The Grand Republic of Demidia - ESCO Aviation

F1000 “Millenium” Multi-Role Fighter

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/row/jas4.jpg

The Emerald Shipyard Corporations first try at a fighter. The Millenium is a high-tech multirole fighter, quite possibly one of the best in the world. After the fall of the Demcor Corporation, Demidia needed another source for its military needs. The Emerald Shipyard Company was born, after a few years, it branched from warships to missiles and now, to fighters. We think we have hit a winner with the Millenium. Its a sensational fighter - one of the best in the world. With its canard layout and delta wing, hi-tech features and ability to operate from short, unfinished airfields, Demidia's new warplane is also as fast and manoeuverable as any plane in its class, the same class as the Eurofighter, Raptor, and Rafale. Although much smaller in size, it is capable of lifting just as great a warload. It has been cleared to carry anti-ship missiles, guided air-to-surface missiles, bombs, guided bombs, cluster bombs, air to surface rockets and air-to-air missiles.

Dogfighter
Armed with DAA-101 “Racer” Medium Range Air to Air Missile and a powerful 27mm cannon, it can scrap with the best of them.

Single Engine
Unlike most of the next generation fighters of tomorrow, the Millenium features a single engine based of the Orenda Iroquois engine of the 50s, don't let the age of the technology fool you, the original Iroqouis pumped out a whopping 30,000 pounds of thrust with afterburners. ESCO Engineers have tweaked the original Iroquois to meet government requirements of costs and weight. The ESCO's Iroquois II pumps out 37,251 pounds of thrust, this more than meets the Milleniums needs, and therefore, only requires one engine.

Air Defender
The Millenium can be equipped with 4x DAA-102 “Fatboy” Long Range Air to Air Missiles and 2x DAA-101 “Racer” Medium Range Air to Air Missiles. Paired with the Zoogie "Beagle" Phased Array Radar it poses a huge threat to incoming bombers.

Cockpit
A bubble canopy offers a superior 360degree panoramic view for the pilot. Specially structured seats and a remarkable 6 point harness strap the pilot in safley, yet comfortably as well. Various systems have been enabled for superior piloting, including fly-by-wire technology, a armrest mounted mini-joystick for improved mobility through tough g-force banks.

Stealth
Although no Nighthawk or Raptor, the F5 does have some stealth qualities.

-Radar Protection
A radar absorbant material coats most of the hull, making it harder for radar to be echoed back to the station.

-Visual Stealth
A special paint scheme hides the plane from view with the naked eye, also a cold acid is sprayed on the exhaust as the leaves the plane to eliminate any contrails produced. The pilot can also adjust the speed and altitude of the aircraft to eliminat contrails.

Inner Structure
The structural loads of the F3000 are absorbed by multiple titanium bulkheads.

Wings
The Rapier has large wings to allow it to perform at high speeds, they also double as fuel tanks. The leading edge allow it to have an extremely high angle of attack over 75 degrees.

Weapons Bay
The weapon bays are all internally concealed (much like a stealth bomber). On the low bottom left and right sides of the aircraft. The missiles are ejected out by a special mechanism. The aircraft can house 2 external Racer Medium Range AAM and 4 internal Fatboy Long Range AAM.

Armament
The F3000 featrues dual left and right wing root mounted 30mm Rotary Cannons. The bullets fired are longer and are spun using a carbon composite. The Rapier features 2 Racer Medium Range AAM externally, and 4 internal Fatboy Long Range AAM.

Landing Gear
The landing gear is produced by Adtopolis Engineering, and is a tricycle type with the rear pylons featuring tandem wheel undercarriages allowing it to take off and land in hazardous conditions.

Stealth
To be stealthy, a plane must:
- Be hard to see with the naked eye.
- Making no sound.
- Heat signature must be minimal.
- The plane must absorb radar beams.
- Contrails and other signatures must be eliminated.

Radar Protection
The F3000 was designed to be as stealthy as possible, the Rapier is triangular shaped to reflect radar waves away from radar stations. As another feature, radar absorbent material covers the entire fuselage

Heat Reduction
Heat signatures are a weakness to any stealth aircraft, the Iroquois III Engines featured on the Rapier are designed to minimize heat, the tail of the plane also helps conceal to heat signature of the aircraft.

Turbulence Reduction
Turbulence is caused by the movement of the plane through the air. The Rapier is EXTREMELY aerodynamic to eliminate any turbulence caused by the Mach 2.6+ speed of the Rapier.

Visual Stealth
A special paint scheme hides the plane from view with the naked eye, also a special cold acid is sprayed on the exhaust as the leaves the plane to eliminate any contrails produced.

Radar
The radar used on the Rapier is the Russian Zaslon Radar capable of over 150+ miles range. This allows the Rapier to target over 7 targets at once, allowing it to be very successful in the battlezone.
