Imperial Palace, Athens
Aris was the third son of the Emperor Nikolaos. He was walking down the hall of the Imperial Palace when he noticed a very beautifull woman standing outside the doors of his father’s office. The whole world vanished in front of him and he can only see the woman. He had this weird feeling in his heart that he had never had before. He was very good at describing his emotions and feelings and new he was in love with her even if it was at first sight. When he came back to his senses he noticed that she was handcuffed and that a soldier was guarding her. He walked up to the soldier.
“Why is this woman here handcuffed?” demanded Aris.
“She is Sinestra a Euroslavian and sister of Empress Destra of Euroslavia. She has been captured and is now here to meet with Nikolaos.”
Aris had a very strong anti-Euroslavian stance in the Assembly. But not matter what he still loved this woman no matter whose sister she is and her nationality.
“Unhand cuff her. She is now under my protection and care.”
“But sir she has to see-”
“I don’t care. As the Constitution says the son of the Emperor has the right to order all government officials and including the army.”
“Alright sir.”
He took out the key and un handcuffed here.
“I am sure you are tired now so you can get a nice hot bath at on of the rooms in the palace and then sleep.”
Sinestra didn’t know what to say. She was shocked that a Greek will treat her this way after all those stories she heard about the Greeks in the Euroslavian Senate. The only words that came out of her mouth were “thank you”. She followed Aris to a room in the Imperial Palace. The room was huge. There was a big comfortable bed. A bookshelf full of different kinds of books. A beautifull hand made carpet that covered the whole floor of the room. There was a desk with a computer on it with internet and a telephone. There where also many drawers in the room. There where other two doors in the room. One led to the closet and the other to the bathroom

Sinistra wasn't sure how to react. She had been in exile for years. She felt like she was the ugliest woman alive, after being isolated from the world for so long. There was so much she wanted to learn about, so much she wanted to see. But then she began to think...
The Greeks and Euroslav's are fierce enemies, despite the fact that at one point, a long time ago, we used to be the same nation. Their rivalry can compare to the likes of the Greeks-Trojans back during the Trojan War...
She thought a little more, and began to chuckle..
And I suppose that I am Queen Helen.
She began to laugh even more as she slipped into the bath that Aris directed her to.
"Who is this Aris character? What does he see in me?" she said quietly.
"Is he only using me for revenge against Euroslavia? If only I knew what was going on..."

Aris’s Office, Imperial Palace, Athens
Aris took the phone and started dialing in a number.
“Hello?” said the voice from the phone.
“Hey John it’s me Aris!”
“Hello Aris. What can I do for you?”
“Well since you are in the restaurant business do you know any romantic Mediterranean restaurants in Athens with a good view?”
“Sounds like you got yourself a date. Well there is one I know which is very good but very expensive.”
“I am the Emperor’s son here.”
“You got me there. Well back on topic. The restaurant is called the Mediterranean Restaurant and it’s located in Athens’s harbor. It has a good view and its very romantic and don’t worry the place doesn’t smell like fish.”
“Good. Call them up and book me a table with a good view.”
“No problem.”
“Ok bye.”
Aris hanged up. He felt very much in love. Tonight will be perfect and nothing can go wrong.

One of Aris’s bodyguards went into Sinestras’s room carrying a note. Sinestra was still in the bath and didn’t hear the door opening. The soldier decided to get over with it. He placed the note on the desk and quietly walked out and slowly closing the door behind him.
The message on the note:
Dear Sinestra,
I am guessing you are very hungry by now because the soldiers that escorted you from Generia into Greece said you had nothing to eat. So I would like to take you out for dinner. I hope you do not refuse my invitation since it will deeply upset me. This can be an opportunity for us to talk. There will be a soldier waiting outside of your room guarding you. Take the guard with you and go shopping at Athens’s shopping plaza to get a new dress and anything you need. My credit card is right next to the note so buy as much as you need.

