Operation: “New Beginning”




The armada drew closer to YUMYUMTUMTUM. After seeing how YYTT was positioned (kind of like Florida) they had decided to attack from the south. Captain James Throne stood at the front of the ship smoking a cigar. He was on the destroyer Might and Honor. It served as the Vanguard, sailing a good distance ahead of the rest of the fleet.

He heard they called this “Operation: New Beginning” because it would be a new beginning for the people of YYTT. They were going to remove the warlord and turn YYTT into a free kingdom were people could live happily, hence new beginning.

He began to think about what kind of defenses YUMYUMTUMTUM would put up. He once again checked his dessert eagle he had strapped onto his leg. He had already checked it 5 times today. But he couldn’t help but be nerves. This was the first full scale war he had been a part of.

He then checked his watch, 8:30 P.M He noticed the sun setting. The Captain then saw someone approaching from the port side. He turned to see it was Commander Fritz.

Fritz: Sir, we should be near land by twenty two hundred hours.

Throne: Good, wait 15 minutes and then have every one get to their battle stations.

Fritz: Aye sir.

And with that Commander Fritz left. The captain turned back to the front and waited. It was now dark and he could see the light of the moon reflecting off of the water. Captain Throne put out his cigar and stared forward.


The time was drawing near when they would be at YUMYUMTUMTUM….

And there would be blood tonight…

They were now off the coast of YUMYUMTUMTUM’s south border. Captain Throne couldn’t believe what he saw. YYTT had not deployed a single destroyer or cruiser. The only thing at the south shore was a single Nimitz class Aircraft carrier.

He gave out the orders to the commander:

2 of the destroyers and 3 of the cruisers were to go for the single AC.

While that was occupied the other ship were to escort the amphibious assault ships to shore

The Captain left the deck and went inside for safety. He watched from and window as 20 F18s took of from the kitty hawk.10 went to protect other ships and 10 went to destroy the enemy AC. None of them headed for the beach yet because they would need large numbers to take out the Anti-air systems.

He gave the order for the two Kidd class destroyers that were in position to fire their Mk-46 torpedoes.

The torpedoes were fired. The sailed across under the surface of the water. He watched and waited to see if they hit and what damage they caused.

It was clear now that the war had started, and there would be no victory until one of these nations military was completely obliterated.

So, why have you chosen to "free" this country. Will they accept your assistance?

OoC: Two things for you to remember:

#1: Remember to TG your opponent so he actualy knows your invading him.

#2: You are leaning towards a serious GODmod since you seem to be deciding what your opponent is doing, unless you've talked this over with YYTT this is GODmodding.

OOC: Go to the link at the beginning of the first post. That was the declaration of war. Also He says in that post what he deployed and all he said for navy was 1 Nimitz AC.

OoC: I have read it, but its still "leaning" towards a GODmod, since your basicly assuming you'd get to his post in one piece. Most nations atleast have some form of anti shipping measures; be it mines, other surface ships, submarines, coastal guns/missles batteries or even boarding parties.

OOC: He has posted his entire military down to the last pistol and has not included those things.

OoC: Probably a numberwanker that didn't thought of his personaly less interesting equipment(altough usualy alot more effective).

But we'll see how this turns out anyway.

OOC: Yeah, thanks for trying to help.

He won't be on until tonight sometime he said.
