We apologize for interrupting your regularly scheduled program, but HNN has unconfirmed reports that there have been shots fired in Glyn, the new capital city of Majesto during the openning events. We also have, and I repeat, unconfirmed reports that the Crown Prince has been shot.

We here at HNN are still gathering information as we get it. We'll have more for you as soon as it's ready.

To recap, HNN has unconfirmed reports that Crown Prince Louis Cessar has been shot while attending a banquet in Majesto.

The Fuhrer of Witzgall, Fritz Viechal, wishes to extend his hand in sadness and remorse if these reports are confirmed. Knowing the Crown Prince of Hamptonshire as a role model of sorts, this news saddens the entire Sadistic Dictatorship of Witzgall.

Being socialites and meeting the Crown Prince on numerous occasions, The Fuhrer is already doubtful of such news.

However, we can only await an update on the situation.

We can now confirm our reports, Crown Prince Louis Cessar has been shot while in the Majestoian capital of Glyn. Sources from the Foreign Ministry have told HNN that the Rosian Ambassador managed to contact the Hamptonian Government during the assault. From what HNN can piece together Hamptonian Royal Marines are still in a gun battle with the assassins.

The Crown Prince was promptly evacuated, with one of his guards, to the Hamptonian Embassy in Glyn. We do know of the conditions of either man. HNN is attempting to reach the Embassy in Majesto for comment.

We'll bring you more as it develops.

HNN has just received confirmation from the Rosian Embassy in Hamptonshire City and from the Hamptonian Embassy in Glyn...Crown Prince Louis is dead. The Prince was killed during the openning exchange of fire. We're taking you live to a press conference outside of the Embassy in Glyn.


"It is with great sorrow that I must inform the people of Hamptonshire that Crown Prince Louis Cessar is dead. His Highess was killed instantly by a shot to the head. His personal bodyguard was also dead on arrival here at the Embassy.

While we do not as of yet know what has completely transpired, we do know that whoever did this had it planned. The Grand Duchy of Hamptonshire will not rest until we find and eliminate those that have committed this horrific act.

I have managed to contact the Grand Duke, he asks that we all pray for the soul of who he describe as a "Fallen Hero of Liberty" and for the entire nation. The Grand Duke will be addressing the nation, and world, later tonight.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the nation, citizens, and the government of Hamptonshire. The murder of Prince Louis Cessar was a surprise to us, as we are sure it was to you. For once, Random Kingdom has to agree with President Mills. The Supreme Ministers offer their condolences and will also have two minutes of silence, even though we sadly never knew the prince.

The Fuhrer of Witzgall has announced that today will forever known as United Crown Day, and the entire nation of Witzgall will enter silence in one hour. This silence will last for four minutes, after which the Fuhrer will speak on the Prince's behalf.

This is a sad, sad day.

The Nycton Senate and Imperator send's it sorrows and condolences to Hamptonshire. A purple flag, slightly smaller than the national flag on the staff has been lowered at half staffed, signifying a tragedy in royalty in the world.

Statement to All Nations Sending Condolences

The Grand Duke thanks all nations that have expressed their remorse for the assassination of Crown Prince Louis Cessar. This is a time of great and nearly unendurable tragedy for the nation. The Crown Prince was Prime Minister for nearly two decades, he entered power immediately after the Soigicas Terror Attacks. He guided Hamptonshire through times of trial and hardship. His presense will be dearly missed, but not soon forgotten.

At this time there are no plans for the memorial services of the Crown Prince, the event is just too fresh. Once the Grand Duke has decided upon a memorial service nations will be allowed to send representatives.

We are touched by all nations that have expressed their sympathy and their shared sense of loss. We shall never forget.

The Government and People of Hamptonshire send our unreserved thanks to all nations that have sent their condolences and offers of aide. Since it has been but hours since the attack and assassination of the Crown Prince, details are still sketchy. Investigators from the Royal Police, Justice Ministry, Royal Bureau of Investigation, and from the Royal Army Intelligence Service are already en route to Majesto. We will find, we will hunt, and we will exterminate all who have any connect to those that have killed the Crown Prince.