After a very long bath, Sinistra looked at the time and realized that it had been an hour since she first got into it. She leaped up, out of the water, and grabbed some clothes to put on.
It had been a long time since she had actually interacted with anyone, so she had lost some sort of formality, in that respect, but it's not like she forgot the English language or anything that serious. Sinistra had grown to become a very independent person, free from socialization, worries, fear, etc. Back in exile, on Pirate Isle, she had nothing to worry about.
Sinistra got dressed and saw a note on the desk in the corner and read it. Seeing the card he left behind, she was confused. Why was he being so helpful? Why was he giving her all of this money?
"I suppose time will only tell. In the meantime....I haven't been shopping in....well, I can't remember when. I've been in exile for a few years now..."
She sighed, and looked as if she was going to cry, but she mustered up her strength, smiled, and opened the door.

The Hoplite turned around to see the door opening and Sinestra coming out.
"I am Niko Hassakis, Hoplite of the Phalanx Army assigned by Aris Onassis to guard you and escort you anywhere you go. Your limo is waiting outside of the Imperial Palace. If you follow me I will show you where it is."
Euroslavia

"Sure thing, Niko."
She followed him to the limo. When they got there, she had a few questions for him.
"Why exactly is Aris doing all of this for me? What is so special about me that he would give me his credit card, which essentially has majority of his money on it? Why does he feel he can trust me when he barely knows me?"
Nikolaos The Great
29-10-2004, 00:23
While he opened the door for Sinestra he said to her.
"Well he didn't say anything to me but from what I saw I think he loves you. He has married before but he didn't truly love that woman. It was only for political reasons but I think he truly loves you. Well we should be getting to the shops soon. They will be closing in a few hours."

Her body shook at the thought of someone loving her. It's been a long time since she actually felt like she was loved. Since way before her brother was murdered. Again, she almost started to cry, but didn't want to give the guard a bad impression of her, as being weak. After being on that island for so long, one learns to hold everything in, because there was no one to talk to.
They began to pull up to the shopping center, where all of the most expensive clothing was. She didn't quite feel comfortable here... heck, she looked like she was a hooker, but it didn't bother her. What other people think doesn't matter to her anymore. The limo stopped right in front of a place called "Parody". It was a shop for evening dresses. She got out of the limo, and stared at the clothing in the window. Everything was so elegant. Sinistra was about to walk back to the limo and refuse to go shopping, but then she realized that it would be nice to actually do something for herself for once. She hesitated on opening the door to the shop, but finally, she did so, and stepped inside, being immediately greeted by an older looking, rich woman, wearing enough diamonds to feed the entire nation of Somalia.

The woman helped Sinistra pick out a few evening dresses. She couldn't help but be happy, feeling important for once. She was finally doing something for herself, and that satisfied her. About 30 minutes passed, and Sinistra went to a few other stores to pick up other clothing. About 2 hours passed, and by that time, all of the stores were starting to close. Sinistra and the guard hopped back into the limo, and headed back to where they came from.
Sinistra was excited about going out to dinner tonight. She wanted to get ready immediately, but she began to think about what the guard said to her. He said that Aris loved her. She did believe in love at first site, but this seemed a little odd to her. Nevertheless, she'll go out to dinner with him, and see what happens.

The Imperial Palace came in sight and Niko parked the limo in the Imperial Palace’s secure parking lot. He opened the door for Sinestra and escorted her in the Imperial Palace and back to her room. He opened the room and took out his hand gun. He checked the room to see if everything was okay and came out.
“Everything is clear. In 3 hours Aris will come and personally come and take you out to dinner. Also I will also show you the way through the palace if you want too.”

He led here to the kitchen which wasn’t to far away from her room. The kitchen was huge. There where around 10 chefs going around the kitchen getting the food ready.
“Hey Niko!” said the master chef of the kitchen.
“Hello Kosta.” Replied back the guard.
“I need you to cook a light meal for Sinestra here. She is Aris’s guest here at the palace.”

She looked around at the chefs. They all had shocked looks on their faces.
"Yea, yea..I know. Nothing fancy for you guys to cook, but hey, its the simple things in life that make me happy. You all don't know what its like to be exiled for many years, and to not be able to have the food that you want for that long. I suppose you just get used to whatever they give you. But now, I actually have a choice in the matter. It's been so long since I've had these foods, that I actually forgot how they looked like, or even tasted like."

