[Scene: Federal court in the nations capital. The judge is about to hand down punishment.]

Chief Judge Marcus "The Axe" Killjoy: "You stand here convicted, by a jury of your peers, of the crimed of sedition, murder, treason, drug smuggling, illegal use of a deadly weapon, posession of crimminal tools and destruction of private property. How do you plead."

All 23 men say, "Not guilty."

Killjoy: "You realize that the punishment for these crimes happens to be life in prison, if you were to confess?"

All 23 nod.

Killjoy: "And that by sitting there and maintaining innocence and not confessing you condemn yourselves completely?"

The men nod again.

Killjoy: "Do any of you wish to confess to these crimes?"

The men stand there and do nothing.

Killjoy: "Then I condemn you all to be impaled until dead. Your punishment will be enacted today at noon."

The men start crying as they are dragged to their cells. Some of them begin to rip their clothing and gnash their teeth.

The crowd had grown steadily over the course of the last 3 hours since the punishment was announced. Nearly 350,000 people were gathered in the cities center waiting to observe the men being impaled. Noon came as the last of the civilians were being allowed into the city center. The gates were then closed adn the police were stationed around the center. 23 spikes were placed evenly around the Emperor's tower.

Judge Killjoy: "Citizens, these men were convicted by a jury of vile and sinful crimes. These men denied their crimes and denied their own salvation. These men decided their own fate when they failed to confess. I bring you all here to witness to their execution. Guards, begin the punishment."

The guards start the process on each individual prisoner. The remaining prisoners follow the guards as they watch another one of their own being impaled on iron spikes. They watch, in horror, as they look into the near future. They see their fate. Many of them cry, many of their had exhausted their tears and look on in horror.

The last of the prisoners was impaled, and the men were slowly beginning to die.
