Should the United States conduct a recount? Was President Mills unjustly elected?

The election was fair, and there will be NO recount. This is ridiculous....if the candidates you guy backed had won I assume you would all be applauding the election.

No, I still would have said that you supported Mills too much instead of giving each candidate an equal chance.

We'd like to make it clear...no matter what the outcome of this poll there will be no recount in the USN. Mills has been sworn in. Better luck next election.

Some of us are vehement about election fairness. I, myself, may resort to military action. My military is much stronger than yours.

Are you threatening war on the USN because you didn't like how the election went?

Some of us are vehement about national sovereignty. Now there definatley won't be a recount. The USN will not be intimidated by your threats.

"This is ridiculous," said the foreign minister, Dailey, shaking his head. "I'd bother the President, but he's in Hamptonshire attending the Crown Prince's funeral. I'll draft it up."

Official Statement

Thus far the only thing we have seen from the nations demanding a recount is pure speculation. In an absurdly irresponsible show of bias, nations are demanding a recount when there is no evidence to suggest the need for one. Further, the democratic elections of USN are seen as USN's sole concern. They do not need to listen to other nations on how to run their government or what to do, and they surely don't need to ask other nations who their president should be. The people have voted, and like it or not, the incumbent prevailed.

Cry us a river, but that's the way it is. And oh, by the way, it will stay that way.

OOC: It doesn't matter what the thread's poll says. USN controls his nation and controls who is elected. Last I checked, in no RL instance do other nations' opinions have sway on national elections.

I would help, but it would be classed as attempting to overthrow the government and it would violate %$^"£%$"£ UN regulation 49. Sorry YoS.

Random Kingdom believes that the USN will not recount because Mills won unfairly. If the USN disagrees, we would like Bill Coulter to step up and confirm this.

From: The Office of (Former) Senator Bill Coulter

Bill Coulter does not endorse a recount of the election. He beleives the election was fair and a recount would only divide this nation.

OOC: Something DOES smell fishy about all this...it does seem like the odds have been stacked against Bill Coulter. I join the chorus in calling for a recount.

CEO-Premier John Carter

OOC: Mills also had a rather large war chest. There's a bit of a story behind that one too. :p

Random Kingdom and United Arabians, with your approval I want to pursue this matter in the UN. I believe there is a flaw in Resolution #49 that needs correcting to ensure that elections are fair.

The Trinity of the Imperium demands a recount. We with the majority of the International believe the entire election was a sham and too much support was given to this...Hills character. We ask kindly now, this will not be the case later

This will be the last time that I warn you. We will not tolerate any further extortionary tactics by other nations who did not see their man of choice elected leader of the USN, and, as a neutral party*, see no evidence that a recount should be necessary. Furthermore, with the opposer's concession, the most basic grounds for a recount are eliminated.

Be it known that the sovereignty of the United States of Nick shall be respected, and that they are not bound by any sort of foreign demands. Concern yourselves with your own nation, and let them concern themselves with theirs.

Be it known that the defense secretary's wife is one year dead. Random Kingdom's fervent drive to interfere with the USN government is becoming increasingly childish in nature. :P
