In a recent discovery, the Free Lands of Tiamat Taveril discovered the planet it and the Most Serene Republic of DemonLordEnigma are, in fact, not close to a mere 2000 light years away from the nearest Sol. In fact, they are closer to 2 x 10^2000 light years from the nearest Sol.
A Tiamat Taveril ship, delivering scientists to join in with ISEC members, had a FTL Jump Drive malfuntion and were forced to stop. It was then they discovered the massive spacial array sitting approximately where they would have exitted at. The array is of unknown construction, unknown materials, and built by an unknown people. The array is currently thought to "slingshot" people across the universe using unknown means. Scientists are at a loss to explain how they misclassified something so massive as a minor cloud of spacial dust.
Whether or not other ships can use this array from the current exit point is currently unknown, though the constant use by the Taverils and DLEs suggests it can be done, though how is unknown.
The immediate ramifications make it impossible for star charts to be created by the Taverils or DLEs due to current inaccurate information on actual length of travel to the nearest known star.
All nations are welcome to help try to investigate this mystery and figure out how it works.
