Official Statement from the Autocratic Collective
Please let it be known that the Autocratic Collective of Majesto sends its condolences to the people and government of Hamptonshire. The Crown Prince was very close with the Most Supreme Dictator and his death is a deep blow to all of us as he was a great man with a large heart. Although Majesto is in turmoil as we attempt to find these terrorists who committed this massacre, I wish to attend the funeral of the Crown Prince on behalf of Majesto. I ask that you reserve two seats for me though - one for myself and one in the name of the Most Supreme Dictator.
If at all possible, I would like to eulogize the Crown Prince as he was a man that all Majestoians, especially the MSD, held close to his heart.

The Royal Household Directorate regretfully has to turn down your offers to attend the Crown Prince's Funeral. Our nations currently do not have established diplomatic ties. During this time of great mourning, we still hold in our hearts and utter in our prayers the Most Supreme Dictator. It is the wish of all Hamptonians for our great friend and ally to recover from his injuries. The Grand Duke, during the planning of the funeral, insisted that the MSD be given the opportunity to eulogize the Crown Prince. Since at this time the MSD is unable to attend, we shall extend every curtosy to you.

From: Dr. Chester Olendorf, Prime Minister
Subject: Security
We, the Government of the Grand Duchy of Hamptonshire, must state that security personnel will not be allowed within Hamptonshire City. The three hundred thousand man strong Capital Defense Corps of the Royal Army will be supplimented by an addition four hundred thousand military personnel. The normal 25-mile No Fly Zone will be extended to 50-miles. Our National Defense Network has been placed on High Alert in preparation for the funeral.
The last concern on a day of mourning should be security, the funeral will be conducted under tight protocols. Nothing will interfere with the mourning process.
To: Grand Duchy of Hamptonshire
Attn: Royal Household Directorate
Our Sorrows are with you in this mourning, and we would endeavor to attend the funeral of this fine man. Would that I would have met him in person. This truly becomes the one true regret in my life.
Vastiva itself shall observe a three day period of mourning. All businesses and federal offices shall be closed at the onset of the funeral, out of respect.
If it were a lesser personage, Vastiva would satisfy its obligations by sending official mourners, a missive, perhaps a speaker. In this tragedy, we believe no lesser gesture will do.
As such, I myself shall attend the funeral.
If it is permitted, Grand Vizier Raahmid Javani and General Riva Sola al-Din have asked to be permitted to attend, as it was their offices which are most closely tied to NATO, and through that organization, to Hamptonshire. Though I must add, I believe there is something of a sense of loss and obligation from both, and a cloud of sorrow.
Our 74SL shall have an escort of two F-136 Peregrine fighters until within range of Hamptonshire, where the escorts will be turned to land with our 2nd Fleet, remaining far out of Hamptonshire airspace out of respect.
We place ourselves entirely in your care.
In sorrows,
Namaste,
Sinjin Lefkowitz al-Din, Sultan and State of Vastiva

The entire Royal Family* is touched by your message and with your show of unity with us in our, and our nation's, time of sorrow. The Grand Duke and I shall not forget your personal gesture. It is a great irony that the first time we shall meet shall be over the coffin of the slain Crown Prince.
Your Majesty, as you most certain are a Head of State, you will be allowed to participate in the Funeral Procession down the Avenue of Tears. According to our customs you may be accompanied by either the Head of Government or the head of your nation's military.
We thank you for your show of respect. As per Hamptonian law, at the two hundred and fifty nautical mile mark your plane will be escorted by Royal Air Force jets. If you intend to send naval vessels near Hamptonshire you must keep them either outside of the five hundred nautical mile patrol radius of the HomeFleet or your ships will be escorted by a one to one ratio by Royal Navy vessels. This has been our way for centuries and is amendend for no one.
With deepest respect,
Princess Patricia Anne Cessar, MC

The camera focuses for a few seconds, then clears up. A man looks up from a desk, holding papers. He is wearing a black uniform, and has a silver star on each collar tab. A flag is hanging from the wall behind him. It is the flag of Hamptonshire, but with the word 'Freedom' stitched on in black.
Hello. I would like to take this moment to read a message to all of those saddened by the Crown Princes' death. We, the soldiers of the national liberation front of Hamptonshire, in the
name of the workers and all the oppressed of this imperialist country
have struck a fatal blow to the racist police state! What better revolutionary example than to let the Crown Prince perish in
the inhuman way of his own imperialist government?
We cannot claim lone responsibility for this, as the People's Soldiers for Independent Portshire also contributed to the death of that fascist!
We know you will begin your war to destroy freedom now, but be warned! We will not be sheep for your Grand Duchy! Pull the triggers and be damned!
Our founder, Aken Serpentis, died for a Free Hamptonshire. We will do the same if we must. But remember:

The personal aircraft of the Emperor, and by extension his family, was a PDE-powered aircraft that vaguely resembled the Tu144, but without the odd bending nose. On this day they were flying to the Grand Duchy of Hamptonshire to attend the funeral of the late Crown Prince. The aircraft's escort, four F-125S interceptors, peeled off twenty miles before entering Hamptonshire airspace and the lone transport continued on. Another fifteen minutes and they had begun their approach onto Prince Elector Fredrick IV RAFB. When they landed they were almost immediately taken to the Grand Duke's personal helicopter, a favor which the Emperor's family appreciated greatly, and began the ride to Hamptonshire City.
[Okay, that sucked, but they're there now.]
The Funeral RPing is in the other thread found here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=369034).

It is a sad day in the lands of both Hamptonshire and Tenarius. If the Queen were alive, she would undoubtadly attend the funeral herself. Seeing as how she is not, I would like to request that I turn up in her stead. The Crown Prince was a good man, and although I never met him, he has done wonders in the world.
