Terrorist Shinto Attack in Metslavia

OOC: Misspelled Metslandia in the Thread... :headbang: Sorry about that...

IC: The group of Ninja had departed from their homeland a week ago. They had travelled in the decks of a cargo ship as stowaways, keeping to the shadow to prevent their discovery by the crew members. Their leaders had ordered them to assassinate those responsible for the dreadful idea of outlawing Shintoism. And they were more than motivated to fulfill their mission. The ship finally docked at the port.

Shintaro, the leader, motioned them to leave the shadows. Fortunately for them, it was night, what really helped them to leave the ship unnoticed. After making thair way out of the docks, sneaking past the few people they came across, the Ninja made their way to the restaurant know as Sushi and Co.

It was empty, as usual. The owner of the pathetically small establishment was sitting by the counter. His sleepy expression lightened when he saw the black clad men enter the restaurant. "It's not safe here, go upstairs..." They followed his advise, and entered a small room. A young girl, likely the man's daughter, went to meet them. carrying a heavy bag. Inside, there were traditional ninja weapons and gear, as well as modern day bombs and firearms. "There is a truck waiting for you in this street. Hijack it."

The group, now inside a truck belonging to a company called RFC, journeyed for 3 full days to the capital city of Metslandia. Finally, they arrived, after nearly blowing their cover everytime they had to refuel. Parking in an obscure alley, they awaited for the coming of the night. When it came, they climbed to the rooftops of the buildings, using hooks and ropes provided to them. The Ninja jumped from building to building, perhaps overusing their ropes, that began to complain by the time they reached the parliament. Their targets had already left the building... No problem, they could still create a diversion. Two of them climbed down to the ground, and threw a few smoke grenades at the windows. They faded from sight as the alarms rang, and people emerged from seemingly nowhere to the area: firemen, SWAT police, even some elements of the army had gathered there.

They had diverted attention from their targets... Or so they hoped. While the great amount of concerned citizens had gathered there, they had left the area and split up into two groups, one aimed for the vice president, other for the president's advisor of office. The first, eager to give a say to the populace to increase his popularity, was already dressed up and left his doorstep guarded by his henchmen when they caught up with him. They drew their crossbows before the bodyguards could react, and shot them accurately in the throat, and thus they choked to death. As for the advisor, he had yet to leave his home... and since he lived on the 11th floor of a rather secure building... Shintaro had somehow predicted this outcome, based on what he had read in his briefing. So, he chose to lead the advisor team.

He loaded his Uzi, and broke the glass door at the entrance, causing the alarms to fire. He shot at the ceiling lights, engulfing the entrance hall in darkness, and motioning for the other two Ninja to load their own semi-automatics. The elevators wouldn't budge is such an occasion, so he ran as fast as he could up the stairs, gunning down the few panicking citizens that had the msifortune of a light sleep. Finally, he arrived at his target's home, that had openned his door in the same instant... and was promptly killed by a stab from Shintaro's Ninja-To. Below him, his companions shot down the few policemen that had been sent to deal with the situation. A good number of police cars were accumulating at the entrance...

Shintaro grabbed hold of a grenade, the explosive type this time, and, using his honed accuracy, threw it at the cars, taking care of his companion's escape route. Finally, he got down from his position by means of his trusty rope. The three escaped the scene, and met up with the others... In the city's sewers.

OOC: What's wrong with another Japanese nation? I like Japanese nations. Heck, it's the same as another Turkish or Italian nation...

IC: Two days had passed after their attack, and Shintaro grew restless. He paced around the sewers' walls, thinking about... whatever bored Ninja terrorists think. "Shintaro-sama, you'll only get tired like that." Kajiki, the youngest in his team, said from a nearby tunnel. He was busily watching the news using a remarkably small TV he smuggled in his Shozoku's hidden pockets. "Don't tell me what to do, child! At least it's better than sitting in my ass all day watching the news."

Kajiki smiled. "Speaking of which, there's something you should listen to..." The ninja gathered around him, and listened to the President's message. As well as a disturbing message. "So, Okita and his family were arrested... It's not impossible that he might tell them something about us, and our mission... And we still have to create an environment of fear before we make our last move." Shintaro mused outloud. "Sir!" Kagome, the Kunoichi (female ninja) stood up. "Would you like some of us to find out where Okita might be detained and bust him out, while you carry on with your mission?" Shintaro grinned slightly. She was perhaps his best operative. But sometimes a bit too rash in strategy. "That seems like a good plan, though it'll be hard to keep him out AND keep our discretion at the same time. Our nation will deny our existance, that we already know, and that we accepted from the start. We don't have to worry about sullying its good name."