"One plain cheeseburger and macaroni and cheese coming right up."
He headed to the stove and got everything ready. After 30 minutes the food was ready. He brought a plate over to her.
"Your order is done. If you need a drink just open that fridge." He pointed at a small fridge.
Euroslavia

She opened up the fridge to see a plethora of drinks. Every single soda that existed was right in here, along with every brand of 'Spring Water'. Personally, its been a long time since she had a Pepsi...but then again...she always love Coke....
Sinistra reached into the fridge and grabbed a can of RC Cola.
"Why choose Coke or Pepsi, when you can have an RC Cola?"
Everyone began to laugh at the fact that she would be the perfect person for an RC Cola commercial. She grabbed her food, sat down at the large table in the dining room, and began to scarf everything down. Within 10 minutes, she had eaten everything, and had 2nd's of food.
"I am so stuffed...I couldn't possibly eat anything else. Although, in about 2 hours, I bet I'll be just as hungry as before."
Again, she began to chuckle, but then she burped like no one had ever burped before. The chefs, at one point during the massive digestive cry, thought that the windows would break, and their ear drums would shatter, but to their avail, nothing of that sort happened.
"Whoops....sorry. I seemed to have forgotten my manners. You see, being exiled with a bunch of guys as guards eventually gets you to lose your 'lady-like' tendencies."
Nikolaos The Great

“I will not be surprised if the whole Palace heard you. We still have a lot to see yet. Next we will be going into the Emperor’s library. He spends most of his times there ever since his son, Achilles, got killed by General Celes of Euroslavia. But last time I heard he is heading toward some secret military base. After that I will show you the games room, the garden, the small war museum, the guard’s area, and many more places.”
He brought Sinestra into the library and surprisingly Nikolaos wasn’t in it. The library was massive containing around 20,000 books. Portraits of great politicians and past Emperors of Greece hung on the walls. There was also a desk full of open books that Nikolaos forgot to put away. The books where on the Balkan history mostly on Euroslavia it looks like he has been hard at work to find weaknesses in the Euroslavian army.
“So you like the library?”

She looked all around the library. It was massive. The art on the ceiling was what stunned her the most. She never knew the Greeks had such...skill in the arts.
"I suppose I should have expected this library to be so elegant. Greeks have an inherited trait for being inovators of time, as they have been since the first Greek city-state was formed. Even when the Euroslav's and the Greek's were one nation..."
She stopped, and thought about what she said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up such a ..sensitive subject. I suppose it is hard to see the Euroslav's and the Greeks as previously being 1 nation. But nevertheless, this library is beautiful. I must ask you though, do you have a copy of Sun Tzu's "The Art of War"? I have been wanting to read that book for a long time."

"Some Greeks have learned to live to accept it and others haven't. Just don't go around in Greece saying that because the next day you will be found dead."
He went over the computer and searched for Sun Tzu's "The Art of War".
"It says we have it."
He read where the book was located and he went to get and came back with a copy of it.
"Here you go. We better leave now because the Emperor might come back any minute."
He led her outside and headed for the garden. The garden was very beautifull. There where many types of plants and trees that where able to grow in Greece.
Euroslavia
30-10-2004, 19:06
"Amazing! I haven't been able to find this book anywhere! Thank you Niko."
They were in the middle of the garden on the side of the palace. It was even more beautiful than the library. There were so many exotic flowers that she had not seen in Euroslavia.
"Is that a new breed of carnations? The colors are spectacular! I've never seen a multi-colored carnation though. Purple and pink mixed together. It's amazing. I can see myself being here majority of the time, probably reading this book."
She looked at her book, "The Art of War". Then she looked back up, and around the entire garden again. She walked over to an apple tree, and picked off one. It was perfectly ripe. She took a bite, giving a smile of satisfaction. It tasted perfect. She looked over to the left again, but this time, she seen a man walking towards the garden, in the distance. She wasn't exactly sure who it was though, so she continued to watch him as he walked closer to her.

"What exactly is going on in Athens Square? I sure hope things calm down, and that no one is hurt..."
She paused for a second, and looked into his eyes. She felt nothing but goodness around him.
"I would love to continue the tour."
She smiled, and began to walk next to him.

