Staff Sergeant Jacques Devoux was exectuted in a most unorthodox manner. On October 21, 2004 15:05:34, Devoux was charged and found guilty of sexually assaulting, and killing, 17 year-old Sofia LeBroauva, and the deaths of Michael Lane (23), Charles DeBronson (25), and Jason DeBronson (20) in New Lanchia City. LeBroauva was said to have screamed for help, while Devoux had her pinned against a wall in a dark alley, near 133rd street. When three men came to LeBroauva's aide, Deveoux shot the three men, each in the head. By the time the police arrived at the scene of the crime, LeBroauva and the three men were found dead behind a liquor store just a few short steps down the block. Search teams spread out through New Lanchia to search for Devoux.
About an hour later, Sergeant Devoux was found passed out under a service tunnel. Apparently, he was drunk and had fallen victim to his liquor. In court, Devoux pleaded guilty and was also found guilty on 6 charges and was given the death penalty by Judge Louis Feremornt II. Rather than lethal injection, firing squad, or by hanging, Devoux was sentenced to a new type of execution. The Fracene government passed a new bill, allowing the new execution to be allowed in the military and only in the military.
On October 27, 2004 13:30:27 Devoux was strapped to a wooden post and blindfolded in an open target range. An FA-22K was ordered up, in front of the witness stands. Devoux's last requests were to appologize to the families of the men and the young woman he'd harmed. At 13:45:48, the 22 opened fire, vaporizing Devoux in an instant. Devoux was pronounced dead at 13:45:50.
The senate is debating on whether the new penalty should remain or if it is too harsh of a punishment for an individual to endure. More on this, later...
