Australarctic Belt

World Factbook Entry: In it's infancy was the confederation of Australia, New Zealand, The Cook Islands, Macquarrie islands, and New Guinnea. Has narrowed significantly over time and has welcomed the island belt that recently transformed under the gradual effects of global warming, with temperate isles north of the antarctic evolving into sub-tropical wildernesses. Natural resources are abundant, primarily oil and fisheries. Also geographically placed to control the populous Antarctic straits, main shipping route between Southern Africa and Southern America.

There are significant tracks of land and sealanes to be claimed North of the now significantly reduced Antarctic. Much like the Lost World this new sub-tropical wilderness is not as industrialised as her neighbours but is set to grow fast.

The mission statement of the region is:

1. To act as a strong international example of strong economic management and symbiotism with the environment.

2. To institute a strong military presence, to be renown for strength and respect, in order to work for regional security and to enable global participation.

3. To foster the human spirit and allow opportunity to prevail for individuals in our societies.

4. To be world leaders in the key fields of cricket, tennis, and rugby to inspire, unite and drive the infant nations of the region