The Ninja grew anxious. Their leader spoke as if there was no hope for them. "We're all dead men, from the moment we're born. It's a matter of how we depart this land. And right now, we have to take care of a few things before we depart. For example, let's hurt the pride of these Jews..." They left the sewers at the late hours of the night, and headed towards a bank run by a Jewish man. He was on their possible targets list: a workaholic that had gained much prestige in his circles. They ran sliently through the streets, occasionally hiding from a passing drunkard.

As the arrived at the bank's facade, Shintaro took out a pair of binocles and examined the entrance. Two cameras... He took out a hangun and silencer, and walked on as much as he could before he'd get detected, and shot them. The others moved in, and took care of the electronic lock using a rather interesting item meant for that purpose. Shintaro dealt with the remaining cameras inside the same way, while the others watched out for any activity inside the building. But the only guard at the entrance was sleeping, and was quickly disposed of by a Ninja, just in case. The companions hurried to the Bank president's office, and when they arrived... They found out why secretaries were so popular amidst workaholics...

The other men paralyzed for a second, except for Shintaro, that was their leader for mindset as well as physical prowess, and Kagome, who only found the act disgusting. So, the two sneaked in, and stabbed the pair with their knives. The others entered the room. "Well, mission almost accomplished..." Kajiki said, while sitting at the man's desk. His laptop was still on, and he began to fiddle with it. "What are you doing now...?" Shintaro asked. "Making sure we get our point across..."

The Ninja faded back to their hideout... And in the next morning, many wealthy citizens of Metslandia found their fortunes all but gone... And a message on the bank's website: "Stop attacking other religions"

Metslandia has found out from the detained accomplice that the terrorists are from Samurai Clanlords. We ask that you turn them over or face swift and utter destruction. Message From The Shogun Of Samurai Clanlords:
We deny having sent these... terrorists to your nation. While it might be that they might've received training in our territories, they likely belong to a cell of a terrorist organization acting in our country. We apologize for all the grief they may have cause, and we'll make sure we pin down the ones responsible for their actions. But... You must remember you brought this upon yourselves by outlawing religious practices. Some of those people lived in your country their whole lives, and worked hard during their stay. They were citizens that you waged your own brand of terrorism against. Shinto is meant to be a peaceful religion. Think about it as you try and stop the terrorists.

OOC: I'll try and post another Ninja adventure later today, please be patient. Thank you.

"So, looks like your prediction came correct, sir." Kyuzo, a slim man, gathered with the others around Kajiki's TV, spoke. "Well, so it seems. But right now, we have other things to worry about, like making sure we foil Metslandia's plan to assassinate our kinsmen." The group shifted uncomfortably, how could they stop an entire militia in broad daylight? "When your heart wavers, keep your mind clear and empty, ready to adapt to any circumstances. Remeber this principle? Well, we might have to use it..."

Kajiki, who had stolen the banker's laptop after the last mission, hacked into the city hall's servers. "See, I told you this had a wireless internet connection! And a good one too, never expected this to work in a sewer..." He searched for a path to the Japanese neighbourhood... And after some time, found it. It was now almost 5PM. They gathered their stuff, and strode to the mission area, the young ninja taking the lead.

When they arrived at the designated... hole... Shigeru, the explosive's specialist, asked them to wait. "This seems far too easy..." And he was right: There was a bomb prepared to explode if they lifted the mudhole (I think it's called that, at least, correct me if I'm wrong). Carefully, he opened it, and examined the machanism. There were quite a few wires... "No problem. Kajiki, lend me the 'pen'." The 'pen' was an instrument that could read electronic signal (and which I use in my Computer Science classes in College, dunno the English name for it...). With it, and using Shigeru's knowledge of the subject, they disarmed the bomb.

"There is something strange about this... It's almost as if a trap..." Shintaro mused. Before opening the mudhole... "Look, they fell for it." A soldier outside whispered. "Let's open it wide and..." Shintaro and the others took mental notes of their accents. "Nah, let's wait until they start gettin' out, and then WHAM!!"

