Roger Fabus appeared on all the television stations as the White Peoples Radio and Television Network cut into all programming.

"Mississippians, a horrible and intolerable insult has been made against the purity of my wife, the Czarina, Alice Fabus... This cannot and will not be allowed to stand. Either Hogsweat will apologize, or his leader will accept my challenge for a pistol duel in a neutral country such as Louisiana, or we will pursue other options."

You're going to duel because of a little insult? What do you need to prove to a "marxist" in your words. You're obviously much more superior and you are above violence. Correct?

The government of P3X1299 recognizes and endorses both parties' right to satisfaction. We recognize the custom of dueling and it is entirely legal. If both parties desire it, we can hold the duel within P3X1299. We will of course sell tickets like good capitalists.

From: President J.L.

My friend, seeing as that we're both members of the Pact of Steel alliance, I shall do everything in my power to aid you against Hogsweat. If you would like me to intervene militarily against Hogsweat, just say the word and I'll deploy my armed forces to wipe him from the face of the earth.

On the record, we the Kelonian government would like to state that violence between national leaders is a childish way to settle disputes - but then so is name-calling in the first place.

Off the record, we think it's a marvellous idea - far less death than there would be in a war, and this way the people that start them get the comeuppance instead of the poor bastards they send off to to die.

ViZion is in disbelief over DA wanting to start a war over an insult. Don't be so childish. If you start a war over this, you will be considered an imperialist, and delt with properly.

ViZion, as part of the NWO, will defend Hogsweat. DA, don't be a damn baby about it. Deal with it like a real man would (man to man, not nation to nation!)

We do hope military action isn't on the cards here... afterall, from one blunder to another it would be most idiotic for a nation to take military action purely because one man insulted their leaders wife. These are modern days people; we're civilised now.

However... we suppose we should expect such a responce from those in Decisive Action. They are so easy to goad we are surprised it hasn't happened sooner.

Assuming some sense can be injected into the situation we hope this doesn't get out of hand.

Foriegn Minister Mick Lakely.

If you're looking to settle this face-to-face, we could offer you top billing at the Saturday Fight Night at the famous Sustadjen Stadium in Paztrom. A bout between national leaders would show who's really the better man - anyone can shoot a pistol or swing a sword, but it takes real skill to beat your opponent in the ring.

We can give both your nations free TV rights, too, as I'm sure both your peoples will be interested in this particular bout.

The government of LRR is disgusted and appalled by the actions of Roger Fabus. It is seen as even more reason why Mississippi is one of the most uncivilized places on earth.

Anyone who has such a lack of morals as to associate themselves with DA deserves to be shot.

But anyway, hopefully Roger Fabus will die. That would make the government very happy. Meanwhile, Pope Entwistle I declares Alice Fabus "the biggest bitch alive," just to see how Roger reacts.

Actually, from what I have read, Hogsweat has stated no lies about any member of the nation of Decisive Action, whether in government or not. In fact, last night there was a wonderful program on EBN depicting the Czarina of DA as sleeping with everything that moves.
I do not take responsibility for anything EBN happens to air, even if the government does happen to own EBN, they do happen to have a piece of paper with my signature on it ordering them to both create and air the program, and I did make it a special point to have the program broadcasted across half the known universe. EBN is officially a separate entity from the government and officially outside our control.

He's likely to do niether... given his nations military backing and the shear damage it would politically do to Decisive Action to actually go to war over something as insignificant as a single insult it has to be said that the best thing he can do is to stand by his comment and refuse to withdraw or duel.

The is no leverage to do either and the possible gains are substantial.

ViZion is very glad to hear that DA has backed down from its threats, and is willing to small things go by in the bigger picture.

The people working at Strange Comedy (ViZion's version of "Comedy Central") make fun of this, showing a man dressed up as President Maybury of ViZion, who (in this show) looks like a hobbit, saying "Good boy..." to a man dressed up as a monkey with Roger Fabus' face, while patting the 'monkey' with one hand and giving him a cookie with the other. Strange Comedy does not always resemble ViZion's view of things, and has nothing to do with what our government says or does.

I'm Mary Bragglestein and you're watching the Enigma Bragging Network.

Today the leader of Decisive Action decided to stop bothering his superiors and beg for his life. After six hours of grovelling like a broken child, the nation of Hogsweat decided to allow him to live. We're honestly surprised it took him this long.

In other news, we will be continuing our series on the Fabus family, tonight dealing with Roger Fabus and his obsession with being beaten unconcious by chimpanzees. What a sick, sick little world they live in.

In a sketch lampooning today's *ahem* major political event, highly-rated zany comedy show Mer Serkne Lytechne portrayed a serious political debate on the environment descending into slapping fights and high-pitched cries of "my daddy's bigger than yours" and "who's got a girly nose then".

Station bosses issued a statement, but the cat ate it.
