"'static'-begin final countdown-'static'-launch in 30 seconds-'static'-all systems go-'static'-t-minus ten, niner, eight, seven, six, fiver, four, three, two, one. LAUNCH!"

With a roar the Kruschev class Intermediate Ranged Ballistic Missile lifted into the air. It screeched towards the stratosphere at high speed. It quickly reached the stratosphere. Then the engine promptly burnt out. It turned down towards the Earth and fell full force. Without warning at 6,000 feet it exploded sending various small warheads off in different directions. Below was a arranged fake Battalion of old tanks and APCs, as well as dummies. Then a massive string of fireballs erupted in midair. Everything below 5,000 feet was pulverized by a shockwave. The tanks and APCs were tossed into the air and destroyed. The dummies which werent ripped apart were killed by falling of what seemed to be molten lead.

THe first test of what is known as a 'Burst Warhead' was a sucess.

OOC:There will be more later... until then... qeustions? comments? critisicms?

So, basically it's "shrapnel with a purpose".
Well, I can't say I don't like it, however it would be extremely hard to RP.

OOC:Its basicilly a battlefield support weapon. You can use it to soften up enemy regiments and divisions before attacking... or if you want, utterly annhilate enemy battalions. Its effectiveness is severly reduced agianst ship. It will take several to destroy a aircraft carrier.

IC:The camera's whirred at the goverment and Tech-Com Corp. spokesman at the press conference.

"And we are live," Said a cameraman, "In 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..."

The goverment spokesman began to speak, "Exactly 5 hours ago a Intermediate Ranged Ballistic Missile was fired into the Shavia Desert to test a newly developed warhead. This warhead was developed by the Tech-Com Corporation. Who will be speaking in a few moments. This 'Burst Warhead' is a battlefield support weapon. It can be used in aLL types of ballistic missiles, although it is prefered that the warhead is used in either a Medium Ranged Ballistic Missile or Intermediate Ranged Ballistic Missile. It can also be used as a bomb dropped from a high altitude cargo plane, much like the MOAB or FAE. We are even testing the possibilty of their use in cruise missiles that fly at 6,000 feet. Here is a Tech-Com Corporation official to talk about the way this new weapon operates."

The Goverment spokeperson turned to the Tech-Com Official who said, "The warhead isnt actually a single warhead, per se. It is actually a cone shaped iron casing with high explosives. Inside the metal casing are several Titanium warheads. Each of these warheads contain a variety of high explosives and large lead balls as well as a special explosive liquid that we call 'Nitroglycerine G', which is basicilly a safer-yet much more powerful- explosive then normal Nitroglycerine. A Proximity fuse detonates the main warhead at 6,000 feet. This sends the other warheads flying out in all direction. Those warheads then plummet to Earth until they reach 5,000 feet. In which they detonate in a humongous explosion. The resulting shockwave will pulverize land vehicles and aircraft flying lower than 5,000 feet. Infantry who survive the explosion will probably be killed by the superheated lead as it falls to Earth. This weapon has been tested and has taken out a battalion worth of vehicles and dummy personnel. Although results may vary depending on weather conditions, terrain, and other features. Tech-Com is selling these warheads at 50 million USD each. Thank you for your time."

OOC:The price might be to high or to low... someone give me a better price and I will fix it.