Shintaro grinned under his mask, and holding tight on the ladder, dexterously kicked open the mudhole, that flew towards one of the man's face, while surprising the other... two... Shintaro only noticed there was one more after he had climbed out, and only had time to kill one. He threw a knife shaped shuriken at the nearest, and readied himself for the shot... that never came, since instinctive Kagome had shot the other with her silencer equiped handgun.

They were there, and it was about 6PM. Time was running short. "The Japanese people around here are not pleased at all with the situation, I'd gather... We should use that to our advantage." Shintaro told them. "We'll build traps for the militia soldiers... At the same time we'll use the fact those three are dead to our advantage. They had radios with them, so that'll be our bait. Shigeru and Kyuzo, go set up explosives and make sure you remember where you put them. Kajiki and Setsuma, scout the path ahead for them, and try and steal whatever weapons you may find useful. RPGs and the like would be welcome. Kagome, keep watch on this point. I'll go and talk these people into resisting."

They all nodded, and headed their separate ways. Shintaro sneaked past a few patrols, and entered a building. So many houses... Which to start with? He knocked on one at random. No response, though he could hear the muffled cries of a woman inside. "You need not fear me. The Clans do not forget their people." He spoke in a perfect Japanese tone. There was a moment of silence, before a miffle-aged man opened the door. "Good afternoon. My name is Kikuta Shintaro, master of Ninjutsu. I and my companions have been sent by the Clans to deal with the persecution you are suffering. Alas, it seems they have not learnt from the previous lessons..." The man looked at him sadly. "What good will it do if my family's marked to die? There's nothing you or I can do..." Shintaro grabbed him lightly by the shoulders. "There is! Look, if we work together, we'll be able to fend off their attack, and hopefully get our point across. Once this all starts, we'll try and open a path for your family to escape the city. You'll have to stay with us, though. We'll need manpower to pull this act." The man's tears froze. He looked at his wife and children with grim determination. "Toki, call our neighbours. We have something to say..."

At 6:50PM, all the explosives were set, many men had built molotov cocktails and some were armed with light calibre weaponry stolen from the trucks (average 3 per building), and the six Ninja had gathered in the alley. "It's done, now we wait..."

Message from The Shogun:
We will allow it... if you lift the religious prohibitions in your land. So, for the sake of discovering our friendship, please lift the religious prohibitions. You will be fondly remembered in later years for that.

OOC: You know, you're starting to godmode a bit.

IC: Mr. Taft sat in his office, outraged at the attacks and the stubbornness of Samuri Clanlords.

"If you do not let us into the nation, all Japanese people will be sent to the island where the refugees were held. Shinto is a heathen(sp?) religion, we will not stand for it!"
Samurai Clanlords
01-11-2004, 22:13
OOC: Argh... Sorry about that... Whenever Ninjas are involved, I tend to do that... Thanks for calling me back to my senses, I'll try to moderate myself from now on. Still, care for a little riot? Even with all those subterfuges, you're bound to win and take down a few terrorists (if not all of them, since I dunno how to get myself out of this one...). If you play well, at least. :sniper:

IC: Shimada Kanbei felt inclined to scream back at the reddened man, but kept his composure. "Does your religion not preach the peaceful dwelling with members of other beliefs? Why do you insist on xenophoby? Why do you keep harming others and yourselves in such an unfruitful manner? Please, we may be stubborn, in fact I apologize for taking so much of your time with this issue, but so are you, if you don't mind me saying. Is it so much to ask for a bit of tolerance towards religious minorities in your lands?"

The president said, in a rage he had never seen coming.

The shogun sighed... "Shouting will not help a single bit, president Taft. In fact, it shows lack of self-control. And I'm sure you need a cool head during such delicate negociations. Once again, I beg you to please reconsider. Your country was badly hurt due to this law you insist on maintaining. Even if we allow you to enter our lands, the terrorists already in your country won't stop." He took a deep breath before continuing his speech. "But if you feel so strongly about that, then I will allow you to scowr my homeland for terrorists, provided you answer us this question convincingly: why did you outlaw religions in the first place?"

