Claus turned to the monitor. It was an easy day at Samtonian Monitoring Communications Bureau, the massive monitoring agency that existed to watch, listen, snoop, pry, and generally be the nosy-neighbor on all broadcasts, both television and radio, within Samtonia.
Claus really had been having a nice day. Nothing much was going on, he was expecting to be able to go home early- but all that changed in an instant.
As Samtonian satellites picked up an unidentifiable broadcast transponder code, they cycled it to Claus’ desk to verify and ascertain what was being said by the message. And Claus didn’t like what he was reading.
“Holy shit,” he whispered, “This could mean open rebellion. Looks like I’ll be here for a while.”

We hope this message got to you. We, the Free Concordat of Samtonian Peoples, beseech you for help. The rogue leaders of Samtonia will not stand for our freedom. Already, we fear they dispatch troops. We have nowhere near enough troops, equipment, or fighting experience.
This is where you, the army of Jurrik, comes in. We will pay top dollar for a military organization like yours to safeguard our fledgling nation. Please, think of the innocents that may be killed if you do not help. And if that doesn’t sway you, please think of your pocketbooks.
Any forces will aid us, and we will pay you as such.
