

Da'Khiem does indeed convey the received appeals on to the rest of the Sphere. Dra-pol has never in its recorded history invaded another nation, and would like to preserve that standard, but has of course already begun to consider that intervention on behalf of Chinese revolutionaries need not constitute a full invasion. To its allies, the CPRD makes no secret of its concern about provoking action by Sino or by a victorious country-revolutionary regime in Xiaguo, but would by the same token love to create a buffer of revolutionary favour in bordering parts of China. Dra-pol of course has not the means to deliver significant aid or intervention to southern parts of Xiaguo, but continues to watch for revolutionary forces near the border.

It has been decided that Chinese revolutionaries reaching the border will be harboured in Drapoel mountains across the border, but not allowed into the interior. HARTS yet lacking heavy guns may actually be used to house fighters in order to contain and isolate them from the populace lest infiltrators attempt to take advantage.

Beyond that, it seems too early to act. Though several thousand AVs including two thousand SPGs are traditionally situated opposite the Xiaguo frontier, Dra-pol has no capacity to drive far into China, and does not want to take such brash action without knowing more about the abilities, location, and intentions of the leftist forces.

A major clash right outside about 140 miles from Tangshan in Hebei Province. The 4 factions united under the Xinhua government of Queen Jin,
consists of:

Yeh Zhao Feng, Leader of the Dongbei Faction
Former Prime Minister, term ended 3 weeks back. Was operating as a Professor at Taiping University in Shenyang. He attended the Queen's coronation and accepted the offer to command the Army of Taiping which wll defend the Capital. He and Wu Ze Min were good friends, however, his betrayal has angered Yeh, however, Yeh hopes for an alternative.

Zhao Jin Zao, Leader of the Sichuan-Hubei faction
Was at CHuang-Han, and was on a train heading to Beijing, when officials at Anhui told him to stay in Anhui due to intellegence hinting a power struggle. He than crossed over to Sichuan, where he had lived for 5 years before taking the role as regent in Beijing. He recieved an order to command forces in Sichuan and Hubei from Yeh, and has accepted the role. He is the Step brother of the Queen Mother.

Li Shan, Leader of the Anhui-Jiangsu Provinces Faction
She was in Chuang-Han when this was happening. Dr. Xia Ping, who worked as a Consulate at the Xiannese embassy called Li Shan. Apparently, Zhao Jin Zao has asked Li Shan to take control of the Anhui-Jiangsu Provinces and use the provinces as a back door to allies, especially Sino, she was also the one who allowed Sinoese troops to pass freely into Shandong where a stalemate is taking place between National Troops and Sinoese Troops. The LRR government is willing to host and/or participate in any peace agreements, and medical teams, along with Volgostani engineering detachments, have been made ready for deployment into Xiaguo to prop up the humanitarian situation should it become necessary.

The divisions deployed to secure LRR's southern border are reinforced by several wings of fighters and attack aircraft, mostly L-159s and MiG-21-2000s, but several Volgostani Jaguar IIF (converted Jaguar II attack aircraft) squadrons are also present.

Again, this force is incapable of undertaking major operations inside Xiaguo until either more divisions are redeployed by Marshall Syzko's command, or allied troops come into play.

The LRR government also reminds Sino that LRR is mostly incapable of administering external provinces, and prefers the sattelite state to the colony, but has no such plans for the significantly more populous and better-armed people of Xiaguo. Involvement would be purely temporary and mostly humanitarian in nature. With the situation in Myanmar stabilizing, however, several of the LRRA's precious amphibious brigades will be freed up for operations elsewhere, but that elsewhere is probably in the Sakishimas.

With the recent naval skirmishes, the Pacific Defense District's naval resources have been put on high alert. The multitude of light frigates and patrol vessels operated by the LRRN, and designed to engage much larger ships and submarines, keep a close watch around the Lyong peninsula and the numerous other entrances into the Sea Of Okhotsk and the Sakhalin area.

The 50-knot Son House coastal patrol vessels form the bulk of the LRRN corvette force, numbering some 45 vessels, and are supported by Gepard MOD light frigates, 15 total. There are also 15 U-212 attack submarines, which find themselves in charge of supporting the surface group. RBS-15F shore launchers cover straits, protected by SAMs, and numerous light patrol boats range close to shore. ASW helicopters and aircraft, supported by fighter-bombers, help patrol the skies over the Lyong peninsula and the pacific region of LRR.