Call it what you want, a slave trader will always act in such ways, and not knowing what your... clients do with them won't be even near enough to cover up your immorality. Decorating your actions with pretty words won't change a thing." The Shogun paused for a second, as not to let his emotions take over. "Even though you more than deserve the terrorist attacks, we'll let you enter our territories. You'll act in cooperation with our secret services, that will do all they can to aid you."

Samurai Clanlords
02-11-2004, 22:58
"Our mountains are a national natural treasure. The answer is, of course, no. And don't try insisting, or we'll end our negociations the way they started. Also... Since you are so disrespectful of... Heathens like us, why should we allow such deadly weapons so close to our throats?"
Metslandia
02-11-2004, 23:35
"Just asking. These negotiations are over, thank you." He got up and left. Two soldiers came to escort the Shogun to however he got here. The president called Special Forces Teams Alpha, Omega, and Beta to Samuri Clanlords.
Samurai Clanlords
03-11-2004, 00:44
The Shogun felt tempted to draw his sword when Taft left so... uncouthly. Nevertheless, even if we could assassinate him, it'd do no good, as he'd likely only get killed. And leaving the lands to the care of his unruly son just yet, plus a national incident of great proportions wasn't a good idea.

As the bodyguards escorted him out, he grabbed a telephone. Shintaro heard a beep from his Shozoku. "Special Agent Kikuta Shintaro, we'll move on to plan B. Please ask our brethren to endure this plight peacefully." Shintaro sighed... And so, after delivering back the weaponry to the Metslandians, the Ninja met up with the Shogun, skillfully entering his limo without being sighted.

"You've done well, Shintaro." The Shogun told the man. "As well as all of you. Please, dress back to your civilian clothes." He pointed to the folded office clothes at the back seat. They all averted their eyes while Kagome dressed, as did she when it was their time. "We'll try and make them walk in circles. Remember, if worse comes to worse, we'll kill them all..."

They returned to their land by means of a private jet.

Uesugi Kyosuke, leader of the Uesugi clan and responsible for the Secret Services, met up with them, dressed in rich Samurai garb. Behind them, trailed a few armed soldiers, equiped with FAMAS and standart protective gear. "Welcome to our lands, foreigners. I am Uesugi Kyosuke, of the Uesugi Clan. At 20, I was charged to defend a small town with only a handful of men, and even after being shot repeatedly in my arms, I did not budge from my position until they had all been repelled." Stupid medieval bastards!" He socked the man one in the nose while he was bent, following up with a kick on his knee and a rotating punch on the side of the neck. Even if the foreigner was physically stronger, people of the Clans were highly skilled in unnarmed fighting. Kyosuke applauded his man. "Very good, private Sonoda. You're being kind enough to show these guests of ours Karate. Well, the hand wasn't empty at a given point, but..."

"That'll do." A voice spoke from the from behind. It was Shimada Yushiro, the heir to the Shogunate. "I know we're all less than happy to have these foreigners here, especially since they come to hunt those who are seen as heroes of the people, but we musn't resort to violence so gratuitously. You!" He pointed at the beaten soldier. "When someone offers you a gift, if you don't take it then that someone keeps the gift for himself. The same happens with insults. Learn that as you walk our lands. The Shogun rose an eyebrow when he saw the man entering the elevator. It wasn't... Taft himself. Only a messenger. "Good afternoon, as you know I'm Shimada Kanbei, Shogun of the Clans. And who might you be, gentleman?"

Yushiro gave an angry look at his men. "If you do something like that again, I'll decapitate you. We're going to have to fool these guys around until they give up. There's no need to make them feel angry towards us during the process." With that, he trailed behind them, getting on a jeep. When they arrived, he ran towards them, and bowed. "Please forgive my soldier's rude demeanor. I've already scolded him, and assure you that it shall not happen again."

Meanwhile, a woman in her early 20s was trailing after Wilson. "Excuse me..." She said in Japanese. "Could you tell me what time it is?"

In Zackaroth:

"Pleased to meet you, mr. Lama. May your presence in your nation's government be long and fruitful."

The woman thanked Wilson. "Darn... I'm late for the bus... Hey, could you give me a ride home, sir?"

The Shogun rose an eyebrow. These Metslandians were indeed arrogant fools. "I feel like not starting these talks at all. You've been extremely rude towards us from the start, first by not sending Taft, now by spitting on my attempt at courtesy. But since I don't want to waste president Aimless' time, I shall endure your uncouth presence."