This Government is working with the Majestoian authorities in this matter. We only invision the need of extensive foreign assistance should whatever organization or group that acted have deep foreign ties.

The Crown Prince and I were never friends, we fought fiercely aganist each other in the Royal Congress. I may not have agreed with his ideas or viewpoints, but I cannot deny that he was a patriot of the highest calibre. He was Prime Minister of Hamptonshire for every twenty years, in the sixteen months since I've taken office I've come to appreciate the pressures that were put upon him.

This Government will not rest until we have justice.

Official Statement From the Autocratic Collective

Speaking on behalf of the Autocratic Collective, it is safe to say the the entire nation is in shock after the day's events. The nation was caught off guard by these unspeakable acts of terrorism against the nations of Majesto, Hamptonshire, and Tenarius and greatly mourns the loss of the Crown Prince, who was a close friend to the Most Supreme Dictator.

It also gives me great pain to announce that the Most Supreme Dictator, Daniel Flaherty, is in critcial but stable condition at Parkway Hospitial in Glyn. He suffered two gunshots to the legs and one gunshot to the arm. However, he lost massive amounts of blood and shock began to set in. Because the MSD is currently undergoing emergency surgery and is not in a condition to conduct the affairs of the nation, I will be acting as Chief Administrator of the nation until the MSD can make a full recovery.

As we speak, the Majestoian Nation Police Force is security Astoria Park and will begin to conduct an immediate investigation into who is behind these unspeakiable acts of terror. I wish to assure that nations of the world and the governments of Tenarius and Hamptonshire that we will not stop until justice is served.

It has just been confirmed by the Royal Secret Service of Tenarius. Queen Sarah III died just recently, having suffered two bullet wounds to the leg, one to the gut, two to the chest and a final one to the shoulder. The entire nation has been put into mourning on this ocassion, and until such time as a New Queen is chosen the Cabinent and I will be ruling in her stead.

We are glad to hear that the Most Supreme Dictator has stabilized. Our prayers and sympathies go out to him, and hope that he recovers. We also hope that those responsible for these heinous crimes do not go unpunished.

He appears tired; his eyes and the corners of his mouth droop. He had always seemed younger than his 77 years, now he looked to be an old, sad man in his late eighties.*

"Good evening my fellow Hamptonians, our brothers and sisters in Majesto and Tenarius, and to all people of the world...today has been a most extraordinary day. What started as a mission of peace and friendship has ended in a pool of blood. There is no other way to say this- my nephew, your Crown Prince, is dead. His soul has departed this world to return only at the end of days. I...we, shall miss him dearly."

*He stopped for a moment, at the end of the last sentence his voice began to break every so slightly. He had to fight against his emotions.*

"We know not yet who is responsible for the murder of the the Crown Prince or why it occurred. The question of "why" is no longer important, if they meant for us to cower if fear, they have failed. If they meant for us to back away from the Most Supreme Dictator, they failed. If they meant for us to attack them with our unreserved might, they have succeeded.

We will not rest until we bring all of those involved in this horrific act to justice. If we have to crawl amongst the scum of the earth to find you, that's what we will do. If we have to break down the Gates of Hell, that's what we will do. No one has ever successfully attacked Hamptonshire without being punished. We will not alter that trend now."

*He paused for a moment and pulled out a piece of paper from inside his desk. He left it folded shut.*

"There was a poem that the Crown Prince was especially fond of, he would read it to me many a late night in the Palace. I would like to share that poem with you now."


*The Grand Duke took the piece of paper and unfolded it. It was the Crown Prince's favorite poem, written in his own handwriting. The Grand Duke tried to begin reciting it but a lump formed at the back of his throat. He closed his eyes, swallowed, and quietly began to read the poem out loud.*

"I can see the distant light, hear the music all surrounding,
That shatters the silence so heavy to bear,
Lifts my soul into the night, fills my heart with love abounding,
And brings me the peace we all surely will share.

