Greenmanbry

In a shocking move today, Greenmanbry Military Command has decided to sell off a signifiant portion of its naval vessels to an ally, Ottoman Khaif. The move came after the Department of Defense received concerns from the Ministry of Finance directed at the huge operating budget required to maintain Greenmanbry's large military. The Navy has been consuming trillions of dollars in DoD funds for the past decade, and Military Command has noticed a significant portion of the Navy is not in operation.
The number of combat vessels in the GMB Navy shall decrease from the current 1,110 warships to a more economical and maintaineable 942 warships.
168 warships are being sold to Ottoman Khaif. These include the GMB Navy's Thirtieth Assault Battlegroup, as well as GMB's Twenty-First "Baghdad" Fleet. The composition of the warships being dispatched to OK are as follows:

2 Storm Class Hovercraft Carriers
5 Legionary Class Minesweepers

============================================
Although the value of the contract is estimated at 320 billion dollars, OK has decided to pay 1 trillion Ottoman Dinars, the equivalent of ~1.435 trillion dollars, for the delivery of the vessels. Although some critics questioned the rationale behind this decision, the Ministry of Finance welcomed it. (OOC: :D)
This cut in the number of naval vessels will shave over 200 billion dollars in annual operating costs of the GMB Navy.