In the meanwhile, a group of men prepared to disembark on Western Honshuu. A 20 strong Battalion of ST-21 tanks positioned themselves near the landing zone, in case worse came to worse.

The woman leaned towards Wilson. "Eeeeh? What type of errand is that?"

He got back to the base, and went on to the hangar, where his TA was waiting for him. He got dressed up, and climbed onto the one-man cabin inside the gigantic Armour. "Ok, Yushiro, today we'll go for a walk. The TAs legs were tampered with, so you'll be experiencing a few changes." He grinned. "Like it's harder to control than a horse!"

He began to drive back to the base, when he finally noticed the dots blinking on his radar. The Metslandians. He turned back, and tan towards them, pointing his KEM launcher at them. Turning off the communications system, he aimed at them... But when he shot, he intentively missed. "This is the welcoming you'll get if you ever return to my lands again! The agreement between Metslandia and the Clans is broken, go back to your damn nation and never dare setting your feet on Japanese soil again!" With that said (via his integrated megaphone on the TA's head), he went back to the base at last.

Dear Ambassador,
Our sattelite imaging shows higher activity than normal in the Metslandian bases that we can monitors. Although it may mean nothing, the tension between your countries makes this situation require more attention. Your order for armor for your troops is being shipped along in the flagship of our fleet, the Phoenix II. A small force of 500 troops is being sent to keep peace in your country. Also, if actual war breaks out, our troops are less than 13 hours away. Sleep well, and know that your citizens are always welcome inside Drogenhaas borders.

"Shintaro, are you there...?" Yushiro looked around, he felt the Ninja's presence. He seemignly materialized from the shadows. "Yes, my Lord. Your servant awaits your commands." The shogun smiled. His mentor would obey him. "Shishou, I told them to leave the country. Do you think there's any chance that my command be questioned by the other clans?" Shintaro waved his head. "No, they all prepare for war, but against the Metslandians. Right now, we're up against a common enemy. But you'll have to fight valiantly to make them admit your power."

Yushiro thought for a moment. "Shintaro, I'd like you to sabotage the Metslandian weapons. Likely, they'll use cowardly tactics to defeat us, since our elite warriors would best them in our territory. The state of DrogenHas sent us satellite footing of activity in certain military bases that I suspect include Nuclear weapons... And other things. Do you think it feasible to infiltrate their nation?"

Shintaro grinned. "Of course it is..." Little did Yushiro know that Kagome, the Kunoichi, had captured Wilson, and he had been questioned until he spat up just about any piece of personnal information. Shintaro had gone under plastic surgery, and now looked just like the man. He even trained his accent while at it, to fully realize the farse.

In the meanwhile, the TAs were mobilized, tanks patrolled the countryside, submarines patrolled the waters, frigates and destroyers kept close watch on the ports, and the Airforce cruised the skies.

The carrier Phoenix II and its surrounding fleet (6 attack submarines, 3 boomers, 2 carriers (including the Phoenix II) 3 Aegis Cruisers, 2 destroyers, 1 battleship and 10 transports) depart from the port city of Clogen Vaagen at a speed of 30 knots, keeping a direct course to the Smurai Clanlords port nearest to the front lines of the conflict. The men on the ships wave to the news helicopters buzzing overhead, knowing that very few of them will return to see their families. A recorded message starts to crackle over the loudspeaker of the Phoenix II
"All crew members report to wartime stations. All news helicopters, return to the coastline or be shot down. This is not a joke. Thank you."
All but one of the choppers immediately turn back toward the coast. One unfortunate pilot, however, stayed just too long to try to get the last picture. OOC:As far as I can remember its been 5%. Also a Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier costs a couple of billion just to BUY! Battleships a only 2-4 million dollars less expensive. A modern Ohio class Boomer(which ARE nuclear powered by the way) can cost up to 3.2 billion dollars. Make sure the attack subs are out of date(thus easily detectable and sunk), the destroyers are WW2 era, cut out the battleships and boomers, and the aircraft carrier so it is a late 1930s one and you will have a modest fleet(for your size anyways)... that is if you want to send your every single one of your major surface combatants out to sea.

EDIT:OH YEAH! You might want to make the aircraft something from the 1960s... such as a A-6 Corsair 2