Though it's time for farewell, the time for the parting,

*He finished the poem and started straight into the camera. His eyes were filled with a profound and deep sadness tempered by his natural dignity. He blinked several times and cast his eyes back downward to the paper.*

The screens of almost every channel in the Imperium save those satellite channels that originated from foreign countries, suddenly stopped whatever program was on at the time and instead showed the family seal of the Larsen dynasty. After a couple moments the screen blinked to show the Emperor, a tall Nordic-looking man with his white-blonde hair fashioned into a topknot and tied back. His red-rimmed eyes and a scowl that was almost a full-on snarl defined the look upon his face, the intermingled sadness and barely contained rage defied the almost aloof impassiveness that was so easily marked those of the royal family.

Alexander briefly looked down at what appeared to be notes upon his podium, took a deep breath, and began to speak, “Citizens on the Imperium and those of other nations watching this, I come before you to address the assassination of Crown Prince Louis Cessar of Hamptonshire. In only very few instances in history has a person sought to destroy the life of someone so important to a nation as the heir apparent to a throne, and more often than not that has led to, or been the result of, war. As the Imperium is sworn to protect the interests of Hamptonshire through several treaties and as I am a man of honor who detests nothing more than cowards and their craven acts, I come before the world to swear several oaths.

First, to my friend the Grand Duke, I swear to you that you will have your justice, even if others attempt to deny you such. If necessary the Imperium will be your phalanx, there to pave your path to the cowardly bastards who did this with blood, sweat, and steel. I do not recall ever having occasion to meet your nephew, but I have no doubt that he was a man of honor and great courage, the loss of such men to such evil demand a justice all its own. I have never lost one so close to me as your nephew is to you, so I cannot share your grief, but I do feel the loss nevertheless. That is why I make my oath to you.

Second, to the group, organization, or nation responsible for this atrocity, I swear that you will be found and brought to justice. There is neither shadows dark enough that you may hide nor wind strong enough to take you away to where you cannot to be found. My reach is limitless, my patience infinite, my rage so great that no cold may ever extinguish it. You have tickled the sleeping dragon, and for this transgression the price that is extolled shall have no peer now or ever again.

Third, to the person or persons who ordered this, I swear to you that if you should ever find yourselves in the custody of the Imperium, not only will your death be slow and excruciating, it will be by my hand. The Grand Duke is far more forgiving and tolerant man than I will ever be, pray that you be at his mercy and pray that you have not managed to so upset this great man that whatever punishment he levies is far worse than whatever I could hope to dream of.

Finally, I come back to all those who are viewing this address. Let it be known that with my approval, both the House of Lords and House of Commons of the Imperial Senate has unanimously voted to levy a bounty against the heads of those directly responsible for this unspeakable crime. For every person such person who is delivered alive into Hamptonshire or Imperial custody, 100 Million Imperial Dollars will be awarded; for every such person who is delivered dead into Imperial or Hamptonshire custody, 1 Billion Imperial Dollars. This offer is good until such time that all of those responsible are apprehended and verified by DNA match.

This is Don Everns; Good morning and good day to you all. Throughout the night HNN has kept you up to date on the latest information from the Assassination in Glyn. We have brought you the Grand Duke's Address as well as interviews with regular citizens on the street. Our collective wounds are still fresh, we know that.

We have a reporter stationed at Prince Elector Fredrick IV Royal Air Force Base covering the arrival of the slain Prince's coffin. I'll turn this over to our reporter in the field, Earl Decarno.


"Thank's Don, the Crown Prince's body has just arrived here at the Base. The mood is somber and quite reserved.

The Prince's coffin was flown via transport plane from Glyn's airport back to Hamptonshire for the funeral services, which have yet to be announced.
