((OOC: Just to remind the community that I've come back from the dead.))

This is Cee-Enn-Enn....

In what can only described as a tactic of shock, Scythirus held another one of its infamous arms parades today, showing off its surplus of tanks, missiles, and infantry in the streets of its capital, Jihamed. Later, a dummy satellite was fired upon by a nuclear weapon to show off the capabilities and achievements of the country's military.

The Emperor, Krildahd Voramix, was quoted to have said that he "wanted to freak out his neighbors a little and remind the world why he's still in power." Later, most of the citizens partied in the streets before the Great Palace, showing their patriotic support of Scythirus.

Many countries around the world are commenting on how strange a celebration this was. An eccentric display by and eccentric nation ruled by an eccentric leader.

~Incomming electronic transmission~
Drunken Minister Enigma, Dictator of the Most Serene Republic of DemonLordEnigma, wishes to say hello to this nation. That, and point out it is not alone in being eccentric.

President Zaitsev had watched the celebrations on his monitor and was smiling cheerfully. Perhaps Ratheia could have one of those parade thingies. He was visibly impressed by Scythirus's mighty army and it's display of power and so he decided tos end a message through his video monitor to their Emperor, Krildahd Voramix. The light flickered on and the message was sent through.

"Congratulations Emperor Krildahd Voramix on the success of your military parade! It was a truly spectacular thing to watch and I for one thought it was highly impressive. With luck and a bit of diplomacy I hope our two countries will maintain good relations. I look forward to possibly meeting you. With regards!"

He transmitted the message and then sat back in his swivel chair with wheels. Oh he loved his swivel chair...

Hmmm. It might be a bit more awe-inspiring if my "Ruler of the Month" club hadn't just sent me videotapes of the "Greatest Blunders in Military Parade History".

However, nice try. Maybe someone somewhere will quake in fear.

After reading the intelligence report, Scythirus bares its nasty, big, pointy teeth, Lord Eldric soundly concluded, 'What an eccentric performance.' Then, after a pause, he added, 'We should build up the military some more now.'

'Of course, m'lord,' answered his aide.

President Gordon Lew was channel surfing (it was a slow day in Xenizen politics), and he saw this:

He then said "whatever," turned off the TV and got back to work. Just before he picked up his pen, he called the Secretary of State: "Hey Gretchen (referring to Gretchen Leang, Sec. of State), dija see that parade-"

"Yeah!" Secretary Leang said. "Wasn't it a bit humorous?"

"I suppose," said Gordon. "But in case these guys are serious, tell the Treasury Secretary to give more money to the Defense Department."

"I'll let him know," said Gretchen, who then laughed and hung up.