The LRR government re-states that it has no plans for Xiaguo, and it is plainly obvious to anyone who has a television set that the LRRA forces covering the border with Xiaguo are in no condition to make any incursions into that country. However, the shipment of humanitarian aid should it become necessary (since warfare has the adverse affect of damaging and destroying vital infrastructure) is viewed as a duty of the international community.

However, LRRN units continue to operate, along with Lyongian ships, to protect against any attacks on neutral vessels.

But one thing is certain- LRR will not be happy with a military dictatorship right next door, especially one larger than LRR itself. Letting the Chinese sort it out probably means, in LRR eyes, letting Sino take over all of China and instate a dictatorship. Over one billion slogan-chanting, assault rifle bearing Liu clones would be a threat at least to the 140 million LRR, spread out across the largest country in the world, holding political and social views almost exactly the opposite of those promoted by Sino, and sitting on top of a healthy stash of oil. So obviously, preventing this will become a major concern, but it is highly, highly unlikely that the resources alotted to the central defense district's few divisions not already comitted to Marshall Syzko's command would be able to overcome any military operations by Xiaguo factions or Sino.

While the Yamani sit back after preparing their announcement to the world, certain more cautious political officers of the SRA, monitoring communications leaving NY through the Spyran-built comm network take a precaution and stop the communication. Let the Yamani feel the glorious revolutionary spirit without making an enemy of Xiaguo should the monarchists resume control.

OOC: Im not sure how Wu Ze Ming relates to communism... is he a communist, or is communism used as a general name for bad things in Xiaguo?

Nah, I don't think I ever said he was a communist leader. 'Ruthless General" seeking power.

Royal forces manage to capture Hebei province and is heading toward Beijing in a how down. While hundreds of rebels retreat from the South to help fight in Hebei, THe Shandong troops was order from Li to pursue them in a hope to crush this Northern army.

Meanwhile, Wu Ze Min has been televised on television channels all over Asia asking for other countries to step in to help them fend off the troops. He made powerful promises such as before stated, "If order to gain trust from he nearby Drapolian, we are willing to send annual funds and necessary supplies to Dra-Pol for a fraction of the price we have set on foreign trade. We will open our ports instead of hiding them , and allow foreign warships to enter our ports. Our government will be more Democratic and free than what Monarchy has given us.

With the end of the Bonstockian situation, many of the Central Defense District's better divisions are shipped back into their regular positions via the trans-siberian railway and its many sub-routes.

Many of the Pacific Defense District's divisions have been diverted to protect the oil pipelines from LRR into the Lyong nations. Divisions are put into a position where they can respond quickly to any incursions made into LRR or Lyong territory. Across the Steppe, T-62 MODs can be seen sitting in sandbagged defensive positions, with snow heaped up to conceal the tanks further. Their round turrets peek up above the cold landscape, trying to look imposing. The T-62 crews have no illusions about the effectiveness of their vehicle, who's 115mm main gun can barely penetrate any potential invading tanks. Their best bet in combat is to keep on the move, firing the turret-mounted Spike-ER launcher, either that or abandoning the tank and taking to foot.

The PT-91Bs have much better chances, equipped with effective main guns and respectable armor.

However, the backbone of any potential LRRA defense would, without a doubt, be the tank destroyers and artillery. Equipped with very long range ATGMs and plenty of artillery rockets, the LRRA boasts one of Asia's most effective and potent anti-tank forces.

The pleas made by Wu Ze Min cause some concern in LRR, and if there was not the percieved threat of Sinoese tanks rolling into Omsk, the government might have simply sent some readily available armored divisions into Manchuria and taken matters into their own hands. But because of the risk of a major war with a much more heavily-armed and militarized Sino, LRR opts to wait and see what happens, and to intervene only if there are major human rights violations.

Several COnstitutionary Officials in Beijing were executed through a major mission to sweep all imperial filth from the city before a major defense is put under way. Several Thousands troops have arrived from SHandong area to help drive back the Taiping Troops..

Both sides of the conflict has set up their own armies to capture each other's capitals. The 150,000 strong Army of Taiping's main objective is to capture Beijing and to defend Taiping. While the same objective goes on the opposite for Beiping Army pf 170,000.

