Last night, Martin Jordan, a prominent Taldaani scientist specialising in the research of humans, passed away in his sleep. He was seventy-six.
He leaves behind a wife, two sons, and a grand-daughter.
Respected by his peers, he was responsible for bringing down the Taldaan Eugenics Society in a scientific debate in 1986. Last year, he was awarded a Taldaani Award for Services to Science. He has had several books and papers published, and has appeared many times on Taldaani television and radio programs. He is also famous for his use as the model for the scientist statue in Monument Square.
As he was a Christian, his funeral will take place in the Church of Saint Paul, the largest Christian church in Taldaan. After the service, he will be buried in the Yewtrees National Cemetary. Attending the funeral will be Maria Santiago, the Taldaani Minister of Science and Research. Any delegates from foreign countries are welcome.
ooc: All nations are welcome to come along and join in. Please RP with at least a little skill. The closest port is Kingsview Dock and the closest airport is Taldaan International. This is a peaceful RP, so anyone doing anything militaristic or overly violent (arguments are allowed, but no murder) will be kicked out and ignored. No WMDs.
