Crew 3 commander, driver, gunner
Range finder ,GPS and laser range finding, night vision
Engine- gas turbine
Armour- 180mm of composite chobum

Notes :fully enclosed and resistant to NBC

the main cannon has no flash because it uses no chemical propelant of any kind this makes it extreamly good at and for night fighting

How the GPS range finding works the tank sends a laser to the satellite containing a area to search (usually half a square mile, any more than half a square mile will result in the satellite missing potential targets) it looks for heat signatures and will beam it back to the tank

High velocity main cannon “blow pipe” the projectile is accelerated form the position it is loaded In by a series of high powered electromagnets the lack of friction on the projectile (due to the electro fields that suspend the shell). Once the order to fire is given the series of magnets that line the length of the barrel are switched on in a sequence leading on up the barrel this allows the projectile to leave the barrel at Mack 6 as there is no explosion there is also no recoil this makes the tank extremely accurate on the move.

The shell the shell is made out of pure iridium (the densest metal known to man) covered in a steel counting. This makes the shells extremely expensive that is why the engineers of VMI were desperate to make sure that the tomahawks main gun was extremely accurate this was accomplished by the laser and GPS range finders. The blow pipe is almost 98% accurate.

Due to the expensive shells and high quality construction, one tomahawk MBT
will cost $15 million

you could blow it up with air power

How can it have limitless range if it runs on a gas turbine? O.o

Also, from how you describe the main gun, it's a linear gun.

why do your shells have to be so hard its not like your gonna fight a diamond tank

You can blow almost any tank up with air power so saying that you just
poo poo all tanks in genaral.

so you are almost 100% sure of a kill, plus it could be used to engage enamy bunkers , and before you say air power... it is not the all conquering thing it is craked up to be

First, please do note a 4 mile direct fire range under normal circumstances. Without the high ground, the curvature of the earth prevents you from doing more. 9 miles would require the vehicle to be 10 meters (33 feet) higher than the target, otherwise it won't be visible, and direct fire is line-of-sight.

Second, the muzzle velocity for the main gun is too low. Current Sabot rounds leave the barrel at about Mach 4.

Third, armor is a bit light there, and there's some confusion as you alternately list 45mm and 120mm.
For armor protection, it's best to use the standard of equivalent to RHA, making it easier to tell what the actual protection is. And remember about sloping!

Fourth, diamonds are the hardest substance you'll find, true. However, they have good cleavage, so they'll have a tendency to break apart in such high impacts. That's why we don't diamond-tip all shells.

I was unaware of any type of linear gun so i appoligise for that. i got my idea for the weapon from mag-trians.
With regards to the gas turbine i was wrong i was thinkng of a genarator turbine (nuclear style) I now relise this is kind of impposibe unless you want a radioactive tank.

Heh, no need to apologize. I use linear guns myself on my tanks-- their only issue is requiring a lot of power.

ooc> Thats what I do, except I call it guerilla warfare. You can turn off a lot of potential allies if you call it terrorism. But then again, my guerillas are only deployed to upset supply routes and assasinate officers and heads of state, so it is technically not terrorism.