He was happy now. He had the woman of his dreams walking with him.
“Don’t worry they are just protesting that they want there religions un-banned. They will only kill if they are met with violence. I am guessing you like the art of war since you are reading that book. Well then I will show you the small war museum in this palace.”
He brought her in front of a steel enforced door. He put in the code but didn’t care to hide it from Sinestra since he trusted her. The code was 935678. The steel enforced doors got unlocked and he pushed them open. Inside where different kind of guns from World War 1 to Vietnam War, there where a few tanks in there, artilleries, jeeps, cannons.
“The reason we have tight security for this room is because these aren’t fake. They are real and the tanks and guns are loaded. In the other door in this room leads you to a shooting area where you can try out the guns.”

Sinistra was amazed at the amount of trust Aris had already put in her. Then again, its not like she could really do anything to sabotage his nation. She had no power, no wealth, and was basically relient on him.
Although, it's not like she would even try to sabotage things. She was perfectly happy with the way things were going.
When they walked into what she deemed, the "War Room". She looked around at all of the area, and was in shock at how much firepower was in here. She immediately spotted a T-81 Heavy Battle Tank, hopped in it, and took it for a test drive. She looked as though she belonged in war, with the way she maneuvered it. At the firing range, she took aim at a 'target' that she had seen in the distance, and fired. She immediately hit the target, dead on, and took the tank back into the War Room, and parked it. Sinistra hopped out, and smiled at Aris.
"Sorry, had to get out a little aggression there."

Sinistra made a quick phone call to one of the butlers she got to talk to in secret, and he was going to do her hair really quick. She got dressed, and had her hair done quite quickly. She was wearing a dark red dress from an early Euroslavic era, and a large red hat and red gloves. Obviously, red was her favorite color. She came out of the room, and sat down on a chair in the hallway, waiting for her date...

The silence in the limo was extremely awkward. Sinistra wanted to say something to break the ice, but she wasn't sure what she should say. At first, she was going to ask Aris about what exactly happened to the former Empress of Euroslavia, which was her sister, but she didn't want to forcibly pull out any undesired emotions.
But at the same time, she wanted to know about her sister, even though it was doubtful that they would ever see each other again. Last thing she heard, Destra was in Vastiva, as a government in exile, however, she has said nothing about any chance at coming back to Euroslavia and taking it back. Sinistra didn't see Destra as someone who would begin another war, just to get herself back in power, so it was unlikely that would happen.
So, Sinistra brought up something that he wouldn't mind talking about.
"So what restaurant are we going to? You had mentioned it before, but my memory has slipped my mind again. What do you have planned after that?"

Sinistra felt a little more at ease. Aris had already done so much for her, and now he would try to locate Destra. She began to wonder exactly why he was doing all of this for him. Was it because of love? Can someone fall in love with someone else that quickly?
It's possible, I suppose... she thought.
She began to smile at Aris, realizing that she shouldn't worry about such things. She was about to go to one of the most expensive restaurants in the entire nation. That's something she has never done. She was also going to be accompanied by the person that she was beginning to fall in love with. What could be better than that?

Across the street from the restaurant, a rather junky looking sedan was parked. The sides were coated in rust, and the back fender hung lopsided, and looked ready to fall off. One thing, however, did not quite fit the appearance of the automobile: the windows were tinted so that it was impossible to determine who, if anyone, was inside.
"Boris! Get up you imbecile! There!"
"Wha-?"
"There, idiot! Thats them."
"Them?"
"Yes."
"Hm. Lucky man. She's quite a catch."
The men spoke a bizarre dialect, slavic by the sound of it, but difficult to place exactly. Their faces were bathed in shadow, as the vehicle had managed to park between the glow of two streetlights, keeping the darkness intact.
"Do we move now?"
"No. He told us to wait."
The second man grunted.
"It looks like he's packing. See the bulge in his jacket?"
"I wonder if he's trying to compensate."

She looked up at the waiter. He was giving her a kind of stare that made her seem inferior. She began to turn red in embarrassment, and made up her mind on her order.
"I'll have the Fettuccini Alfredo, with a salad....and a Pepsi to drink."