Several Sea Ports have been captured by the Royal Navy while Xinjiang, Gansu, and Sichuan has now fallen to the rebels.the permanent control seems promising as provinces began to fall under oppresion the rebels, and Dictatorship by the remaining Imperial Government.

"Our allies of what have existed in the past, shall die along with the rebels," as Shenyang recieved hail, of missiles which had killed civilians, Shenyang, now issued a major evacuation will leave only what is left of the government there.

"Your majesty, our allies have forsakened us, we are one against our own." said yeh Zhao feng, who has been around Asia asking for assistance until threats of an assasination drove him back to Shenyang.

"The Imperial Family has also left for Harbin. Shenyang must be abandoned." said her uncle, who was in charge of the Taiping Army. "If we must, the Imperial Family can sent to Chuang-Han while we fight on."

"No, my dear uncle, I shall stay, but let alone, have my family find shelter in Chuang-Han, who will be expecting them."said the Queen, now dressed in a red Millitary unfiform fixed with the National Seal armband. 3 medals hung from her chest, all were from her father, who had taught her the principles of becoming a strong leader.

The Queen is expected to speak at the Rally before thousands of troops begin to move toward the front lines, which are now getting weaker by the minute.

Official Statement by the Sinoese Military Junta:

Stop all this bickering at once! There are enemies abroad willing to take this opportunity to wipe us all out and steal our land and resources. All hostilities must cease before the existence of our race ceases.

==========================================================

Just as the above statement was being first received by all warring parties, five DF-15 IRBMs with conventional warheads, all exploded above the skyline of Beijing. It was not a fireworks display.

Beijing Skies:

Moments later, two airborne battallions, supported by over twenty J-12As had to be flown in from the supercarrier ARSNV Manhattan Project (located in the Bo Sea).

Their parachutes opened in the warm air of the Beijing summer. The LZ was the Forbidden City.

Unsure of the situation, ARSA Lt. Col. Chiang Kong Wen, commander of the 52nd Airborne battalion decides to push all the questions aside from his mind as he cocks his silenced CFQ-06 (helixical 9x19mm).

Chuang-Han China

Chuang-Han continues it's unusual apathy towards what is happening in one of it's allies.

Protests in Nanning outside the houses of Parliament, the Imperial Palace, and the Xianese Embassy have shown that public support is in favor of intervening on the side of the Monarchy. But Chuang-Han's government remains quiet, without response to any inquiry on the issue.

Speculation from newspapers is generally that the Chuang Government does not wish to put the country in any crisis or war before the elderly Monarch of Chuang-Han dies.

OOC: I had to make up something for why I haven't responded to this at all. In reality, I've been busy. Just pretend in-game that my Government has clammed up entirely and refuses to give an opinion. I'll form an opinion soon.

The Government now debated whether to welcome Sino, or to attack them. Both the National forces and Royal forces seemed to have been misguided by Sino's sudden deployment and was taken as an uncalled invasion.

Both sides have made a request to Sino for which they stood. The National Government has surrounded the Forbidden City COmplex and has entered to welcome the Sinoese troops.

The LRRA forces on the border, just as confused as ever, sit around in their positions, mostly consisting of low-profile bunkers with old T-55 turrets hidden under snow, with the mobile and well-equipped infantry and assault divisions kilometers north. The weather is of no great concern, since the LRRA is trained to fight just as well in the winter as in any month, probably better in the winter, where the mobility of LRR armored vehicles and heartiness of LRR aircraft really makes a difference.

The major mobile units positioned along the Chinese border are a mostly from the Central Defense District. Many ATGM carrier vehicles are deployed, on modifed BRDM-2s and light trucks, designed for speed and small size. The infantry and 'substance' units generally travel in modified BMP-2s and a few MT-LBVC APCs, vehicles which the Central Defense District operates very few of. Other formations remain to the northeast, sitting on their regular turf.

In short, the government doesn't know what to do, but they do know that anyone who invades LRR, Lyong nations, or the friendly Central Asian nations will get a beating.

Awkwardly, the Sinoese forces were allow to occupy the Palace Complex. A request has been made by the Royal family to ask the Sinoese Millitary to spare special documents and information in the Forbidden city. of course, what is left at the forbidden city. Thousands of lavish goods were confiscated when the Rebels entered the palace.
