After coming out of over a century of isolation, Grand Duke Kos has taken the desicion to open up trade routes with foreign powers. Our main exports are
Fish (11 contracts) - 1 contract = 10 metric tons
Wheat (0 contracts) - 1 conract = 8 metric tonnes
Copper (1 contract) - 1 conract = 10 metric tonnes
Iron (4 contracts) - 1 conract = 12 metric tonnes
Iron and copper ores (7 contracts) - 1 conract = 15 metric tonnes
Worked metals (2 contracts) - 1 conract = 5 metric tonnes
Textiles (3 contracts) - 1 conract = 7 metric tonnes
Pottery and ceramics (2 contracts) - 1 contract = 2 million pieces
Coal (1 contract) - 1 conract = 5 metric tonnes
Commercial boat building (2 contract)
(All contracts are per year)
Please state what you wish to import, and/or export. Currently Apollina is in need of aluminium, medicines, and electronics; this said we will consider any offer.
Trade Minister, Senator Thesos
OOC - These trades do not need to be two way, they can be simple one way exports or imports.
The Dominion of Godular wishes to establish relations regarding the following:
1) Iron
2) Iron
3) Iron
4) Iron and Copper Ore
5) A bit more iron, to taste.
6) Commercial Boat Building
You may think I am joking, but we want as much in the way of raw materials as we can get our hands on. Particularly with regards to steel.
In return, we suspect you'll find that our Computing Technologies, encompassing both Information Tech and Electronics are EXTREMELY advanced... and cheap too!
We look forward to hearing from you.
Inside the borders of Jurrik, several people and government orgnzations, wish to export certain medicinal and narcotics. Please advise, on wether you will except certain trade, or decline it.
The things that we wish for are Weaponary and Nerve Agents. That is it.
Sincerely,
Krik Guztik.
General of the Nation of Jurrik.

Dominion of Godular - A trade envoy is on thier way to your capital to confirm this deal. We look forward to this trade relationship and offer a site for a Gondularan Embassy.
Jurrik - We will happily import medicinal drugs, however we do not have the military agents or hardware you require.
The envoy has arrived safely and is currently in negotiations with several of the more... trade-savvy Governate Archons. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to come to an accomodation that we'll both benefit from.
We accept your offer with regards to establishing diplomatic relations and will accept whatever accomodations you require.
Space for an Embassy has been allocated in Kentei city, and we anticipate your diplomatic staff's arrival.

Official Statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Transportation
The Grand Duchy of Hamptonshire is keenly interested in openning commerical ties with your fine nation. Our suppliers will ship the crude via tankers, with no transportation costs added to the price of the transaction.
This contract for one million barrels per day (365 million per year) at $35.00 a barrel will come up for renewal every four years.

The Grand Duchy of Hamptonshire - This is a most exellent proposal, this will put a great boost into our economy. An envoy is on his way to seal this agreement.
Republic of Upper Xen - Your offer is very interesting, please tell us more about this system and how easy it is to install.
The Dominion of Godular - We are very happy that this agreement has gone through.
We would like fish in return for oil or you could just buy the oil.
Waylend has stopped using oil as of 6 years ago, but we still have robots working on the rigs.
We're wiling to sell you a barrel for $15.00.
We can sell you about 7 million barrels of oil a day
38,325,000,000 Dollars a year
2,555,000,000 Barrels a year
If you accept this contract will last as long as you want, if we or you wants to stop we nations will have to contact each other through telegrams.
If your wondering why a island nation wants fish we would be happy to tell you we called much of everything that we could eat except in small towns in the desert with no valuable recources around. All around the cities there is acid rain and people almost have to wear gas masks.

We are elated that we could bid for your contract. Shipments of oil from our Manium-South Oilfields will begin immediately.
The Federation would like to reach an agreement regarding imports of iron, copper, and worked metals.
The Federation could arrange exports of information technology and/or military hardware (mostly small arms), if this is to your liking.

This is unfortunate for the citizens of Waylend. Unfortunatly we now have a contract for oil supply, and cannot afford another. However we are happy to supply a contract for the export of fish to Waylend.
Random Kingdom
26-10-2004, 21:52
Since the Information Technology industry is the biggest in our economically challenged nation, and it is easy to trade with, we of Random Kingdom will send in computers and people skilled in computing. We do not expect any cash in exchange.
Apollina
26-10-2004, 21:57
To the FCD; Apollina can supply your nation with copper and worked metals, however a contract for all of our iron for export has already been signed. Hoever with the growth of our economy, we will be able to supply this in the near future. Our Abassador will contact your Ministary when we can fill your needs. As for imports, our Defence Office has informed the Trades Office that if the FCD can supply ammunition for our nation (small arms, tank shells, artillery shells etc), this would be very much needed.

We thank Random Kingdom for thier generousity,

Agreed. The Federation will arrange imports of copper and worked metals, and is awaiting notification from your ambassador regarding imports of iron at a later point.

Grand Chandler for the Far Strelso to the nations Godular, Jurik, and Waylend:
good people & dealers, greetings! Our humble (but extremely wellguarded) little nation offers these trade deals:
Godular:
one of our newest citizens has sourced a giant meteor (pure meteoritic iron!!)
of some billion kilos. Exchange: your school system, which we would, complete with *all* inhabitants, transfer to out humble little (but extremely wellguarded) archipelaego.
Jurik: we have excellent nerve agents, developed from our extensive studies into conefish and blueringed octopedes- what could you offer a nation of hardworking gourmet intellectuals?
Waylend - we dont actually need oil (we're solar/wind/hydrogen powered) but we now - thanks to a Jello rain, have a huge amount of fish...could you offer us something? Shall we just send you the surplus???
Salutations from the Grand Chandler of the Far Strleso, where spelling is just a bugger, but triggerfingers are *extremely* ready & accurate-

Juosh - Apollina will happily import electronics from you, however we have no iron output left to export, however Ambassador Yanis will contact your Ministry if and when a supply is available.
Winselle - This agreement would benefit us greatly. If you contact the office of Ambassador Illios then things can get started and the contracts signed. How much wheat do you wish to trade? One contract worth is equal to 8 thousand metric tonnes of grain.
Kanuckistan - (OOC - I am not space tech) We are interested in importing drug treatment chemicals, information, and equipment, however first we must know if these are these to create medicines or other substances?

OOC:
I already had a list; figured it easiest for you to just pick what was apropriate for your nation.
IC:
That particular entry reffers to items and information related to treating drug addiction and poisoning; however, we have a wide varriety of medical and chemistry related materials avalible for export.
Were you, prehaps, looking for medical or recreational drug creation materials? Both are avalible; we can also manufacture designer substances for either purpose and export the finished products - we will not ship materials across boarders wherein they are restricted or illegal without government permission, however.

We require medicinal drugs and/or drug producing materials. We have no real land borders, Apollina covers two islands (ooc - one about the size of Crete and the other the size of Rhodes) so that aspect should be no real problem.

We can supply both, then, readily enough. Our pharmaceutical industry is top-notch.
Issues regaurding boarder restrictions were mainly to assure you that we wouldn't try to import controled substances if your nation had laws against such; some folks get paranoid when one so much as mentions recreational drugs.

The Diplomatic Corps will have someone meet them at the airport to finalise things.
Is there anything else I could interest you in? High quality woods and stone for construction and luxary items? Composite or synthetic diamond armours to protect your soldiers and persons of importance? Maybe some spiced Blueberry wine for a special ocasion? Or prehaps a copy of Toroid 2 and a Q-Sphere to pass the time and frag your friends?

Stuanism, we are happy to negotiate the export of fish to your nation, unfortunatly however, an agreement is already to be signed with another nation regarding our entire wheat export stocks. At present we do not wish to import either marijuana, and our army is well equipped and well trained; as we say, we are happy to export fish to Stuanism.

Unfortunatly, we can't readily help with that; your aparent exports are already in ample supply in our nation.
If you have any additional needs not yet satisfied, however, we can likly supply; aluminium and electronics - military, commercial, and consumer - are both avalible in quantity, and it's not unlikly that we could fill any unlisted need in some measure.

Kanuckistan may be able to help us here actually. We already have commercial and civilian electronics contracts, however our military requires communications equipment (vehicle and man portable radios, radar systems, long range comms and encryption etc). This should not affect our defecit as it will be covered mostly by the Defence Office.

We can provide that and more; for example, command and control electronic data management and tactical awarness systems are an essential tool for feild commanders on the modern battlefeild, and man-portible hand-launched micro-UAVs provide on-demand squad-level ariel recon; thermal and nightvision systems ensure your forces are not found lacking against a foe so equiped, and allows a tremendous advantage against those lacking.

This would be exellent for our armed forces as we are currently trying to modernise to bring our military up to date after decades of decline. Would it be possible to contact Apollina via telegram, from here the Defence Office will take over. If you could expand on what you have to offer, and the potential costs, it would be very much appreciated.

Republic of Upper Xen - Your offer is very interesting, please tell us more about this system and how easy it is to install.
Well then. Here is some more information on the subject.
On ease of installation:
"T3
A T3 line is capable of carrying data at 45 mbps — enough to handle full-screen, full-motion video. A single T3 connection is the equivalent of 28 T1 lines and is appropriate for large companies with multitudes of users. T3 circuits are delivered over twix coaxial cables, and normally require the installation of fiber optics into your office. Fortunately, this is customarily provided by the telephone company delivering the circuit."

We thank Upper Xen for the information they have supplied for us on thier T3 systems. We are interested in this system, especially as the fiber optics are to be installed by the company selling this technology, will this employ local men. Of course the experts will be from outside however for the ground work is it possible to employ Apollinans? Currently we wish to fit out this service in our Govermental Complex, and we have contacted various businesses who would also like this technology for commercial and industrial use. Thank you.
